Deragor gets up without a word at the sound of the reveille, gets his stuff then goes to the mess hall to grab some grub. [I hope this military lifestyle will end soon. I want to go back to the wild to hunt some goblins.] - thinks to himself - [And… I miss the comfort of the Black Mass. I don't want to show off in front of everyone here in town.]
Audun gets out of bed and grabs his gear. Taking some time to get ready and making sure all of his gear is in order he heads to the mess hall. Although not military, his experience as a mercenary has made him accustomed to this lifestyle. He sits by as many of his companions as he can to pick up on the best stories and gossip. He hurriedly eats his food so he can give his full attention to the Sergeant and quartermaster.
Soot joyously skips into into the mess hall as he can smell the breakfast burritos from a mile away. Grabbing a plate Soot loads 4 tortillas filled with bacon egg and cheese. The oddly happy rogue sits on the far edge of Auduns group and begins eating his burritos with great delight.
Rolling out of his bunk, having been awake for a while now, Vlar straps on his new studded leather, and then slips his rapier and longbow into therir palces on his body. Once ready he gives the others a narrow-eyed look before he strides out. He moves to the mess hall for a quick meal, before arriving at the designated meeting place.
Prim gets as much as she thinks will fill her & eats quickly but neatly then goes ti to the meeting place. If anyone asks, she tells the story of the earlier strike against the hobgoblin warlord.
Bolin notices everyone heading to the mess hall follows the group in enjoys some eggs meats and bread before whipping the leftovers from his beard and heads out to the meeting spot
Sergeant Knox waits for everyone to arrive at the East Gate. Once there, he informs you that you will be following Skorli and Prim to the abandoned siege camp of the goblinoid army. You are to search the command tent for any sign or clue as to the whereabouts of the Master Goblin Orb. "Also," he warns you all, "although the camp may be abandoned, do not be surprised if you run into some goblins or hobgoblins."
Although the silence of the others in the mess hall was disappointing Audun heads out to the east gate and listens to sergeant Knox. Audun is ready to travel and packed relatively light. He stands near the front of the group, behind Prim. “Sir, will the siege camp still have leftover weapons and supplies?” He asks after Knox is done speaking.
The burly bugbear listens with undisguised impatience as the officer explains the mission. He lets out a growl of eager anticipation at the mention that they may run into goblins or hobgoblins on this mission.
As soot leaves the mess hall for the gate he grabs as many breakfast burritos as possible. (Do I need to roll for how many rations I find) once arriving at the gate the dwarves eyes light up at the mention of the orb. As talk of goblins and hobgoblins begins so does that pesky little voice “goblin blood always looks better on the hands of a rogue.”
Prim waits for sergeant Knox to say more and when he doesn't she says: "When we left the goblin camp, about a quarter of the tents in camp were on fire and the Hobgoblin Chiefs in the center tent were dead. So I'm guessing the different factions separated, but there might still be some scavengers in camp. On the way there the first time we met Goblin, hobgoblin and bugbear Scouts so be on your toes."
And heads down the path toward the camp, looking for ambushes (trees above, bushes to the side, etc. )
After several hours trekking through the verdant hills of Frelia, you make your way to a rise overlooking the siege camp. As Prim has described, much of the camp has been burnt down, especially in the outer part of the southwest quadrant. A large group of goblins and hobgoblins appears to be picking through the ashes. A large black flag with a white, demonic-looking face on it flies over the large command tent in the center of the camp. To the north and east are a couple of mounds of corpses and pits which could only be mass graves. The whole landscape is a hellish sight. The stench of fiery death drifts on the wind.
19, rolled on cha sheet. (She's wearing the drab/camo cloth armor from last time & I'd mentioned she was wearing a camo hat. She tries to keep her umbrella on her side away from the camp to obscure it.)
Vlar grins in anticipation as he spots the goblins and hobgoblins sifting through the camp's remains. He looks to his new traveling associates and raises an eyebrow. "Attack now?" He asks.
Deragor didn't think they would make it this far without incident. He was almost certain they would stumble upon a patrolling goblin party or a goblin trap. The fact that it turned out this way made the elf who was familiar with the goblin fighting style think. Maybe they don't count on us at all. Let's just say the fact is the fact. Troops are stationed here and they have to fight their way through them somehow. One way or the other.
(sorry for the posting delay, folks! I'm travelling in the UK right now)
Wicker sidles up to Prim. As much as she tries to hide it, the halfling is feeling anxious... the grass around her begins to sway, as if buffeted by a breeze.

Prim sighs. There goes her shower. She gets ready as fast as she can and heads down to the mess hall.
