I'm sure there are a great many people who don't have one or more of these items who are excited to have access to at least one or two (or more of them). For those of us who are whales, fanatics, long-time DDB users, or whatever it's not as exciting and maybe we already have most or all of these items, but they are giving the stuff away for (essentially) free. I'm just happy for the people who are getting something new that maybe excites or inspires them.
Yeah, Spelljammer Academy is one I know a lot of people missed and regretted. In sone ways it's nice because it means if I miss something, it'll probably be available at Christmas.
Still, would be nice to get a few new things. The only thing that's new to me so far (and I'm not a subscriber) is the gift wrapped dice set, which I'll scoop up when the 12th one releases.

Yeah, it's not available if you haven't already claimed it (except via the 12 days, obviously).

So Beyond just decided to ignore people. they removed the option to claim free stuff and tries to collect personal info and card info under a scam known as - free gifts.
Who's the brainless goblin who thought it was smart to do this !!! I wanted the free Christmas stuff like from the year before, but now I have to go to a site outside D&D Beyond to get FREE DIGITAL STUFF, which isn't on that site and I can't get, because I live in Canada. Further, it has nothing to do with SHIPPING the said product. WTF guys ??? Last year was way better and simpler, a truly nice treat... guess that's over! And you wonder why we're enraged towards your company.

A dungeonmaster since the 80's, I loved D&D ever since I bought my first book at a local hobby store, the 2nd edition Advanced Dungeon Master's Guide and since then, my life was forever changed. 'Nuff Said.

Also learn the definition of scam, they also do not collect your credit card info, it gets put through a credit card processor. They only mite your information is saved is if you elect to have them save it for future payments
The only new items for me were the 2 dice I didn't have, because I didn't buy the IRL Icewind Dale dice, & the Sanguine Dice were just ones I didn't have otherwise.

They have some information, but not credit card information.
Although in my case I'd already gotten the PHB/DMG/MM before so it wasn't like I was giving any new info.

People moreso don't want their data stored, monetized/sold and/or used to train AI.
The data market is the most unregulated industry in the world.

The problem is that the regs are really really difficult to enforce.
Ah, yes. The 12 days of stuff that I can't claim without putting in my address and credit card info. What a wonderful "free gift".

Query: I've seen the idea of purchasing these things as gift for the potential of giving them to those that didn't have an opportunity to get them. Is it possible to get something and determine who to give it to later? Just curious about logistics of it.

Just make sure you check the box Digital Gift. Then your account will have links you can share with anyone.
To be honest, I'm just glad it's not the BS "Come! We're giving you freebies! Oh, you're here? Psych! It's actually an advert to try and sell you stuff!" they've tried in previous years. The demand for personal data in order to get the "free" stuff is not as bad as that - especially when they previously restricted it to Americans for the most part anyway.

At least a couple of the adventures seem to be intro versions of source books, complete with 'buy now' buttons, so....

When you go to check out there's a little tick box for "buy as gift", if you tick that instead of unlocking the content in your library you get emailed a code that you can pass to someone else. As far as I can figure out there's no time limit on these codes either as a friend took nearly a year to redeem some dice I bought them so plenty of time to figure out who to give it to
