Garmuk - I see where you go with this...I'm not so good at the noggin work either...Boss need to think... Boss need de wisdom... I see de Honey Bear has both, yes? Will you be the Boss of us? Thredak looks at the bear in earnest...
"I would be happy to lead as best I can. Thank you for your confidence." He looks for others that have taken an interest in investigating the goblin wagon/fortress and invites them to come along.
Ursa tells the merchant they will investigate.
"Is everyone ready to go to check out the wagon?" When ready, we set out.
Soren continues petting the old tavern dog lying by the fire languidly, but his mind is uncertain, wavering on whether to join the group. SeeingUrsa, however, his eyes light up.
Truly a bearfolk among us... wondrous... I had not expected... and the rest of the group looks strong and versatile enough as well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Standing and shouldering his pack, he says simply: "My name is Soren Thornpaw. I too will follow Ursa, if you'll have me."
He murmurs to himself quietly, calling on nature spirits to give him Guidance as needed on the trek back up the road to find the spot and notice hazards or threats on the way.
Gathering your equipment you set off in the direction of the wagon/fortress. After a couple of hours you arrive at the location.
A large wooden wagon has been overturned a few feet from the road. An incomplete moat rings the structure; the vapors from its gelatinous contents reach your nose even at fifty paces. The wagon has been reinforced with broken shields and scavenged planks; an unfortunate fox has been nailed unceremoniously atop a crude doorway. Slits and holes of various sizes have been bored and carved into the walls, and you hear whispering and rustling coming from within. A flag made from cloth scraps hangs unmoving in the still air.

Giving himself Guidance from nature spirits and feeling his soul wounded by the fate of the fox nailed to the door, Soren takes cover and attempts to perceive whether there is an easier ways in (e.g. through an incomplete part of the moat) and/or whether any part of this strange structure is an illusion:
More out of curiosity than from any desire to actually face goblins, Brix gathers up his gear and tags along after the party. Brix arrives just as Soren takes cover near the roadside. He's a little out of breath from having to take two steps vs the larger members one but full of anticipation over what's about to transpire. The thought that maybe he's in a little over his head here has him considering turning back,, but looking about he sees that the rest look more than capable of handling the threat. Or at least he hopes so. He turns around and is about to start back but the thought that it was basically his suggestion shames him a bit. So instead of retreating he stands a little straighter and decides to stay and offer what ever assistance may be needed.
