"I... will inform them of circumstances." D.O.R.K bows to Nemyth, and starts to step back until Devin's suggestion. Without another word, she digs out eight of her remaining 9 shards. "This quantity should suffice for Mr. G's stabling for the next 4 days." She offers to Nemyth. "I will not be able to stay here, due to insufficient funds. Which is just as well, as I will have other preparations to make while you rest later."D.O.R.K confesses.
"One last inquiry. Where is the town's blacksmith located? Please see to your own lodgings quickly, so that we may meet Lord Protector Darathara Shendrel."She states formally as she turned to walk off. After Beedo and Vark see to the cart, the duo give their own clumsy yet somehow formal request for lodgings, paying the due to cover at least two days. "

"You wont find more reasonable accommodation in Triboar! Well that I would stay in anyway but it is up to you. As to the blacksmith his name is Ghelryn Foehammer and you'll find his forge on the other side of the Long Road (this is the road that you are all on) on the far side of town."

Devin glances at D for a moment when she says she can't afford the room. He doesn't want to insult her but he also doesn't want her to stay outside.
"Please D. I know we've had our differences but I don't want you staying outside. Please allow me to cover your room. It's not really my money anyways. Its money we've picked up along the way. Let me try and make things right between us."

D.O.R.K turns back to Devin, and stares at him for a long moment. "That is appreciated." She says slowly, sounding conflicted of something. "But no, as it is an unnecessary waste of funds. I do not require lodgings as you fle-... Mor-... As you non-metallic beings. At least to the same extent. And as previously stated, I will have business to attend to, presuming there is no curfew in place."She starts to turn to leave, but catches herself and looks back. "I... will inform you, if I should change my mind."
Torunn grumbles "Fine by me. But can i get a room to myself? And would I be able to get my meals sent to my room?" He puts the required amount of gold on the bench before taking his bag and key and heading to his room.
He looks over his shoulder, "And Beedo, if you want to work on the armor, you know where to go."
Devin smiles. "I will respect your wishes D, the offer stands though should you change your mind."
He then turns to Lukian. "Lukian! Are we sharing a room?"
Devin will pay for the room for the night, a private room if Lukian declines.
He'll head up to the room and plans to leave his stuff there. He then hesitates, reluctant to leave his gear behind. He changes his mind and takes it with him and then meets up with the others to head for the lord protector's home.
Beedo screws his face up as if restraining himself, then lets out a defeated huff. "Yeah... yeah.. Wait. So, your room 'en? At least fer work'n? 'nd we'ze start'n now 'nd stay'n, or...?"He asks, leaving Vark and D.O.R.K to get Golemogote settled in the stables. Once the two return, Vark pay for a shared room for both him and Beedo to share. But aside from leaving his pack behind, Vark keeps his arms and armor on hand, and waits outside with D.O.R.K for the rest for the journey.

Lukian gives Devin a nod. "If you like." He produces a gold coin and gives it to Nemyth and follows the human to their room. Instead of settling in, Lukian stares distractedly at nothing until Devin awkwardly tells the elf he's heading back to the others, and Lukian follows.
Devin heads back down and outside. Lukian seemingly follows him. He finds D and Vark at least outside.
"Anyone else coming or are they staying here? It's getting late in the day. Let's see if we can meet this lord protector or at least arrange a meeting for tomorrow. "
If no one else shows up (or i missed someone who is there) he'll head for the lord protectors home.

At the Lord Protector's Tower - Sunset (6 pm), Day 3, Third Ten-day, Month of Eleasis
Having seen Golemogote safely stabled, the party (sans Beedo and Toruun) led by Devin and D.O.R.K. with Vark bringing up the rear heads up the Long Road towards the two story building that Neymith had pointed out as being the residence and work-space of the Lord Protector. As they approach the tower (G7) they see that it is a simple stone keep with battlements on the roof; probably surrounding a fighting platform. Surrounding the tower is a large marketplace but most of the stores are closing up as it is getting close on sunset. The keep faces onto the market square and above the entrance a banner depicted three black running boars on a blood red field is hanging. Standing in front of what appears to be two extremely solid wooden doors are two humans dressed in splint mail embossed with the running boar symbol and armed with halberds.

One of the Guards turns and goes inside the doors. Shortly afterwards he comes out and says "the Lord Protector will see you!"
As the party starts to make its way inside, the Guards realise that the small creature at the back they had perhaps taken for some sort of Halfling is in fact a Goblin. "Hang on! What's that"one of the Guards pointing with its Halberd at Vark "doing with you?" At the same time the other guard bars the doorway with its Halberd.

Vark, for his part, doesn't draw a weapon in turn. He just glares down the point of the Halberd to the guard pointing at him, then gives D.O.R.K a wary sidelong glance. Having stood and kept to the side of Vark for such an eventuality, the constructs eyes turn red as she stares daggers at the guard. "His /name/ is Vark One-finger-less, and he is an acolyte of the Lady of Battle, the Red Knight. Not a /that/."At that point she steps up just closer to the guard directly threatening Vark, daring him -- if albeit incidentally -- to challenge her words.
"And he's with me... Now I get yaw'll are just doing yer do diligence. Even respect it a litta." She says, tone shifting to the swagger of her teacher. The guard grins at D.O.R.K.'s attempt to speak 'country yokel' and turns to the other guard and asks "yo, does youse reckon we really speak like that." To which the other guard replies "nah we speaks nuttin' like dat at all, the blokes up the road at Longsaddle might, them being 'ill folks an' all, they talk a bit strange."
At Devin's support of Vark, the first guard says "well I'll be a Goblin working for the good guys, that a turn up for the books. Bet nobody saw that comin'. All right' 'e can come in but 'e better not pinch the silver."
The party enters the ground floor of the keep. This floor is obviously set up primarily as a meeting hall. Towards the back of the room there is a large circular table with twelve chairs. On the left (south) and right (north) hand sides of the room two staircases go up to what you assume is the second floor and underneath the stair cases, you can see a series of benches neatly stacked. The wall of the room are adorned with banners, some of which are a bit tattered as well as being stained. Against the far wall you can see two desks and sitting at one of them is middle-aged woman with dirty blonde hair and a slender build. She stands up as the party enters and in an accent that Devin recognises as distinctly Waterdhavian says "welcome to Triboar. How can I help you?"
