Gotrek turns his head and glares at this giggling birdman rolling on the floor, "Careful pigeon, I am not known for my tolerance of pointless behaviour." Turning back to the barkeep, "A mug of ale, a warm meal and a dorm room will have to do then."With that, he swipes the oddly shaped rock off the bench, tucking it away in his armour, picks up his mug and leaves some coins on the bench whilst muttering something incomprehensible in dwarvish, his glare at the aarakocra and tone giving hint it was not something pleasant. Gotrek turns around, scanning the room and decides to head towards the half-elf in the corner of the tavern. "That seat waiting on anyone?" Gotrek asks the half-elf, gesturing to an empty seat at the table.
Sirahane and the others wrinkle their noses and look around under the table to try to find the source of the smell when it dissipates as quickly as it came. Sirahane begins to respond to Cole's question when the bearded dwarf comes offer a mentions a lead on the delegation from Mirabar. Sirahane watches the dwarf closely as she addresses Cole, wary due to the earlier rudeness.
"Fortunate and rather curious that so many are looking for the same delegation." Tharkond says quietly when the dwarf is out of ear shot.
"Quite...Tharkond, Lisis, you two stay here and follow up with anyone who remains and secure us lodging. Lisis and I will share a room, Thar, you'll have your own. Cole, would you like to accompany me in following this Redleaf to see what comes of it? I will be able to defend us in case of any treachery."
Tharkond grinned and was surely about to crack wise when he was interrupted by Lisis, "Of course, Sira-M'lady." Lisis corrected herself, but Sirahane only smiled at the women and got up to leave waiting only for Cole to be ready if he wishes to go.
Once Polly has recovered from his laughing fit he hauls himself back on his feet and orders another drink. He glances back at the table he was previously gambling at and notices his seat has been taken. Eh, they were a boring lot anyway, he thinks to himself. Polly notices the spikey dwarf take a seat next to some humanoid of sorts (they all look the same to him). Bugger it, I got nothing else planned for the night. He wanders over to the pair. "Greetin's, me names Polly", then to the dwarf, "How about I buy you a drink, you forget about 2 minutes ago, and I'll forget you're copying me hairdo". Polly places his drink in front of the dwarf, then without invitation plops himself down at the table with the dwarf and the other humanoid.
While Redleaf is waiting outside for any that wishes to follow she goes next door and makes the 5gp donation then waits at the eastern road she was told to go down.
Thromkor looks wide-eyed at the dwarf as she bluntly speaks and then turns to Tibold as she walks away to the door. "How did she ...? Well, if she knows something, I suppose we'd best follow." He stands and retrieves his staff. Clunk, clunk, the dragonborn hurries as much as he can after the old dwarf woman.
When he reaches the street, he doesn't see her. He looks up and down the street, past the few pedestrians. "Should have known," he says, his shoulders slumping. "Wild goose chase." He turns to limp back into the inn, but then sees Redleaf exiting the building next door. "Oh, hello!" he calls, changing direction to follow after her. When he finally catches up, he clears his throats and nods at her politely. "I'm Thromkor Shragtithe of Waterdeep. You are also looking for information on the missing delegation?"
Redleaf looks the Dragonborn up and down and frowns. "You look like a civie to me. I'm Redleaf, Druid of Miribar, Protector of the Spine of the World. A delegation went missing but I don't give a kobolds ass about them. What one of the ladies were carrying is what I am after. A pouch of magical seeds. If fallen into the wrong hands could mean the end of the world. Nature could be destroyed. I aim to bring them back to where they belong. If I happen to find any people from the delegation. Lucky them."
Redleaf looks towards the door to see if anyone else is coming out. "It seems a bunch of us are looking for the same thing. Well, everyone else including my partner is looking for that delegation. I found out a lead and if you want to join with me that's fine. If not, you can gather the information from my lead and make a choice in what you want to do. I promised an overgrown tree I'd get the seeds for him and I haven't broken a promise in 460 years, I'm not going to start now."
Thromkor stammers a little at the dwarf's direct (and abrasive) manner, but stumbles on. "I'm not sure what a 'civie' is, but my associate and I are looking for one particular individual who was traveling with the delegation, so if you have a lead, I'd like to accompany you. Is the lead nearby, ma'am?"
"A civie is one of you little sissies that live in the creature comforts of a city or town. You rely on creature comforts to get through your day, you need a bed to sleep in, a bath to clean yerself. What, the river ain't good enough for you? A person that likes to destroy nature so they can put siding on a house or build a new bathhouse. Destroy sacred groves so you may build a library, Destroy all those trees to make books for the libraries. You get my drift, If not than yer daft."
