(this is the same thread as the one in the Looking For Players, but it was moved here)
Born the lesser daughter of a lesser noble family; Kit Harrowhark's only hope in life was to marry well, a conceit that she was unwilling to accept. Instead she ran off, living the life of a "gentleman adventurer" and making her own way however she can. She's even adopted the hunting garb of a male courtier, which combined with her short choppy hair and androgynous beauty helps her to look the part.
As an adventurer, Kit is a bit of a dabbler, trying her hand at everything but mastering nothing. In her down time she likes to hang out in taverns listening to troubadours or swapping stories with other adventurers. She's even been know to perform on occasion herself.
Kit has an overconfidence about her and tends to be brash, if not outright reckless. She is deeply curious and loves mysteries, learning new things, and meeting new people.
Well to do daughter of an ambassador and wizard. The city can change to one in your realm.
Species: High Half Elf 11, 14, 12, 17, 11, 112
Class(es): 3 Wizard
Subclass(es): Order of Scribes
Description of character/Personality: You see a red headed elf wearing boots, a robe of dark blue with stars twinkling all over it. She also carries a Staff, 2 Shortswords in scabbards, Longbow, quiver with arrows, backpack, a couple pouches. A Pseudodragon can be seen on her shoulder from time to time.
Personality Traits
I’ve read every book in the world’s greatest libraries—or I like to boast that I have.
Ideals
Knowledge. The path to power and self-improvement is through knowledge. (Neutral)
Bonds
I have an ancient text that holds terrible secrets that must not fall into the wrong hands.
The book is in my character sheet notes.
Flaws
I am easily distracted by the promise of information.
Species: Human (changeling appearing as human if you'll allow it)
Class(es): Cleric (1), Rogue (1), Sorcerer (1)
Subclass(es): Knowledge domain, Shadow origin
Description of character/Personality: In a word, explorer He comes from a monastic clerical order that seeks knowledge, explorers, adventures, and while they aren't a lawful order, and tend to be more vigilante in their approach to justice, they lean toward good long as you aren't diametrically opposed to those efforts and to the good of the innocent. A follower of Oghma, but his origins are clearly a spin-off group separate from their mainstream religion. He appears to be genuinely interested in joining others, very much knowing that anything worth finding is going to be dangerous and doing that alone would be foolhardy.
Any more information about this? I love Acquisitions Incorporated but I'm curious how much of the book will actually be incorporated.
As well as what you mean with casual play style? I ask because I have been in the situation of showing up with a fighter to a campaign featuring no combat.
All that aside, what do we use for ability score generation?
Description of character/Personality: Jennlin is not unapproachable, but she is not normal. At least not to the usual people of the land perhaps. While she has been here long enough to manage living, she still finds speech and customs odd at times, and others probably find her equally odd. While not malicious, she has little reservation about taking down those who hurt and oppress others, or simply get in her way of something she wants. There may or may not be a bit of a cruel smile at times when she hears the moans of the dying, particularly if they come from her quarry.
Description of character/Personality: Bright Shadow hails from a far-off land, speaking mostly in heavily accented Common. An expert at sneaking and snatching things, she always found a way to have enough coins to get by. Her primary drive is adventure, always wanting to travel and explore new things. She loves to hang out with others, enjoying stories - whether listening or telling - music, and games.
Description of character/Personality: Born in the Feywild under the blue moon (a bad omen, as it were) to noble elvish parents, Faylen Keabanise was an outcast from the start. For, she was born without a voicebox, unable to utter a single word. Her parents, utterly ashamed of her, cast her off into the Shadowfell plane, never to be seen again. Growing up in the dark horrors of the Shadowfell, she soon came under the watchful eye of the Raven Queen, who gave her the name of Daewen Pell (Sindarin for Hushed Shadow Maiden). Her melancholic visage and aptitude for hiding in shadows were of great use to the Raven Queen, who often sent her on missions to other planes to watch and wait, looking for the tragedies her Queen wished to collect. Being a mute has its advantages among the Shadar-Kai, as she's learned to hear things her fellow missionaries never assumed were worth paying attention to. It's these nuggets of information that the Raven Queen desires the most, and Daewen has reaped the benefits of being an immortal servant for untold centuries.
Will this campaign be combat, social interaction or exploration focused?
This campaign has a lot of combat in it, but there is some comedic social interaction (it is a Acquistions Incorporated adventure)
What political entities are present?
In addition to the Acquistions Incorporated Head Office, whom you work for, there are also rival group such as Dran Enterprises, the typical mad wizards, evil tyrant liches, and dragons of D&D, and various kings/queens/democratically elected officials in kingdoms you will work in.
What method of ability score generation is used?
You can use Point Buy, Standard Array, or Manual rolled with the reroll 1s rule.
Can I join this campaign?
Yes, any player can join this campaign! Copy/paste the bold text in the first post on this thread into a post, then fill in the information for your character.
Subclass(es): (Not sure on wizard subclass, will decide based on party comp) / Thief
Description of character/Personality: Sinsil is the youngest of 13 in a far reaching crime syndicate. The favorite child of her father (Her mother's 5th husband) and ever a bit spoiled, she went to some of the best schools, learned some things about magic, and then kicked around the idea of joining the family business. Her mother wouldn't hear of it without some actual street experience, so she pulled some strings to get Sinsil a job at AI and said "don't come back till you own the place"
Homebrew/UA used, if any (Not sure if I'll be using any at present, might want a "spell thief" feat later, but I'll discuss if I'm chosen)
Description of character/Personality: Battleling - Stories told of great deeds done by the Battlelings, a halfing calvary unit that used to patrol the forests around halfling villages to protect from outsider evils. Grogan always want to follow in the footstep of the group, who disbanded generations ago, and live a life of protecting the world from evils with his faithful assistant Druman. Druman is a Mastiff that Grogan saved up to buy as a puppy and raise himself. Now Grogan and Druman wander the world looking for adventure.
