The critical role setting (mostly not on D&D Beyond though) has a feat Thrown Arms Master that lets you throw anything, increases the range of regular thrown weapons, and boomerangs them back if you miss.
Like DxJxC stated, there is nothing in game as is to increase the damage or range of thrown weapons inherently. It is useful to note though that throwing a weapon counts as using a ranged attack. The only difference between this and a bow or crossbow is that you have to use the relevant modifier (Strength for a handaxe, Strength OR Dexterity for a dagger since it has the finesse property, as stated on page 147 of the PHB.
Note the important part of this is that throwing a weapon counts as a RANGED attack, which means it would be affected by the Sharpshooter feat. This allows you to take a -5 to the attack roll to gain +10 damage, ignore half and 3/4 cover, and ignore disadvantage on long range attacks. See the feat on page 170 of the PHB
Hope this is useful
EDIT: As per Sage advice posted by Jeremy Crawford, Daggers/Handaxes that are thrown cannot benefit from the damage bonus, but receive all other benefits of the Sharpshooter feat. This is rules as written, and your DM might allow for you to take the damage bonus anyway.

Sharpshooter requires an attack with a ranged weapon, not just a ranged attack. A thrown melee weapon is a ranged attack, but it is not a ranged weapon.
Thank you for catching me, I was only half right. Sharpshooter allows a thrown weapon to suffer no disadvantage and ignored cover, but cannot receive the damage bonus. As per Jeremy Crawford at the following link:
is it possible to add a proficency to throwing weapons as like a feat to add damge accuarcy and/or range

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. You can add proficiency for weapons which is increase accuracy.
There are no modifiers for increasing just the damage of thrown weapons or for increasing range.
Short answer: Technically yes
