Doc greets those that greet him, and takes the bottle from Nix. He moves to a table/desk and takes out his herbalism kit.
He first tests if the icor contains any disease or poison (casting detect poison and disease). If that is not the case he will smell it to see if he can identify what it is, before using some of the equipment that's in the kit to check the consistency of the icor, and maybe see how it reacts with water and other common herbs. Doing everything he can, but not spending so much time that all daylight will be gone.

Lancelin shrugs and follows Nix and the other's back to the Warden's hall. While inside he quietly studies the other Sun Wardens, accepting the handshake from Giles and offering the half-orc a friendly smile. He then finds a seat and waits for Doc to perform his investigation of the ichor.
Mina is glad there are more in the Hall when they arrive back there, glad to see it is a more lively place than she had originally thought. As they greet Giles, she returns his warm smile and makes note of this one. But when he gives Nix and Doc the bottle of icor, she asks "You say this is not like other disappearances. Is this the only disappearance where anything was found? Or not?"
Doc analyzes the ichor he doesn't sense poison or disease. He can make a medicine check if he wants to study it further.
Nix waits with the other as Doc researches the ichor. When Mina speaks however it's Giles who answers.
"Yes," Giles replies. "Anders," the half-orc frowns as he pauses mentioning his friend, "he was heard," the cleric explains. "He had watched on the Sun Lodge overnight like all the Wardens but Wycombe and his scholars were burning both ends of the candle researching the disappearances when he was taken," he adds as Nix frowns. "In other words, he's the only one who managed to put up a fight," he adds, tapping his nose.
"I was meant for that watch but I was waylaid in the swamps with the rangers searching for the fog's origins," Nix explains. "He took my place," she adds her head hanging low. "Anders was like me in many ways. Something we only made it on the Wardens because of our family ties," she adds. "But he..." she frowns and sighs.
"Was the best of us," a human woman calls out coming up to the party with a soft smile. This human has dark skin, hair in tight braids, and stands in armor with a helmet tucked under her arm. "Grady Keller," she adds offering her hand for others to shake while giving Doc a curious smile. "You've got quite a troop here Nixie," Grady says smiling at everyone.
Ty then enters with a pop and a dramatic flare of flame. The pixie flies around the group before resting on Giles's shoulder.
"Ah, your highness nice to see you're still protecting our friend here," Giles says as the pixie gives him a curt nod.
"No luck finding the Fey Realm yet," Grady retorts teasing Ty who blows silent raspberries at the Warden before leaning in and whispering into Giles's ear.
OOC: Anyone wanting to ask questions, investigate the ichor, or anything else just let me know!
Mae was about to lean over to Doc to assist with a further examination, when her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Giles speaking with Nix. "Oh dear, that must weigh heavy on you. Even more reason to get to the bottom of this." She turns her attention to yet another newcomer. "Good evening, Ms Keller, I am Maevla, but everyone calls me Mae." She held out her hand to greet the woman. "I see you know Nix and her companion? Your highness?"She looks between the darker woman, Nix and the pixie. "Yes we're supposed to be helping with the investigation into the disappearances. Would you know anything else that could help us, Ms Keller?"

Doc is taken aback when he realizes the ichor is some sort o viscera! It's the blood and decay of something fiendish in nature.
"I was backing up Nix and the rangers when it happened," Grady replies frowning. "I plan on backing you all up too but I'm no sleuth," she replies to Mae with a board smile eyeing the bard without much subtlety.
Having been sitting watching Doc messing with the vial, Kerri stands when Grady comes in and is introduced. She gladly shakes her hand when it is offered, simply inclining her head in silence to her. She then watches the conversation between her and Mae. She then nudges Lancelin making a series of hand signs.
Lancelin watches in silence as Doc starts examining the ichor, waiting for him to share any findings with the others. As the dark-skinned armored woman joins them he quickly stands and gives her a firm handshake and a friendly smile. "Lancelin Silverward at your service, and this is Kerri Dunstrom." He says, inclining his head towards his travelling companion. He listens to Mae and then turns to watch Kerri as she nudges him, then turning to Nix again. "Is it possible to get that map now Ms. Nyhus, it could be helpful to our investigations I believe."
After first making sure the icor doesnt contain any disease or poison; Doc begins to examine it more closely. his face suddenly shows some disturbance.
"I believe, yeah pretty sure, can't only be. It looks like this is the blood and decay of a fiendish creature. Must have been from the one that attacked the Warden."
All the rest goes past Doc while he is focussing.

