Situation: After the two groups have departed on their separate missions (one to secure the getaway route and extration, the other to collect the package), the lightning rail bolts down the path towards its destination, the stop by the docks.
One sky coach, its deck badly damaged from cold magic, holds Group 1. It is currently around the rendezvous point, ready to assist with the getaway.
Three sky coaches are around the lightning rail and seemingly getting some attention. One has some scorch marks and holds Group A, the other two are setup as decoys to assist in the escape. However, one of those is now carrying one of the care packages due to the limits of these small ships and what they can hold.
Ahead it is noted that some commotion has gone on, and there is part of the track (in Eberron, lightning rail actually doesn't have any rails to speak of, it has elementally charged lodestones that propel the train along, more like a magnet train) that has been broken by some powerful magic. With the carriages hurtling towards this area, Biff and Charl quickly update their status to one another on their sending stones, seeing that both sides have somewhat completed their tasks, but have had "complications" along the way...
Edric assesses the situation and those sitting next to him hear him utter the words "Kashtathath ath kilathash!" Under his breath. Regaining his composure, he then mentally addresses his cohorts. "I'm not entirely sure how that section of track got destroyed, but we're probably going to be blamed for it. Any suggestions as to what we do now?"

Boothinks for a moment... Arcana22plusHero Point 3 [18 Total] and just rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "I got nothing..." Then she calls out to Biff who has been communication with his buddy Charl on their sending stones, "Biff please ask Charl how many of the conductor stones (loadstones) have been rendered nonfunctional i.e. otherwise damaged or destroyed? It is my understanding but I could be wrong... that Conductor Stones are usually placed a good distance apart, I don't know maybe 30 to to 50 feet so apart or so along the route that a Lightning Rail Engine is supposed to take and that a lightning rail can withstand one missing Conductor Stone, moving at half speed, but two or more consecutively will cause a possible crash. So if that is the case and then we have a couple of viable options. (1) We tie up Edric and put him out here with a note saying he acted alone and broke the rail and caused the resulting accident and call it a day," she states rather sarcastically. "(2) We can attempt to get over the Lighting Rail Engine at the front where the air elemental that supplies the rail's power is bound and the House Orion operator and support crew and inform them of the problem and get them to stop before its too late or we can attempt to communicate with the elemental directly and convince it or subvert the operator's control over it to stop. (3) We can attempt to unhook the passenger/cargo cars behind the engine so they detach and are left behind as the engine alone continues traveling on in order to minimize damage and loss of life, etc. so that only the engine section alone and its crew will go boom!" Boo will have Biff relay that info to Charl to inform the other group for their input and thoughts...
OOC: I so love my clutch rolls, had been a '1' at least with racial Luck Boo could have gotten a re-roll but no, not even that so 18 will just have to do. I am more or less with Sarcasticfury, just to cut and run period at this point, nothing has gone right from the start, why should it change now... so that is what Boo votes to do!
Eldin sees the situation and says, "I don't think the fallout of the major crash is our problem. We'll have to lay low for until the head dies down. For now, we should probably just grab the other team and get out before the crash happens. It's going to be really hard to get back to base with all the guards out for our heads after the rail crashes."
" Precaution: We must hurry if we want to warn the engineer to stop before they reach the breach. Suggestion: We have not done anything illegal yet. Warning and prevent the loss of innocent lifes should not be a danger to us. Suggestion: We can blame the orcs we fought for both the destruction of the rails and the stolen goods."
Boothinks for a moment... Arcana12plusHero Point 6 [18 Total] and just rolls her eyes and shakes her head. Then she calls out to Biff who has been communication with his buddy Charlon their sending stones, "LOTS OF WORDS!"Boo will have Biff relay that info to Charl to inform the other group for their input and thoughts...
NOTE: Please keep in mind that the lightning rail is hurtling towards its target. It'll be a mere amount of seconds before then, so this conversation will either:
A) Be null and void if you take another approach, or B) Be interrupted as the lightning rail collides into the area before you finish your theorising.
While "talking is a free action", crafting a full speech isn't.
OOC: I edited everything that Boo said before out the crash... was not clear that we just a single action round to react so doesn't matter one way or the other. Sorry my bad... so it crashes before she gets her words out no matter in any event.
Carrick accepts that there's nothing that he can do with the train being ready to crash in mere seconds and spends a moment to silently pray that it's quick and that the passengers don't suffer too much. Then he turns to Biff. "If the other team is good, we should get out of here now. Unless one of us can pull out a miracle in the next six seconds, this thing's gonna crash and I'd rather not stick around afterwards. Let's get back to the safe house so we can get paid and then lay low."
"You're being a hero, that's what" Caspian is going to say, as he places a hand on Eleven and tells him "You can fly, it's up to you what you can do with that. Save a few, try to lessen the crash. Or don't. All I know is you're the strongest of us, and if anyone can do something, it's you."
OOC: I cast Fly on Eleven. I don't know if it's at all possible to do anything before the impact, but I can't do anything else to help, so I figured I might as well do this.
OOC: This is ridiculous. I can't stop giggling. You just cast fly on Eleven. This is hilarious. What does an unwise acrophobic bro do when granted the power of flight and told he's going to be a hero? Oh, and his only friend is on the train barreling toward its doom? He flies into danger, of course!
Mutt (Eleven) looks at Caspian, his illusionary minotaur eyes wide. He then looks at the train and leaps off the sky coach, yelling, "I'm comin', Boo!"

Can Eldin see the other team's sky coach head toward the doomed lightning rail? Can he see Eleven attempt to jump out?
