For long ages the Elves of Celador defended their domain vigorously. While many races lived under the supremacy of the elves, the incursion from the outside was violently discouraged. Then, 200 years ago, unbidden, the Elves retracted their defenses, and allowed settlements at the edge of the woods. while their core territories are still guarded, many new cultures have expanded into the area. Our campaign will begin in Daven's Falls, a logging, hunting and portaging community at the base of a moderate waterfall. It lies not too far from the edge of the forest, but is certainly far enough in that the elves of old would not let it exist. Largely settled by humans, with a smattering of other races, it boasts a reputation as a bustling village on the rise, a local trade hub and a self-reliant populace. You have been called to the Sinking Castle tavern to meet with Undermayor Harbin, who you've heard might have a problem in need of your skills.
Hi, I’m looking to start a homebrew 5e campaign.I’d like to recruit 4 players. Not characters, mind you, but players.I’d like to build the party organically, in like a session zero thread. It will be 1st level, in a humanocentric world, with PH races being next populated, Elves and Dwarves emphasized.I’m not limiting character creation but other races are just more rare.
Looking to run it on the forums. Daily posting roughly, with my main updates at 8-9 AM EST.
Please post a little about what you are looking for in a game and what you bring as a player.New players are not discouraged.I’m looking for a blend between a serious story, a combat game and silliness.
I’ll likely make my decision next Monday, pming the chosen players.Oh, let me know if you want to be an alternate if not chosen.
I'd Like to Join! What I'm looking for is Action, Suspense, And Lots of RP! What I could bring to the table is Role-Play, And Assassinations!

I am a long-time player of D&D, going back to the early 80s even. I am a storyteller, though I look a good combat/action game. I like to interact with my fellow players, and have fun!
Hello, I'm looking for a game with a bit of everything. I love the storytelling elements but also action and fun. I like to have a really fleshed out character, and I enjoy PbP games because it gives a chance to really consider the next move for the character. I like to think I'm a good writer, so I can bring to the game a good sense of my character's voice, detailed descriptions and some out of the box thinking.
Personally, I'm what you might call a jack of all trades. I really love playing interesting characters (examples include a oath of vengeance paladin born into corrupt line of knights, seeking to destroy his family and purge the world of darkness. it's a lawful NEUTRAL PALADIN!) and I do well in hack and slash, as well as intrigue. I like to think that I'm competent at RP, and I have had some experience DMing campaigns.
I'm pretty sure I was in this game once before lol
I hope you're in a good place to keep it going and that you take a break if you need one. It was neat.
I'd love to play again, but I understand if you'd like to go with new folks.
I liked that there were plenty of npcs to interact with but that it wasn't overwhelming with character names etc. We split, but not for long.
I would like to play a character where I'm allowed to drift into the background or up into the lead in ways that are organic. I don't really want to deal with player conflict. Good guys are good guys and bad guys are bad guys (mostly). I'd like to introduce some backstory of my own that's relevant to the story, but I like setting up the basics and letting the DM make it theirs so that I'm surprised by it and it's not shoehorned in or a chore.
I'm happy with social stuff, and I like talking to npcs to learn stuff. I enjoy lore. I don't enjoy buckets of intrigue. Twists that are sparing, instead of around every corner.
And I'd like a horse. Lol, I know that sounds stupid, but I think it could be fun to have a game where the horse lives lol
I'm looking for a game where the interactions between characters feels organic, and lively. Enjoy being able to come up with creative uses for spells, or abilities.
As for what I bring; I'm often someone that does my best to help my party, regardless of class. I think that the most fun comes from the cooperative elements, and while big moments for each person are important and awesome when you see a thread from your past is being pulled, the journey there is just as important.
I'm a pretty solid candidate as are these awesome people who beat me here. Love the idea of players instead of characters. I love being a player, but i seem to be the DM most the time for friend groups that fizzle after they cant make it a few times. Played with large and small groups and fiddled around with many different things with the help of the bdadly coliseum on here and many other pbp games. Been playing since 2016, still getting used to some of the action inserts within text so it may look messy at times but can fill most roles!
I can say im a night owl and work weekends with times to respond within a few hours. I do have extra content + sharing.
Could be an alternative if not chosen, or even a wild shop keeper if need be for npc help!
Hi there, I started out playing 3E 24 years ago, and then moved into 3.5 and then Pathfinder. Only started playing 5E and PbP last year but I am loving it. I have done a healthy mix of DMing and playing and enjoy a healthy mix of RPing and combat within a game. I am on East Coast time and am more active between 9am and 5pm as I generally post while at work. I can promise posting at least once a day during the week, but unless things sure super busy am usually able to post more than that. Weekends are a bit more up in the air for me. Please let me know if you need to know anything else.
Hey. I would be interested. I’m fairly new to PbP but kinda experienced with 5E, and I enjoy it quite a bit. I’m pretty good at hack-and-slash stuff, but not so much at the roleplaying. I’m getting better though!

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
I'd like to join! I am generally available between 7 am to 10 pm est. I love a good Balance of RP and Combat! I also like it when DM's include a characters Backstory in their games! I enjoy PbP games because I can look at it whenever I want without worrying about my schedule getting in the way! I've been a player for a couple years now, and I want to keep it up and Continue
I'd like to play. I've got a lot of experience as a player and a DM. I like role-play, puzzles, silliness, chaos, doing good, proportional consequences, dumb jokes, finding unexpected solutions, overcoming long odds, and long walks on the beach. I'd like to be in a game where everyone likes each other and gives each other space to breath and grow.
I also would love to join, I look for group cohesion and character growth. I'm a fan of making character appropriate decisions, even when they aren't optimal and generally like RP more than combat, bit a little action isn't bad.
I've been playing D&D for over 25 years and am adaptable to most tables and situations
Hello! I am a new again player, playing a few games a couple of decades ago and learning the ropes again. I am a cricitial-thinker-player using all my skills for group advantage. Expect some mentoring on your part and a lively engaging demeanor on mine. Personal insight, I am a theater major turned corporate techie. Time zone is EST - WFH.
Lost a player and am looking to replace. Game is slow paced, your character will be level three.
