I just got into DnD after many years of saying I wanted to join but never did. Also found a small group that accepts noobs lol. Either way, I am usually a support main on most of the games I play. I was creating a (Human) Cleric and noticed that if I wanted to choose another domain besides Light such as Trickery, War or even Tempest, I'd need to go to the marketplace and purchase. I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction as when I selected the marketplace, I was over-whelmed with digital books and not sure which book had the specified domain for the Cleric character I was building. I googled this and found that many answers state to just look at the marketplace. Again, I dont mind but theres a lot. If Im focusing on the Cleric and want to be able to choose another domain, is there a book that covers them all or are they separate? Or is there a Cleric bundle I can get instead?
Thanks everyone and again sorry for the noob questions.
when looking at the marketplace page you want to hit the (Sourcebooks) tab on the left menu. Most will come from the (Players Handbook) as you would expect. The Dungeon master's guide has Death domain... But that should get you started.

It can need a bit of detective work to find a sub-class you are after. If would be nice if the game rules for a class listed all the sub classes that you do not have access to along with the source book and possibly the flavour text to describe them.

The rest can be found in Xanathar’s Guide.
Order domain is in Guildmasters Guide to Ravnica.
You said support, was there a general theme you were looking for? Cleric has a great support base, but some subclasses add more. Were you thinking of being more of a ranged attacker when you weren't needed for support or more melee? Did you want heavy armor? More skills? More cantrips? There is one that has some wizard flavor to it, one that has some druid/ranger flavor it.
I was looking for a cleric with a mixed background. Someone always questioning their faith and making decisions on what they believe should be correct. (Which is why light domain doesn't really suit the character I made) This character is a main support healer but can be up close and mace to the face if needed.(possible soldier) Since i'm starting off still I didn't want to get too fancy. Just a Cleric with some healing abilities and maybe some questionable morals at times with a mace to the face if the enemy gets close.
I’d go for the War Domain in that case. I believe you could even purchase that subclass separately for a lower cost.
That is correct. After reviewing I believe the war domain is in another book for like 2 bucks. War domain is something I was looking into as well that gives me that edge where my life wasn't devoted to Light and moral choices are a bit different. (Getting excited to build a new cleric!)

Forge domain could also be a great option. The connection to smithing would be the constant while wondering what a simple Smith would be doing out wandering and adventuring could be that tension that you're looking for. Gets a +1 bonus to either armor or weapon that can be changed, can wear heavy armor... and smiths would have an idea about how to use the weapons well since they'd have to test the balance of the weapon.
War could be interesting if your character were more of a pacifist but is being forced to beat heads. Maybe the PC would have a temper (could have gone barbarian but didn't the way they felt when they lost it) and sought help from the temple... only to be called as a cleric ("Really! What were you thinking?!?")
Lots of area to explore in either concept. Tempest, nature, and life are others that I can think of off hand that would fit and all but forge are in the PHB.

Thank you so much everyone. I'll look into them both and of course the PHB as it has a lot for noobs like me.
Thanks again!

Yea for major noobs like myself, googling only gave me info on checking with the market place. Either way, all the reviewing and digging is helping.
Thanks again everyone. Thread can be closed.

Hope its not too much. Thanks.