Redleaf wrinkles her nose at nothing in particular.
"Bah. The place is close by or so I am told by my contact. Was that individual in the delegation the one carrying my seeds?"
Lanoros, introduces himself to the others. He looks at Redleaf, "So tell me more about this lead, Redleaf."
"Nice of you to finally join me. Brother what's his face, I didn't bother to remember his name because it's not important, told me about some Sheppard that had information. I aim to go to this Sheppard and find out what he knows. His name is Larmon Greenboot"
Tibold is just a step behind Thromkor, and hears just the end of Redleaf's insults.
"Making yourself a friend, Thromkor?" he asks, grinning, then faces the dwarf, brown eyes twinkling.
"Well, noble dwarf.Whether or not I am daft is up for discussion, but I still get your drift. Quite generous of you to allow "civies" like us to join you. I'm Tibold."
Lanoros looks at Redleaf, "Well the lead sounds good, but it seems you've made some friends. Redleaf, I didn't think you were the friend type, especially with these "civies." Especially that one." He laughs as he points at Sirhane as she walks out of the Inn. "Again, my name is Lanoros and it seems we are here all to investigate the members of a missing delegation. I think for now, it might be best to stick together. Redleaf lead the way to your lead."

Sirahane walks out of the tavern with Cole, catching the end of the group's introductions. Dismissing the rude pointing of the green elf as an unintentional slight, Sirahane approaches the group, "I am Sirahane Bladesemmer, heir to my house and knight of Waterdeep. As surmised, I am also investigating the missing delegation and would put my influence and my skill to any parallel efforts to do so."
As Sirahane introduces herself, Redleaf scoffs, "Oh great. Queen civie is in our midst. Anyway. Brother what's his face said we need to go talk to Larmon Greenboot. As to Larmon's location, at this time of the day - if he is in town - he is most likely to be in Gaelkurs a somewhat seedy place on the edge of the town. Go out of the Inn door and you will see a road running east. Follow it and where it intersects with the Larch Path you will find Gaelkurs - you can't miss it. That's what he said."
Redleaf looks over the group and mutters something in a language no one understands. "Where's the Parrot?" Redleaf looks around and shrugs. "Doesn't matter. I thought he was with you. (she says to Gotrek) Let's go."
Redleaf leads the small group down the street to the directions she was given.
Gotrek turns to see Polly having followed him to the table.“You clearly haven’t had much interactions with dwarves if you think I will forget it.” Gotrek says gruffly to Polly, “But I will allow it to slide this one time.” With that he picks up the offered mug and drains it in one long swallow. He then finishes his own original drink, turns back to Poll and says “The name is Gotrek son of Gurni. Look, it seems all the fun stuff is happening outside.” Without looking to see if Polly follows, Gotrek heads outside, to catch the end snippets of the conversation about the delegation. "He was following me last I checked." Gotrek shrugs,"I dont know anything about magic seeds or missing people but I have been tracking raiders that wear an odd armour. What do you know about stone armour?"Gotrek asks whilst pulling out the rock he showed to the bartender. Upon closer inspection, it doesnt just look like an irregular piece of rock, having a rough resemblance to a vambrace.
Thromkor opens his mouth to answer Redleaf, but one after another, people speak over him, so he bows his head and waits a bit grumpily. When Tibold addresses Sirahane, he quickly follows suit with mild worry, mumbling something similar to the bard's salutation and giving the lady a small bow beside his companion. He then limps after the others, thankful that a dwarf is in the lead and not a longer-legged creature. He chances small glances at the others, wondering at the crowd he's suddenly a part of.
The party assembles outside The Swinging Sword in ones and twos. As Lady Sirahane exits the Inn you catch a faint whiff of horse manure as if she had just stepped out of a stable, which however quickly dissipates. The last to leave the Inn is Polly. Suddenly there is a ruckus from a building directly across the road. Compared to The Swinging Sword this building is distinctly ramshackle with rusty metal grills covering its small windows. The building's name The Helm at Highsun is very clearly printed in large, simple letters on both sides of a jutting wooden sign. Atop the sign is a rusting, over-sized adornment: what looks like a warrior’s bucket helm with two eye slits. A door opens in the building and a large humanoid is thrown out into the street. A voice says “and stay out”. The humanoid – a half-orc caravan guard – clambers to her feet and yells back at the closed door “Your nuttin’ compared to the caravan guards from Mirabar I fought about one and half ten days ago but I’ll have ya!”
