Yuri blinks his eyes rapidly, and releases his two handed grip on the sword. He states at the blade, at the pattern etched on it.
"Maybe whoever was dragged from those horses is alive. Maybe they are dead. I don't know." He sheathes the sword. "Maybe it was Gundren, maybe it was not." He slings his shield across his shoulders and checks his crossbow and quiver.
"But, we stand a better chance of bringing them out alive if we move quickly." Yuri looks over to Gramgran. "I'm with you." Then shifting his gaze to Darthos, nods. "Agreed." walking over he claps his hand onto Darthos' shoulder and lowers his voice "My mother taught me that courage is not the absence of fear, but is rather action in the knowledge of it. My father taught me that magic had the power to create and to destroy, that it was up to those who wield it how they use it."
Finally he turns to face Kim "We need a plan if we're going in, ideas?"
When you all decide what to do (I’m assuming the goblin trai), give me a marching order. Just tell me your positions, Front middle or rear. I think it’s decided Yuri is up front.
"If it's decided that Yuri will take the lead then I think I will take the rear. You all can decide where you want to be in the middle. If you have a ranged weapon it might be a good idea to have it at the ready."

Gramgran is right next to Renvalm, checking his wounds as they go.
Renvalm Hellhelm
Renvalm notices that Gramgran looking over the wound he received from the goblin arrow. If she looks close enough she would possibly be able to see a few scars that don't look like they were received from weapon strikes. They are surgical in appearance and one is on his chest, just above his heart. "Don't worry about me Gramgran, I've suffered far worse. This one is nothing." In a wishper to himself he adds, "It's the ones you can't see that are the worst..."

Gramgran
Looking over Renvalm as he says this, Gramgran
Perception 15
Pretty clearly sees those surgical scars, and though she hides her worry, she still checks him over like a grandmother with a grandson going to church.
Darthos looks over at Yuri and grins, the mirth he had before the fight slowly coming back to him. "I suppose it's time to be courageous then," he says clasping Yuri on the arm. Whatever the fight had done it seemed as if he was somehow closer to these strange people, it never crossed his mind but he suddenly felt like there was some sort of brotherhood that had come from defending each other, or at least in his case. "Aye, I'll do what I have to," he says as his grin widens then turns to Morpetor, "perhaps when we get our employer out, if he's hopefully still alive, we can share spells as you suggested, Morpetor. I won't be averse to benefit from your knowledge."
She looks at the group and notes their different fighting styles then says, "Yuri, I will follow close behind you. I know I look small and weak, but I am actually pretty strong. I will be able to give you support if you need it quickly either with force or spell. Also, I can whisper to people, without making a sound through the spell message. I need to be near the front so I can relay information to those who follow. It will allow us to be quieter and maybe allow us to ambush them this time. Also, I still have some water left. If I need a message to get to everyone, I will water shape it into a small phrase." She lets out a devilish smile, thinking to herself, I could get used to these people. Never have I gained trust and respect for anyone other than Captain Izen, much less a whole group like this. Maybe I could recruit them one day and this be my platoon. Captain Stormwell does sound wonderful.
As the group walks along the trail Renvalm begins to think about what they are doing and the fact that they really don't know anything. It would have been nice to have captured one of the goblins from the ambush get information from but what was done was done and nobody could fault what happened in the heat of battle. Knowing that the need for information was great and would be very helpful in determining if Gundren and the other were still alive. Calling out to the party, before they got to far from the ambush site he says, "Everyone, before we get to far we must acknowledge that we are seriously lacking any knowledge of are enemies and the whereabouts of Gundren and Sildar. To that end I propose that we capture the next goblin we find alive and interrogate them."

