Very much true Project Sigil Closed Beta FAQ – D&D Beyond - "Can anyone sign up for the closed beta? The Project Sigil closed beta is currently available to players in North America only."
Either you have a DnD account with a USA address and payment method or a USA friend invited you. And I guess North America may also mean Canada... I guess?
Good morning. Yesterday we had our first session using Project Sigil. We were all present, mirroring one player's screen on the TV. Two couples played, sharing their notebooks 2 by 2, so that in Sigil each player controlled 2 characters. Below is our feedback and considerations about the program. I'm leaving this report here because I don't know the correct place to do so.
Instability in the connection
System slowness
Will we have a first-person view for the miniatures?
Unable to see the miniature during the creation/customization process
We suggest limiting the movement of the players' minis according to their speed
Mini that had been created disappeared when another player logged in
Some players had minis on their screens while others only saw tokens (this corrected itself automatically after logout and new login)
During the mini creation process, the dwarf looked more like a small human
Connection bug
Difficulties when taking possession of 2 characters
Will we have a text box?
A text box would be useful to record dice rolls and a history of these rolls (also record any roll; not just the rolls directly from the character sheets)
Ability to access the complete character sheet within Sigil
Advantage or disadvantage die was not rolled some times
Counting difficult terrain in mini movement
We had a bug in the initiative order during the inn escape (some characters were replaced by the fire token and their turn was skipped)
Optional automatic d20 tests
Thank you. I hope this message reaches the people responsible for creating this phenomenal program for all of us who love this game so much. I appreciate being able to be part of this.

I have a UK based account, with UK payment method from a UK bank with a UK address
Guess I must be imagining the sessions I've DM-ed here in the UK, with all my UK-based buddies after receiving my email.

There's at least one other forum user (can't remember who) that's based in Germany and is also testing Sigil as we speak. They may have put US only in the terms but they're definitely not sticking to that
So guys, please, tell me if I forgot anything or I'm mistaking something:
WoC said "fall of 2024" would be the moment they sent the codes. They are doing now in January 2025...
It was said to be "for North America accounts" only, and it was not, as there are UK and German players testing it...
They told the test would be multiplatform, but it's windows only...
They are sending the codes almost randomly, even considering those who has just made a DnD Beyond account for the test and giving to them before dungeon masters with years of premium subscription and helpful feedback for WoC and DnDB...
They said nothing about anything of this, send every player more than one code to share with friends and tell it is a NDA closed beta?
Well, this is bad, like, really bad. It's like joking with our face. It's even strange to say that because I liked all of that (I'm getting a good notebook only next month, I'm Brazilian, I only use windows and I know multiplatform development is far slower, I'm not premium in DnD Beyond and I have a friend to test with).
I hope they care more about their clients and the DnD world. They have responsibility over the biggest game franchise of the world, it's so sad to see how they're taking it...

They did start sending pre-release codes then. Like all pre-release software, things expand over time.
They told the test would be multiplatform, but it's windows only...
The FAQ always stated the alpha would be Windows only while the final release was targeting a multiplatform release.

This is probably the best way to get feedback from multiple levels of experience. You not getting picked at random isn't the same as a bad selection methodology. It just means you didn't get picked randomly.

It was in the FAQ you didn't bother to read.
I get that you're posting this in bad faith, but like we deserve a better tier of bad faith commenter.
Can anyone tell me how to uninstall Sigil from my laptop (not sure if it is just the launcher or more files). It is not listed in my uninstall program list so I am a bit at a loss. My graphics card does not play to nicely with this and I do not want to clutter up my laptop with files I will not use. Thank you for any reply.
The NDA is about sharing screenshots or videos. We can talk about it, but that’s about it. We are given 5 friend codes to give to friends we feel are going to abide by the rules. Trust me, it sucks not being able to show all my D&D friends, but at least I can talk to them about it.

Run the dndlauncher, there is an uninstall settings button to the right of the PLAY button after you sign in.
It's DDB's new VTT. I just got my codes today so I haven't tried it yet, but they hyped it up well.

Um....Mind translating that to simple? (I have no clue what any of this means.)
Project Sigil is WoTC's (through DnDBeyond) attempt at making a VTT (Virtual Table Top - like Roll20, Foundry, etc.) for playing DnD with friends online instead of sitting together at the same table. You would move tokens or vitural miniatures around the map instead of actual miniatures around the gametable, roll your dice virtually, etc.

I have been invited but have not been able to invite my friends. They redeemed the keys and we're all logged into the launcher but cannot figure out how to join each others' tables!

Nope not coming soon, I do not live in USA - I live in UK :) Keys are only going out to USA peeps.
Really?! I hope that changes soon then because that is a genuine bummer.

Playing D&D since 1982
Have played every version of the game since Basic (Red Box Set), except that abomination sometimes called 4e.

So if a friend sent me a code... where do I use it. I can only find the sign up page and thats it...
Have you tried clicking on your profile and then click on "Redeem a key"?
I have been invited but have not been able to invite my friends. They redeemed the keys and we're all logged into the launcher but cannot figure out how to join each others' tables!
