Bryson continues to maintain his distance, but a barely perceptible smile begins to peek across his face as he watches the events unfold, Arjun's betrayal would leave an unfortunate hole in the group, and the soldier would be all too happy to fill that gap. However, for now, he needed to help the group survive this fight. Loading another bolt into his crossbow, Bryson fires at the hood standing next to Arjun before quickly stowing the crossbow back over his shoulder. Looking around, the warlock cursed quietly as he muttered telepathically, "Wherever you are... If you are any good in a fight, now would be the time to do something."
(OOC: As a note for the future, whenever Bryson makes an opportunity attack, he will instead cast Booming Blade (through the War Caster feat) so that the opponent takes an additional 1d8 of Thunder damage if they continue to move.)
(OOC: Thom is up, right? With Mara's feather fall, will he descend from the sky like a violent Mary Poppins?)

Mara's quills strike true, Arjun looking unsteady on his feet and well beaten by the combined barrage of the party.
Oberyosstrikes down, his blade covered with green fire, the flame licking the air and wrapping round Arjun's body as the strike lands true. A few tendrils of flame fly towards the other assailant.
Looking down and out, Arjun belies belief as he raises himself up and takes a swipe at Oberyos, then quickly brings the blade around and a surge of anger fuels a further attempt to disembowel the object of his frustrations. He takes a breath and looks somewhat healthier than moments before.
Attack: 24 Damage: 8 Attack: 20 Damage: 13
Bryson's bolt flies wide of the mark and you hear the sound of it hitting brickwork further up the darkened alley. Out of seemingly nowhere, at Bryson's command a devilish looking creature springs forth and makes an attack at the hooded man.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing Oberyos strike back against Arjun, Brandon turns his attention to the other thug standing next to him. Murmuring a prayer to the Soulforger, the head of his warhammer erupts in flame and he swings against the bandit.
Attack: 7 Damage: 7 plus 1 fire damage.
On a hit, the bandit is set on fire, and at the start of each of their next turns must makes a CON 13 save or take an additional 1 fire damage.

Brandon's hammer flares white acting as a beacon in the dim light of the alleyway. The swing misses it's intended target as the man reads the attack and dodges easily, the air almost sizzles with heat as the hammer passes bay. He launches a series of counter attacks at Brandon:
The thug on the roof attempts to stop down on Thom as he mounts the roof but is caught off guard as Thom leaps off the top crate catching the roof. Not in front of the thug though, but a clear distance to the side, and the experienced guard uses the sideways momentum to swing his legs up and roll onto the roof a safe distance from the edge before coming up into a defensive crouch. Realising he is now in a position of disadvantage, the thug makes two quick slashes at Thom as he circles himself away from the roofs edge:
Attack: 10 Damage: 4 Attack: 9 Damage: 9
The final member of the ambush party appears from his hiding place, with the calamity of the melee in front of him he levels his crossbow at the small target some ways down the alley and looses a bolt at Mara, before ducking back behind the crates.
Attack: 17 Damage: 6
The melee by the crates continues with everyone locked in a muddled mess of combatant bodies, the interplay and exchange of blows make it hazardous to risk ranged attacks into the fray as there are no clear lines between the sides.
Thom and one thug are now more than 5ft past the edge of the roof so out of sight for those below.
Anyone in the melee (Bryson, Oberyos and Brandon) can make a DC 12 perception check at disadvantage to read the following - no passives in this instance:
From behind the crates the sound of a crossbow being dropped and steel sliding from a scabbard can be heard.
After Mara finishes her turn, Oberyos will cast Green-Flame Blade, and swing at Arjun again. If he is able to hit Arjun with the sword, then the hood standing next to him will take 3 flame damage. (If Arjun is reduced to 0 HP, he will be knocked out instead of slain.)

Mara's lip curls as Arjun took hit after hit with showing little sign of stopping. As Oberyos seemed to have the turncoat well in hand, her attention turned to Thom and then Brandon, evaluating which one might need more help. Just as she saw the dwarf take one hit too many and was reaching out a hand to cast, there was a crossbow bolt suddenly sticking out of her upper right arm. The hit causing her to briefly cry out in surprise at the sharp pain before biting down on her lip to quiet herself. Even as her eyes tried to look towards the general direction she thought the bolt came from, she saw nothing. With her left hand holding pressure around the bolt in her arm and her right hand raising up, Mara formed her fingers in the somatic gestures, while muttering under her breath to form Maximilian’s Earthen Grasp. A hand the size of Thom forming from the ground under the adversary Brandon was fighting to grasp at the figure.
(Need Enemey #...whichever one is attacking Brandon, to roll a DC 12 strength saving throw or take: 4 Bludgeoning Damage, half as much on success.)

(OOC: It looks like the initial save is all or nothing for the damage. But a failed save also means restrained. It is later rounds, squeezing a restrained foe, that does full-or-half damage.)

Seeing the hand reach up to grab the thug attacking Brandon, Bryson quickly draws his spear and closes in on the (hopefully) restrained man. He then launches into an attack that attempts to immobilize him with explosive energy. "I wouldn't move if I were you." Mentally he commands his familiar, "Again."
