Yeah same, a subscriber and we have some homebrew stuff to cater for local house rules etc, and I don't seem to have been migrated yet ... hopefully soon.
Loved the tech talk! I'm a senior developer working toward architect and I found it fascinating.
As a subscriber still not on the new character sheet, I wonder if it's because I'm doing weird homebrew things that are essentially edge cases not yet covered by the new sheet. ;P
Probably. Same here. It seems the bulk of the glitches have been coming from interactions with homebrews. So I’m supposing that they are working out the kinks with the users who homebrew less, and then they’ll probably get to us heavy homebrewers later.
Another subscriber with homebrew content who hasn't been upgraded to the new character sheets yet here too. Hopefully they can get us all moved over soon!
Having access to the dice roller will really increase my use of D&D Beyond.
When is the Digi dice coming out. Is that part of the character battle app or DDB as a whole. I would sure like to use this option as part of multi-person Online play. So when we cast/share our pages we can see the total and dice rolled.

No ETA on when it will be released, but it will be on DDB as a whole. However, it will only work on the website at launch.
Man, I am still not on the new character sheet. I kinda feel left out...
I feel for you. Especially because I suspect that until they smooth out the kinks and get all the subscribers on the new sheet, all of us are going to have to wait for these nifty alpha features and improvements.
They've said that all subscribers will be on the dice alpha at launch.
Yeah. Subscribers are a big enough sample size to work out the kinks, and small enough sample size to manage the feedback. Plus, by having chosen to subscribe, it’s a fair bet that they are already happy enough with the services that DDB provides to give them money for it, so are probably also less likely to be horrible at them while they iron things out.
Is there a way to know or tell that my character sheets are using the new framework?
Yes! If you go to the Character Sheet and click the arrow next to it, then choose Preferences, the sidebar will pop up. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar. If you see a version number, you are on the new version.

You can also check when in the “edit character” section on the “home” tab all the way at the bottom under the public/private toggle. If there are numbers there, you’re on it, if it’s blank, not so much. They were trying it with almost all of the subscribers at one point, but had to dial it back a bit. The majority of the glitches they are testing/fixing come from interactions with homebrews. And when lots of homebrews are all interacting together it probably made it too difficult to sort out the interacting glitches.
They then limited it to the subscribers with the least amount of homebrews so they can sort things out piecemeal. Then they’ll do the rest of the subscribers with lots of Homebrew like me to sort out the interaction glitches. Once that’s done the non-subscribers will get the spiffied up version without the *headache. Depending on how much you use Homebrew, this might be a case where getting it later might be better.
*(If you have been keeping up with the Bugs & Support forum, then you will have noticed the recent flood of unusual issues that are getting reported. A lot of that is because of this.)
Yes, the Preferences sidebar all the way at the bottom. For those who don’t know, on the character sheet where it says “Edit Character” if you click the down carrot/arrow look at the dropdown, find “Preferences” with the cog symbol next to it. Clicking that will slideout the sidebar on the appropriate section and then just scroll to the bottom.
That's why I was asking how we would know, I'm a subscriber and the main part of this post says it is sending out invites. So to me, that sounds like it has been launched for alpha and some people have received invites, correct?

About the dice? Not yet to my knowledge. As I had understood it all subscribers would get the “invite,” I assume by email. The same way they launched the Combat Tracker Alpha. Then once we have play tested it so they could work out the kinks they would invite everybody else.

For whatever it's worth, the character sheet just went from 'alpha.56' to 'alpha.57'
Yeah. I know. I'm a nerd.

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?

How will people be able to tell if they have received an invite for the digital dice alpha?

How can you tell if your on the new sheets?
I asked the same question earlier in the thread:
You mean the sidebar?