"Glad to meet you all," Grady replies smiling at everyone.
Doc makes his remarks.
"Fiend?" Giles exclaims peering at the substance with furrowed eyebrows as he looks at the other Wardens.
All the Wardens look at one another with horrified expressions.
"What...could it possibly be...." Nix says looking at Doc with a gapping mouth. Lancelin's question about the map draws Nix's attention. "Yes, yes of course, " she replies motioning to a hanging map of town near Giles's cabinet of curiosities. "Someone could copy it," she adds.
OOC: map posted above is the map with the main features of town mentioned numbered.
"I don't know much about fiends, but if it is a fiend that is taking the people of Drynna It is likely that it was summoned by someone to do it's bidding. We would need a list of the known victims and details about what connections and influence they each had. It would be helpful if we're to find who is behind this I believe." Lancelin says to Nix, nodding as she shows him the map of Drynna. "Is it possible to determine what kind of fiend we're talking about Doc?" He says, turning to the Warforged.
Mae flashes a winning smile back at Grady. "Oh I'm sure we could use all the help we can get! Between you and Nix I'm sure we can get a good fix on what is going on here!" She stopped and looked at Kerri when she had a moment and pointed to the map and then at Kerri, still smiling warmly. If allowed, Mae will taken a piece of parchment (it needn't be very big) and begin drawing a very crude copy of the town map. (She isn't going for details, just a few important places and roads). She looks up from her work though as the fiend is mentioned. "Fiends?" She shuddered a bit and pulled her cloak around her again. "What do they want with mortal souls..."
At first Mina thinks its a waste of time to look at blood found at the scene, blood is blood isn't it? But after all the introductions and the realization that it involves fiends, she realizes this could be a key piece of information.
"Lancelin, how do you know that someone summons a fiend to do their bidding? Do they need to be nearby or can they do such deeds from a far off distance? But yes, good idea to maybe map out all those that have disappeared and any connections that can be made?"
"Well, I just said it was likely summoned, it is the way they usually enter our world. Let's just say I know a little bit of everything" Lancelin says smiling to Mina. "I'm not at all sure about this but I suspect you would need to be present at the summoning site, so either someone is summoning this fiend each night in the marsh, or perhaps more likely summoned it once for prolonged bidding, ordering it to hide in the marsh in daytime. But this is all pure speculation of course."He says with a shrug.
When Mae points to the map and then her, Kerri gives the woman an affirmative nod. She starts to go through her pack and pulls out a bundle of half-page parchment sheets stitched together as a kind of notebook. It looks mostly empty, although there seems to be something drawn on a couple of pages. She tries to keep it out of sight, flipping quickly to the back and just ripping out a single page. She comes over with the paper and a charcoal pencil. Rather than hand them to Mae, she motions with the hand holding the pencil towards herself, then pantomimes writing with it while look towards the map.
Kerri would hand over the items to Mae if she insists, but otherwise she does her best to make a rough copy of the map onto the paper.
OOC: Going to need some skill checks for the cartography and the knowledge shared by PCs. Remember player knowledge vs. character knowledge, metagaming is not something I allow.
Mae/Kerri individual rolls or one can give the other the aid action, describing their aid in detail, to give the other advantage on a survival check to copy the map regardless of how accurately you intend.
"You assume quite a lot Silverward," Giles replies his hand on his holy symbol with a frown. "As for a list of names we have it but I would request my copy stay in my possession with you making your own from it," Giles explains.
"Yes, of course, " Nix replies to Giles. "So, back up? Grady are you..." she trails off as Grady turns her board smile to Nix.
"On watch? Yes," Grady replies. "Wycombe and his scholars are still pouring over the tomes in the Lodge. You might want to explain your companions revelations though. Fiend as well as someone here summoning one eh," the dark skin woman says her expression full of surprise looking curiously at Lancelin. "All of this is certainly news to me," she adds giving everyone a curt nod before donning her helmet and leaving with a squad of three other Wardens in red cloaks.
"Curious Lancelin. How do you know so much about this," Nix asks awaiting a reply.
Mae doesn't take the items from Kerri, just smiles at her and points to the paper again and mouths to her, "I'll help." (Mae will assist Kerri with the help action, she just needs to tell or show Mae what she needs her to do.)
