Seriously. Why in the name of all that is common sense are we having to go through the entire purchase process for something that is $0.00? Paypal doesn't allow purchases of $0.00 so getting through the process is an unmitigated pain in the backside. Categorically the dumbest design decision ever.
They are hoping that some people might go, "well, I'm already in the store/cart/checkout, I'll pick up one of the books", etc.
It allows them to capture user data they might not otherwise get.
It falls in line with "if you're not the customer [free stuff], you're the product".

Much that once was is lost. Objects in Mirror Image are closer than they appear. All the world's indeed a stage, and we are merely players, performers and portrayers...
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
think the sanguine dice set was part of the subscription perks between May 16, 2022 and Aug 16, 2022
Also, if I'm not mistaken, subscriber perks go away if you end the subscription, but purchased or claimed items or content do not.

Essentially yes although we don't know what yet and in previous years "something free" has also included discounts on specific books and some pretty naff colouring book style stuff. It's worth checking each day but I wouldn't expect to be blown away every day
So are they giving away something free for the next 12 days?
In addition, a lot of the stuff in previous years was only for America. So if you're not American, also be ready for the possibility that things may not work for you.

I'm on the fence about this but here goes... If you already own both 'sets' of freebies, go to the Shopping Cart and click 'give as a gift" and then you can send them to a friend to get for FREE if you are trying to recruit other people to play with. This is the major advantage of processing the transaction this way. Otherwise, everyone is spot on, they want the 'user-data' so that they can market new products and digital content to users. What I would like to see is a more realistic fees for "hard back" items that come with a digital copy. Otherwise, I can go to the book store and get these digital books for a lot less... I wish there were more module options, like old school D&D remakes (i.e. Forgotten Realms, etc.). I also think they should team up with online MMOs (i.e. Cryptic Studios / Neverwinter and D&D Online) for some of this content to be account perks, but alas, the marketing here for D&D Beyond strictly stays in-house.
Would be nice if you could get the free gifts but how it is setup now as a "sale" its not possible for those outside the US as Beyond will not ship outside the US on checkout. Being a long time Beyond user I used to be able to get the gifts.

Both the ones so far are digital so not sure why you’re worried about shipping. I’m in the uk and managed to redeem the dice (already have the adventure)

perks are always yours, they do not go away
Thank you, I stand corrected!

Subscriber perks get suspended if you end the sub. You'll get them back when you restart the sub.

So why when I am "buying" the free digital dice in todays 12 Days of Christmas do I have to give you all my details?? That makes ZERO sense.

It gave me something I already own!
Did that happen to anybody else?

I never even received an email about it. Shrug.

Me either but if you go to the market place it's on the big banner at the top

Thanks! I thought it'd be on the front page, but it isn't (or at least, wasn't).
