As the head outside, Aryniel curses herself for doubting her instincts for the sake of the city-dwellers around, "Fire!" she shouts, and sets out through the most direct route to the nearest windows, "Blades out, pups!" she shouts to the others in the tavern, and not at all like a deft swashbuckler and more like an out of place hunting beast barging over furniture and patrons to reach her goal. She steps out of the place, sniffs the wind and eyes the horizon seeking the source.
Ramia feels her heart leap into her throat as the sound of thunder rattles the inn, nearly scaring her out of the chair. The second blast hits, and she feels a mixture of dread and confusion. Something was wrong...But not what she was expecting? Cautiously, she follows Adem out the front of the inn, clutching the steel band at her wrist.
Environment: The tavern itself sits on the northeast corner of a sort of cobbled "square." On the opposite corner is a large storehouse that is currently ablaze. To the west and south are residential buildings. The square itself is about 40 feet across, but the roads narrow to about 20 feet. You also see the orange glow of flames in almost all directions, along the outskirts of the town. The sun is 3/4 below the horizon at this point
he also tries to assess how defensible the inn might be...
The Tavern: One of the larger wooden structures in the town, it's about 120x40 ft with a second story. Both floors have windows about every 20 feet along the length and 10 feet along the width. There is a door on the south side and one on the west side.
The others begin to emerge from the tavern, while Alkyn tries to flagged down anyone, though none seem to be near enough to notice him in all of the madness. Most townsfolk are fleeing east as best they can, towards the looming walls of the keep. All around you, screaming and shouting fills the air. Raiders armed with scimitars, daggers, shields, and torches wreak havoc on the town and it's people.
Amidst the chaos, you notice across the street to the south, a man holding the doorway to his home with a garden hoe, swinging it wildly at a group of attackers trying to force their way in.
Looking along the skyline, Aryniel would see an ominous blue winged creature in the darkening sky to the north. A thunderous boom splits the air as it lets out a lightning blast on the frightened townsfolk below it. The dragon lets out a roar.
Frustrated by his lack of success, Alkyn glances around at the chaos one last time then turns to his companions in the doorway. "No idea what's going on, but he might," he says, pointing at the valiant hoe-wielder.
As he speaks he moves to get a clear line of sight on the leader of those accosting the man, draws his arm back and releases an arrow at them.
Attack: 19 Damage: 7 (advantage roll in case he counts as being unseen: 11; have put sneak attack in damage since they have an enemy within 5')
Color coding matches forum colors for the most part. Attackers have red borders. Blue attackers are armed with longswords and shields, wearing chainshirts. Green attackers have leather armor, wielding curved blades.
None of the attackers look like they're particularly in charge, so bereft a better option, Alkyn targets the man directly confronting the townsman in the doorway. The arrow catches him in the back and he released a pained cry.
There is a brief moment of confusion before the others all spin around towards the direction the arrow came from, spotting the ragtag group coming out of the tavern. Their hands tighten around their weapons as they look to advance on you...
Initiative goes to Ramia, then Sariel. As a reminder for Sariel, you'll have an opportunity to move your character somewhere out of the inn before taking your initiative turn.
For Alkyn, there isn't a whole lot in the way of cover outside the inn, and he's nowhere near a corner of the building.

The half-elf's eyes go wide as she exits the tavern behind Adem, stepping off to the side. She'd fled such scenes before. Homes burning to the ground, death around her. But never in a place this populated. And this wasn't the work of what she was running from. These were...People. Anxiety is replaced with anger. She moves into the road(20 ft south) and the crystal inset on her wristband glows as she brings her hand up, a fire bolt flaring to life to streak across the road towards the man with an arrow in his back.
While Sariel joins the fray, the bolt of fire magic launched by Ramia goes wide, splashing against the doorframe next to the raider's face. One of the men in leather armor dashes across the street to her, raising his scimitar in preparation for an attack.
Meanwhile, the raider already struck by Alkyn grunts in pain, swinging his longsword and pushing forward towards the defending the doorway to his home.

Aryniel nocks one arrow, takes aim briefly and lets it loose against the advancing enemy in the middle of the road. The elf shouts to the others "Don't let them spread the fire!" and tries to take a measure of the attackers, trying to deduce what would be their goal here.
The arrow quickly finds its target, piercing the man in the chest through his armor, he looks severely hurt, but still looks ready to continue his attack. Another of the raider breaks off from the group, advancing on Aryniel with their shield raised high(they are taking the Dodge action, attack rolls against them have disadvantage).

Alkyn focuses once more on the raider who attacked the villiager, he then moves back inside the inn to gain some cover and, after a glance at his mug still resting on the table, peers out from behind the door. "Meet me in Greenest, she said. It's a quiet little backwater, she said".
Attack: 13 Damage: 13 (sneak attack since raider is near the villiager)
Alkyn's arrow misses the mark this time, slamming into the wood planking of the house's wall. The third longsword wielding foe break's away from the house's entrance, raising their shield as the other had while they advance on the party(they are taking the Dodgeaction).

The quarterstaff whirls in Adem's hands as he strides forward, using both hands to swing it in a vicious upward arc to strike Ramia's attacker with the iron tip at the end.

Alkyn waves to one of the panicked citizens, looking around, trying to assess the situation. "What in the nine-hells is going on?"
While he waits for an answer, or tries another citizen, he also tries to assess how defensible the inn might be...

Wave of panic ensues outside of the tavern. I rush to the entrance putting my viol away and readying my short bow.
I'll Dash to the entrance and follow Aryniel. I start to think to myself, "Milil give me strength.
