"I think I could probably nudge it along to happen this afternoon. I'm sure he knows you're here, though I'd kept our mutual employment quiet. Figure if you make a show of leaving, pas through town and the like taking your protection with you, that coupled with a sad note from my hand ought to have him chomping at the bit. If you all circle around to the caverns, you can leave your horses with the staff up there and slip back down. That's about as far as I figured, I'd leave the planning of how to take him out to you."

"No need for all of us to go. I mean, Shamy and me can hang around in the trees or the fields". He references their shared ability to change form into animals. "Might not be fightery types, but we sure can cause a ruckus." A grin forms across his face at the thought of the ruffians caught unaware by a pair of innocent looking sheep. "Might scare em off without a fight at all. They'll always be looking at the livestock wondering if any will turn into us." His enthusiasm for his plan clear on his face. But he knew better than to think his plan would be executed. His strategies usually failed, that's why he left that stuff to the others.
"Where will you host him? And how many goons do you expect?"Keller says. He also asks if the other merchant has an accurate reading of how many of the Foundry have been staying here. If he doesn't, he'll suggest some stay behind while the larger majority of the group makes a show of leaving. Then, while the rest of the crew returns quietly by way of the caverns, the few remainders can be in place, well-hidden, and observing.
He volunteers to stay behind, perhaps hidden in the wagon out front, or on a roof, and use his telepathic ability to stay in touch with others. "Cargo, or on the roost, and in your heads,"is the shorthand he uses verbally to explain this.
(EDIT: Also, do we get the sense he wants these thugs and the merchant killed, or wounded, or scared?)
"Ugh, first chopping wood, now scaring some village low lives. This job is really starting to bore me..."Bolt shows an ostentatious yawn. "but ok, seeing as it's you, Quickfinger, I'll cleave some skulls for you."She winks at Quickfinger. Then she grabs an apple, throws herself sideways over an armchair and chews loudly.
Keller's not certain what Quickfingers' end goal is. He'd kind of spoken in generalities, but there's a few shades of difference such statements could fall into.
"If it's that terribly boring for you, Blu-- Bolt, you could always blindfold yourself or something to make it more exciting! Though I weep for my grapevines if that's the case."

"Very well." Ethan says with a nod. "I'll take the majority of the soldiers with me, and we'll make a show of leaving. Some of us are not so great at sneaking about, so we'll just have to try to get back without being seen. The caverns should aid with that though." He glances to his men then to their host. "Now, do you want these men just driven off, or do you want them dead?" His tone is as calm as usual, as if talking about the weather, not the fate of living people.
"I'm thinking that driven off makes for an even angrier foe, with a grudge to scratch. I'd be more in favor of a long lasting solution, least for Vrin and his close flunkies. The crew of toughs.." he shrugs. "They're in it for the coin, can't say I've not taken coin a few times when I shouldn't have, but I've learned from my mistakes, maybe they can too..."

"Vrin and his flunkies, what do they look like?"Keller says. He will use minor illusion to create a small statue of Vrin based on Quickfingers' description. Then he'll listen to his feedback and cast it again to match it better. Then again. And again. Until he has a very good idea of what Vrin (and any flunkies their host can remember) look like.
He'll then cast it to show the others what their targets are.
"So Quickfingers, how many of us does the merchant think there are at this property? As in, would he know an exact number or just a guess like 5-10?"

Keller's able to produce a rough approximation of the weaselly fellow.
"Hard to say, though some of you rather stick out of a crowd. I'd wager that BB, Meta, Patter or Shamy might not be missed if the more... colorful folks were to ride through town, grumbling about how Old Tarsien ran out of money to pay you, and your done with him. Stables, do you stay blue when you take a different form? Don't recall if I've seen you... unless I have, and didn't know it. Anyway... couple stay behind in case Vrin moves quick, rest make a show of leaving, I 'cave' to his demands with my hired muscle departed, he comes to force me into it. Meanwhile, those of you that 'left' circle back to the cavern entrances in the foothills to the north, I'll have the staff let you in, and you can make your way to the cellars here? Do we spring it on him as soon as he gets here, or draw him all the way in, have him sitting in this very room before we start 'negotiations'?"

"Depends. You want this room pristine, or potentially roughed up?"Keller asks. He also tries to get a description of the thugs around Vrin that can be killed, to differentiate the ones who are local hired muscle and don't.
Quickfingers grins, "Probably not, you are... memorable."
Vrin's guards would all be wearing his colors, the hired muscle would be variously attired.
"I mean, I'd rather the building and vineyard remain standing... if you leave me dead in a smoking crater, I'd have been better off taking his offer! But... pitchers and wineglasses can be replaced, if a few get smashed, I'm not going to be upset."

"I'd prefer to hit them as they arrive, not risk your home." Ethan says with a glance around the room. "We cannot control the side effects of our gifts, and some times it can be quite spectacular." He looks to his squad leaders. "I will let the squads decide what is best though, as always, trusting them to find the best placement for themselves. I'll join which ever I feel I should be with."
"Courtyard it is. We'll hit them as they arrive. So the main group should hurry back, or they'll miss all the fun. Who's staying behind? Best find hiding places. Check in with me,"Keller says.
Assumption is that we pull the least noticeable, and most sneaky, people from the group to stay. Keller will extend his telepathic connection to Ethan, and then two others from the group who are staying to hide in plain sight. He can keep this up for 6 hours.
