As she stands at the ready, she responds to you, “I don’t know anything more about the flowers themselves other than where you can find them.”
"Very well," Mara bows down, slightly disappointed at the sword.
"Tell us where we can find these flowers and we'll be out of your business. Something like these, perhaps?"
Mara used minor illusion to create the image of a lily as a starting point for the warrior to correct her in (but also because in flower language it symbolizes a soul that has passed from this realm to the next...)
“Right,” she says dropping her sword, “nothing like that. They are just on the other side of that hill outside the mouth of a blocked cage entrance”, indicating to the East. “But without the blood of a monstrosity the flowers will be useless…”
Progo still sits in waiting, not wanting to leave his spot. Though clearly being discovered, Progo doesn't want to give away his position just incase she doesn't know that yet.
“Listen,” she says, “your blank stares tell me that you have no idea what I’m talking about.” She sighs heavily and continues. “There is another monstrosity that has been lurking around of late. You can wander around until it eventually finds you or, if you’re smart, you will catch it by surprise. It is a cunning creature. But its cunning is not outmatched by its ravenous ferocity. The thing can be drawn out or lured. I know it is attracted to the scent of blood. The easiest way to get its attention is to spill some blood on the ground. This will surely draw it to the spot. I’ve already been waylaid too long now and must away. I bid you all good luck. Even you master Orc.” And with that there is another blinding flash of lightning and she is gone.
Hearing her start her farewells Progo leaps from his hiding spot and rushes to stab her with his rapier. As the streak of light disappeared the rapier sticks through where she was standing. "Did Progo get her? Progo thinks that maybe everybody in this plane can do the lightning tricks." He stops and thinks for a minute. "Maybe Progo can do lightning trick here too?" He tries to will himself to be behind Mara.
"So there is a lair, a cave of some sort, with a flower that can assist in plane traveling. We could check the cave we know of and see if there is this flower. Also we need to figure out this ritual. Progo wishes those solders were more specific on where they saw the thing disappear." Progo sits on the ground and strikes a thinking pose. "We should also consider killing the flower to prevent anything else taking advantage of the ritual, like say mystery lighting people."
((Wait, is the monster's lair a cave or a cage? And if it is a cave...now that we know that is is just over the hill to the east, does this mean that it is the very same cave entrance we came out of that you said was overgrown with weeds and vines?))

"My dear mister Progo," Mara said without turning to him, "If we killed the flowers, there will be no way for us to get back home and earn Sir Tristan's illustrious rewards...or his praise. Besides, we really ought to set a trap for this 'other monstrosity' hot on our heels. If we retreated now, I fear we'd only to risk having to fight this new thing and the Thessalhydra at the same time when we start making a fuss and spilling each others' blood."

It is a totally normal, plain steel great sword. 🤷♂️

"Well, lets look for some animal that we can use its blood."

You cannot find traces or evidence of anything living around. There is only evidence of the Thessalhydra and your party.

With a wholesome looking smile and a sweeping wave of her fan the smell of blood fills the air, for the next hour.
"Now, what say you, gentlemen? Shall we set up an ambush?"
It’s a cave.
Cool. How big/far does the scent go?