The group decides to seek thier patron, Gundren. Rather dead or alive, they wish for this chapter to be closed. Too much honor to leave a man for himself. The horse and wagon are tied up just off the roadway. Kim conjuresa magical cube around the cart and horse to mimic the scene of a forest. To anyone not looking too hard, it appears to be just another part of an endless forest.
The group packs up thier items and begin walking toward the tree line. Walking through the goblin bodies makes Darthos rather uncomfortable still, but he is comfortated by Gramgran. They make thier way past the last goblin laid to waste and the head of the trail. The trail quickly veers right. Yuri can tell with his survival skills the path is leading north east. The path is not wide enough for the group to walk side by side, forcing them into a single file line. Yuri takes the lead with his altered weapon, still unsure if it was a blessing or a curse. Kim falls in behind, her military experience taking over as she watches for an ambush. The magic user join in the middle of the group. Renvalm takes position at the rear, protecting Gramgran. Grangram thinks it’s cute with the big barbarian protecting her as she navigates the uneven path rather nimbly.
You have traveled the trail for about 10 minutes when Yuri comes to an abrupt stop. Yuri notices under some fallen leaves a cord leading to a bent tree nearby. Yuri motions to Kim of a snare trap placed along the trail.
Sees the trap ahead of them, thanks to Yuri, then drops her water from her waterskin casting shape water as it falls. She then manipulates it to make a giant arrow that she moves over to the trap to point it out to the others. She holds it in position till each person has passed the trap. Once Renvalm crosses the trap safely she controls the water back into her waterskin. She nods back to Yuri as to let him know everyone is ready to continue on.

Yuri Naïlo
Yuri nods, and continues down the trail. Having spotted one trap, his eyes dart from side to side, conscious that having noticed one trap, did not mean he would notice the next.
Once they moved on from the trap and started progressing forward once again, Darthos put a hand on Morpetor's shoulder in an effort to stabilize himself and sends Boren upwards, his sight and hearing shifting from himself to his familiar's, and although he knew the chance of an ambush was little considering he sent Boren out before and saw nothing, he wanted to be careful, didn't want to be caught in the same trap again. "I'm seeing with Boren's eyes," he called out, "if there are any awaiting ambushes, I'll let you know."
The group passes over the snare without tripping the goblin trap. Yuri continues leading the group down the goblin trail. The drag marks continue as you follow the path. Many goblin foot prints clearly visible. About another 10 minutes down the road, Yuri again stops the group dead in their pace. Kim relays the info to the other. Yuri is able to point out a pit trap dig into the path way. The trap camouflaged to blend into the surroundings. The pit appeared to span most of the with of the trail and last about 5 feet along the trail (5' x 5' pit). The group passes through on the side of the trap. The traps clearly placed here to thwart pursuers. After the group passed the two traps, you have traveled about 5 miles away from your wagon. Darthos can see ahead of the group is a clearing after the forest ends into a clearing. Darthos relays this information on to Morpetor. No dangers can be noted as you travel.
After following the goblin trail, the forest opens up in to a clearing. In front of you is a large cave is dug into the hillside. A shallow stream flows from the cave mouth to the south. It appears to be the only entrance into the cave. Across the stream is a line line of thicket (running north and south), which is impenetrable from the west. The ground has been traveled creating a narrow dry path into the cave on the east side of the stream.

"Alright kids, let's make a plan. If we're going underground, we should have the toughest up front, with the squishier children in the back." She looks at the magic users, thinking they're so brave, but by Lady Lliira are they squishy. "Anybody have some more pieces to this plan?"
"From what I can see, anyone approaching the cave entrance will be seen by any guard they may have set. If we are going to take any goblins alive for questioning it might be a good idea to lure any that maybe guarding the cave entrance into a ambush of are own. Anyone have anything that they could use to draw someone out?"

Darthos looks back at Renvalm. "I think I may have something," he then digs in his pouch and takes out a pinch of phosphorous, then starts mumbling the incantation for dancing lights as he throws the phosphorous in the air, the dust hanging as if stuck to a web. His hand drawing shapes around it, circles within circles that start moving around the small cloud. A light begins to shimmer, bright white and glaring as the circles move faster. And just as the incantation ends, for globs of light hang in the air and he commands to turn into a small goblinoid-like creature. "Perhaps this could draw one out if there are guards present?"
Seeing this display of magic Renvalm can't help but this plan is coming along nicely "That just might work, now we just need somewhere to hide and prepare for the ambush. Any suggestions of where we could strike from?"
