So I want to run a published adventure, and I'm thinking that the Lost Laboratory of Kwalish would fit in nicely to where my party is right now. It says it's an adventure for 5th-10th level chars.
My question is - what's the right way to adapt this adventure to the specific level of my players? Are there any guidelines for doing that in the adventure? Seems that thing that are acceptable for 5th-level would be far too easy for 9th.
I usually just find thematically similar monsters of a higher CR (or make an advanced version of the monster) and the adjust the DCs by +1 or +2 for any traps / skill checks.
