Finally got mine, but can't use it since it's Windows only rather than multiplatform like they initially promised. Maybe when they start a Mac beta I'll be able to try it.
I got the key for Sigil, but redeemed it on my phone. I'm trying to find the client download on my PC and can't. Any idea where I can get the download?

Happy to see more people joining the ranks. I actually really like it and find it pretty easy to use. I wish I had time to run a game though so I could test it with friends. The level of detail on what is available is wonderful.
I don't get it. My friend got it this week while I didn't, even though I signed up first, the day it got announced, not only that, but I've been master tier for years, before he even started playing D&D. What's the criteria for the invites at all?
I see. I thought it'd be by sign up order. I wish I had gotten it T_T. At least maps is really good nowadays, tbf I might not switch given how practical everything is on maps now. Thanks for the reply.
Don't worry, I'm gaggng to try it too but if they gave it out in sign up order I don't think it would be fair on the people who weren't as terminally online as some of us and only check in once every few days
If any good person who has closed beta has a spare key im happy to play with you... send me a msg :)
I would genuinely love to share, but I believe the person ultimately responsible for maintaining the integrity of the NDAs are the DM holder, even if the players must agree too. That's why I personally will only be playing with friends... once any get the time.
I mistakenly put the code in on my mac, then switched to pc and it says code already used. Who or where is the best place to contact as general help or issues contact page doesnt cover this yet.
Disregard, thanks to Tarodnets post above I am able to get to it! Thanks!
I signed up. Got it this week. Only to find out it's an .exe file for Windows only. WTF?
How do you reach users havingonly one platforma avialabl for testing? So infuriating. I haven't owned a Windows laptop for over a decade and anything released in this milenium should be multi-platform.
I do not know the NDA you sign, but surely you are allowed to share with players you want to play with? I would play with you in good faith. Would not want any person to go against an NDA. I respect that, nor would I agree to play with a NDA that does not facilitate playing with players of your choosing.

Yes, I can share with those I want to play with. I have keys to give out. My point was that I would prefer to only give it out to people I know and trust. I don't necessarily believe anyone would be a bad actor from this site, but the responsibility (if I understand it right) is ultimately mine to maintain the integrity of the NDA, which extends from me to my players. I am given the codes to hand out to trustworthy people and if someone uses my codes and then spams the internet with things WotC is not ready to reveal, then I might well be on the hook.
NDAs are nothing new though. I have signed a few with work, with third party D&D projects, with Daggerheart, and the Cosmere RPG (which was VERY fun to be part of. Please get it when it releases!). It is not as restrictive as you might think. In fact, this NDA is probably the least restrictive I have ever seen. But just because it is not very oppressive, doesn't mean I want to be careless with how I participate in it.
Based on what I have seen from others though, invites are going out in waves. You may very well be getting yours soon.

Just got my alpha invite this morning - so it looks like they're being sent out in waves.
I got mine on Tuesday.

Anyone know how big the download is before I hit download?
When I downloaded it, it was about 115 MB.

Same here. Any clue when there might be a Mac client?
I think they said there would be a MacOS client and an iOS client at release, but that the beta was Windows only.

I received the invite on Tuesday, but I couldn't try it until last night. It feels promising with huge potential.

In my case, if I go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/project-sigil I see a "Check Status" button. After clicking it, there is a "Download now" button.

Probably random, which is by far the best way

Again the corporate world at play.
