It's the first day of term at Strixhaven. As you walk through the row of archways that leads towards the Biblioplex at the heart of campus, you notice several other students heading in the same direction. Perhaps this is their first day, too?
*OOC: Take this time to introduce your characters and get to know one another. After everyone's ready, we'll discuss optional rules and have a Session Zero.*

All stars fade. Amber has long light brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. She’s 17 and originally from a distant world called Mystara. She’s kinda shy but still friendly once people talk to her. She’s wearing whatever students wear for casual clothing at Strixhaven.
The blue skinned woman floats more than she walks, she is so light on her feet. Her movements flow, her long blue hair wafting in a nonexistent breeze. She is hard to miss. She's dressed in the school uniform, and as you watch, she grimaces and pulls at the hem of the jacket, squirming like it's all just too starchy and confining."Ugh!"she exclaims to nobody in particular. Then she looks up, piercing blue eyes finding Amber. "Oh! Yeah," she gives a big grin, smoothing her jacket. "Hey. Really uncomfortable, right? I'm Noelani, but my family calls me No, but we spell it with an 'e' on the end, at least in Vedalken, so it comes out more like... Nooooo-eeeee, like they were trying to stop me from doing something and I did it anyway and then they kind of exploded inside with a little eeeee..." she trails off, still smiling and making eye contact. "We're going to be friends. What's your name?"

A black-haired girl in her late teens openly gawks as she walks towards the Biblioplex. Slim and short-haired, she doesn’t stand out in the crowd. She steps to the side of the path a takes a few breaths to steady herself. Slung across her shoulders is a well-used leather satchel with a small, yellow rat plushie tied to it. The girl’s hand gives the toy a short squeeze.
”We got this, Butterscotch. We got this. Tulli’s gonna shine here,” she says. The toy offers no reply.
Bryella skips her way towards the Biblioplex singing a random song that to anyone is listening is way off key. She enjoys seeing all the new faces as she approaches. She’s a dwarf, a bit on the small side with fiery red hair worn in a neat plat. That is about the only thing neat on her as her clothes and pack are a bit a mess while she makes her way through campus. She’s never been in a place like this and her eyes grow wide as she takes it all in.

Amber smiles at Noe. “Hey! I’m Amber. Amber d’Ambreville. I just got here too. What do you think of it so far? Besides the uniforms I mean.” She laughs and tosses her hair.

Amber smiles at Tulli and Bryella too. You can tell she’s a little nervous on her first day, but she seems pretty calm, like maybe she’s been in a setting like this before.
Noe's eyes track Amber's hairflip. Then she is distracted by the singing girl skipping past. She pivots to watch her go, nearly running into Tulli. "Ah! Hey, hi." She gathers herself gracefully, while looking apologetic, taking in the newcomer and her yellow rat. "This is Amber. I'm Noe, like No but with an e on the end. Cute," she says, and then is immediately uncomfortable. "The rat! Cute rat. Not a rat, a much loved plaything. Not a plaything! A keepsake. Cute keepsake. This is Amber," she ends in a rush, pointing directly at Amber.

Tulli’s eyes light up at someone taking note of her toy. “Hi! Yeah, that’s Butterscotch. He’s super cute and doesn’t smell like old celery anymore. I made sure to get the smell out before I came here. I was just used to it. Oh, I’m Tulli. Tulli Murk! I’m the Destroying Angel! Nice to meet you!”
She then looks to Amber and waves back. “Oh, nice to meet you too! Um…’sup fellow student? Is…that’s what people say in the cities, right?”
Noe just stares, cocking her head as Tulli's introduction gets weirder and weirder. Then she just nods decisively. "You need me as your friend. I'm taking that position. Let's start with Butterscotch, and telling people nothing about how he used to smell. Actually, you might lead with the Destroying Angel part, because that's pretty badass."

Tulli blinked. Making her first friend at Strixhaven had been easier than anticipated.
”Uh, yeah, I guess you have a point about the celery smell. I’m…not good at social stuff. So, yeah, let’s be homogeneous…homeopathic…homies? I, uh, never went to school before. Mother taught me most everything I know.
”But I’m glad you like the name! Destroying Angel is my favorite mushroom. Not to eat because it’s super poisonous. But that’s what makes it cool! And if I’m going to be a famous druid one day I need to be…propionate…profligate…proactive! Otherwise who knows what kind of nickname I could get stuck with!”

"I'm not much for herb-lore, but I'm fairly sure that's a type of toadstool," says a tenor voice behind you. A glance reveals the speaker to be a clean-shaven red-skinned tiefling young man with dark hair, and brassy eyes. His clothes are dark and look to be well made, and he has a lute and a bodhran connected to his pack. "I'm Rhydian by the way; you're Tulli & Butterscotch, and that's Amber. I'm afraid I didn't get the name of the tuneful skipper, and you my lovely blue friend, are the Slayer of Sang-Froid."
Tulli blinked again. This was certainly a day for meeting people. A tiefling no less. Such people only occasionally passed through her home area. How interesting!
”Not to be a known-it-all, but academically there’s no difference between a toadstool and a mushroom. In common speech, however, the former is used to mean poisonous mushrooms and the latter edible ones. So you’re half right.
“But, yeah, nice to meet you, Rhydian!”
Tulli then glanced back at Noa. [You’re an air Gensai, right?] she said in Primordial.
Noe startles at the newcomer, then again at being addressed in the wind voice by Tulli. [I am, yes, but also Vedalken raised, so really none of the above, to be honest,] she replies in the same, though her accent is pretty stilted. She returns her attention to Rhydian, and her eyes narrow suspiciously. "And you, my lovely, are barking up the wrong tree. I think. Honestly, I just don't know anymore."
"What classes do you all have?"

"'Chill' is good, right? I'm pretty sure it's good," Tulli thought as she gave Amber a nod. "I'm in that auras class too. We can sit together if you want. I'm also taking Arcano-botany for Beginners."
Her eyes flicked to Noe. What was a Vedalken? Where the two them from different worlds? That certainly was possible at a place like Strixhaven. And "Slayer of Sang-Froid?" What in Mielikki's name did that mean? Was the teifling in error or was something more going on? It was too soon to judge.
Tulli was suddenly glad she'd headed her mentor's advice to bring her weapon and armor to the school. Caution presaged longevity.
“Acro-botany for beginners? I’m in that class too!” And the dwarf that’s been singing in earshot range comes over and joins the group. “Name is Bryella. Isn’t this place cool? Man all the masonry work that went into building these structures…” And she trails off a bit. Then looks back, “What other classes you so taking? Excited to be here? I sure am!”

“Hey.” Amber waves to Tulli.

Amber smiles at everyone and answers “Basic Magical Auras and History of Magic and Art. What about you guys?”
She flashes Tulli a quick grin. “Don’t worry girl. You’re chill.”
"'Chill' is good, right? I'm pretty sure it's good," Tulli thought as she gave Amber a nod. "I'm in that auras class too. We can sit together if you want. I'm also taking Arcano-botany for Beginners."
