"Cragmaw Castle is what you seek in this wilderness? I am part of the Emerald Enclave. We try to maintain the balance of the natural world and those goblins are a threat. We have been attempting to clear the fortress for years now, but the goblin's numbers never seem to dwindle too low." He draws you a map marking the location. It is north of Phandalin, hidden away in the woods. There is a path leading there that can be followed. After explaining the map, he looks over at a very confused Gramgran. "Dear, you had been bitten by one of these vile creatures, but your friends brought you here just in time to administer an antidote."
Reidoth will ask, "What would those goblins want with that dwarf?"
I think I misspoke when I told you the location of Thundertree. I believe I told you it was west of Phandalin. It is actually north of the Phandalin. You all would have had to travel back along the Sword Coast the way you came and through Neverwinter. Sorry about that.

"Would your order be able to lend any aid in our endeavours at the castle then? We are but a few adventurers, and if your order have been battling with these goblins for some time, it does not bode well to our cause."
Vah'Lhorn tries to recal if he has heard anything about the Emerald Enclave - History3

"We want to find that out too. Gundren was snatched away almost as if the goblins were only after him... At the time it seemed random. Now it feels like it was anything but."
Yuri will make a similar attempt to recall information on the Emerald Enclave and specifically whether their aims align with The Lords Alliance.
Vah'Lhorn does not recall anything about the Enclave, but Yuri does. "Our numbers are small and scattered, and most are not effective warriors in such places."You gather he means in dungeons and castles. The only weapon you see around is a longbow made of a dark red wood.
The Emerald Enclave is a far-ranging group that opposes threats to the natural world and helps others survive the many perils of the wild.
Members of the Emerald Enclave are spread far and wide, and usually operate in isolation. They learn to depend on themselves more than others. Survival in a harsh world also demands great fortitude and mastery of certain fighting and survival skills. Members of the Enclave who dedicate themselves to helping others survive the perils of the wilderness are more social than others who are charged with defending sacred glades and preserving the natural balance.
BELIEFS
The natural order must be respected and preserved.
Forces that seek to upset the natural balance must be destroyed.
The wilderness can be harsh. Not everyone can survive in it without assistance.
GOALS
To restore and preserve the natural order, keep the elemental forces of the world in check, keep civilization and the wilderness from destroying one another, and help others survive the perils of the wilderness.
"Then I guess we travel as we are. Though after the troubles we have seen so far, I would rather take some time to restvand regain our strength. Then I would feel better ifcwecwere to make a considerable dent in the number of zombies that blight this place! Also, I believe that Geamgran mentioned something of that poor soul, Mirna's, was left behind hereabouts, perhaps we can find that whilst we reduce the undead populace."
Trying to shake off what she had been told, Gramgran says, “Yes quite right. We should definitely get Mirna’s heirloom, and get out while kicking some dead people’s butts! And then off to the castle to see how we get in!”
Turning to Reidoth she’ll hold out a hand to shake and tell them, “And thank you for saving my life. If you ever need something, just send a letter. The name is Gramgran Firaith. I hope we see each other again.”
"If you are needing to rest for the night, you all can stay here in the common room if you'd like." Riedoth will reach out and shake Gramgrans hand. "Yes, yes. Of course. Hopefully under better circumstances," he says to Gramgran while writing her name down."Do you know where this heirloom was kept? I have been through the buildings here and most are destroyed with nothing much of value left."
(OoC @ MoistBooks - You might be right there... I just looked back through the Mirna interactions and can't find anything that points us to Thundertree from her. Will ignore that vein then.)
Mirna begins to break down and starts to cry after being freed. Nars trys to console his mother. "I - we don't have much to give you for rescuing us. When I was a young girl, my family and I had to flee from the town of Thundertree. Hordes of undead overran the town. Those that did not leave were killed. My family had an herb and alchemy shop in the city. Before we left, my father hid a case inside the shop beneath a section of storage shelves. Inside the case is an emerald necklace. I never dared to return and retrieve it. The shop was in the southeast part of Thundertree. I haven't been there since we had left. I have heard stories the city is overrun with the undead."
At the mention of a reward, Gramgran just places her hands on top of Mirna’s and says, “Oh honey, it’s okay. We didn’t do this for payment. You needed help, and I can’t just leave such a loving family like that.” Thinking for a second, Gramgran decodes something and tells Mirna, “If I am ever near Thundertree, I will go to your family’s shop and get that necklace for you. Can’t have family heirlooms getting lost, now can we?” Gramgran will spend some time calming the family down, talking in a soothing voice.
"Yuri and I encountered a few zombies over that way... Maybe we should take that rest and then head out with the expectation of needing to defend ourselves. I would like to keep as much distance between the walking dead's teeth and our skins as physically possible, but we should make efforts to end their existence for good."
(OoC - At this point I'm happy to take a short or long rest, then head outside at full strength to try and kill some zombies on the way to the shop.)
(OOC Seconded, Yuri isn't that badly hurt, but if we're going back or there the rest of the party might like at least a short rest, maybe long if you've burned spell slots.)
Everyone gets a long rest in the druid's temporary home. Groans and moans can be heard throughout the night as the undead walk the streets. Morning arrives and everyone is rested. Looking around, you do not find Reidoth and there are no signs of when or where he left.
Waking up refreshed, Vah'Lhorn takes in his surroundings, and is glad to see that the four all managed a night's reast without having to defend against the zombies the other side of teh door. Noticing that Reidoth is nowhere to be seen, Vah'Lhorn comments "I hope he left us a key to lock up after ourselves, it would be a poor show of gratitude were he to return and find his abode compromised. Of course, exterminating all the zombies hereabouts should make that somewhat less of a risk..." Vah'Lhorn expands on his thoughts to the group, what basically amount to a roving street fight, seeking out the zombies in buildings and the streets, and terminating any that they find. Then going back over the area to make sure they haven't missed any. "Kim, you were a soldier too, what experience have you got of skirmishes in towns? Mine is quite limited."
Yuri begins stretching, working tight muscles loose again after a night on the floor wearing chainmail. Looking through his pack he removes some dried meat and begins to chew it, offering it anyone in the party who cares to take it.
"I've not got much to add. Usually I would track down beasts or goblins and tackle them individually or in small groups. It's only since I signed on here that I've fought larger groups."
Yuri swallows a piece of jerky worked soft by his teeth sand continues,
"My two copper's worth is this, we stick together. We were overwhelmed quickly by those things last time. Gramgran and Kim stay behind me and we bring anything that shambles towards us back down as quickly as possible."
Sorry about being away. Work, school and life had me pretty busy.
As Vah'Lhorn looks around, there is no key, but the back door seems to lock itself after it is closed.
Reidoth did warn you of a new group that is hiding out on the eastern side of town—he's seen "folk in black masks and cloaks" skulking around. However, he is currently most concerned by the fact that a green dragon has moved into the tower (area 7) since the last time he was here. He warns the characters of all these threats and suggests that they leave Thundertree before they get themselves killed.
Area 9 is where the alchemy shop is where the family heirloom was supposedly hidden away.
Gramgran just listens to the conversation, still confused over what happened.

Telling Reidoth about the alchemy shop, she asks if he’s seen one in town matching Mirna’s description.
"The alchemy shop? There's not much left of the shop, but it is directly east of here." (building 9)
