Seeing 2 of his party members falling she will healGraximus for 78HP (70+8 life cleric). He then restore some of Talon wounds with *Balm of the Summer Court*(BA: Druid Feat) 54HP + 14 Temporaly HP depleting her reserve pool.
Charles takes a few steps and launches another Fireball at Ooguay:
-> Ooguay's DEX saving throw vs. Fireball {DC 18}: 14 (plus the always forgotten d4: 2 for a total of 16) - the celestial once again taps into his Legendary Resistance to ignore same of the flames (Ooguay - CMD: 279).
(@Nox: For Balm of the Summer Court, you can only spend up to 7 dice at a time. You can't use all the dice at once. So, for the purposes of healing Talon, I'll take into account the first 7 dice rolled above. The other 7 will be ignored.)
Nox begin treating her fallen companions. Both Graxximus (78 HP) and Talon (27 HP) regain consciousness, but remain prone.
Graxx will wobble up to standing feeling the life return.
Graxx then says breathing heavily in a raspy but determined voice, "Tempus will have his vengeance for the fallen!"
Movement: Graxx will fly as close as he can to Ooguay. If he cannot attack he will take the dash action to get closer. IF Graxx can attack please scroll down to most recent post.
Le'gal growls behind closed lips after batting away the flames of shadow from her form. "Now dragons? No time. No time. At all."She marches forth using her long limbs to step over Charles along the way and get a better eye on the room. She suppresses a shudder seeing the dragon in full, and focuses on those that remain, considering her next move. For a fallen Ooguay, she shouts out in giant, "Endure!"to the group. Afterwards, she took up a more defensive posture ready to meet any attacks aimed in her direction.
Movement: To EK-8(or EL, if necessary to see everyone).
Bonus Action: Possibility #1(if Ooguay be dead):
Le'gal Casts Mass Healing Word on Le'gal, Sparklegem, Sigil, Talon, Nox, and Charles, restoring 11 HP.
Possibility #2(if Ooguay not be dead):
Expending last of Le'gal's Embodiment of Law Charges to Cast (5th level)Sins Exposed, inflicting 29 psychic damage, and target spends reaction to move away from Le'gal. Wisdom Save DC 15 to save for half, and have the choice to use reaction to move a direction.
Action:Le'gal Casts Expose Guilt(DC 15 Wis Save for none), inflicting 5 on Ooguay(if alive) or one of the Battle Angels(if not).
Talon sputters and coughs after the ordeal with the flying circus. "Are they gone yet? I should have known better than to abandon my defenses!" He tries to look around quickly and survey the situation which turns out to be not that different from when he passed out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Graxximus flies toward Ooguay, gaining altitude as he goes. His enhanced speed allows him to reach his foe and still find the proper stance to swing his newly acquired mace once, catching the celestial's other elbow. Ooguay is panting (Ooguay - CMD: 301).
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Graxximus' turn)
Ooguay swings once again: "You are the one who is supposed to die!"
-> Maul (melee weapon attack with reach) vs. Graxximus: Attack: 39Damage: 26 magical bludgeoning.
The celestial's tiredness results in sluggish movements. Sped up by arcane means, Graxximus easily dodges the attack.
Ooguay swings one more time: "I said... You are the one who is supposed to die!"
-> Maul (melee weapon attack with reach) vs. Graxximus: Attack: 37 Damage: 35 magical bludgeoning.
This time, the celestial rocks the paladin's helm:
-> Graxximus' CON saving throw {DC 15}: 15 - For the second time, Graxximus just avoids losing his wits temporarily. That doesn't make the hit any less painful, though...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Talon is thinking defense but the others are scrambling and pointing at the huge and powerful blue man who seems to be on his last legs. Talon will unleash his divine talents at the creature:
Talon stands up and takes advantage of his long range spell capabilities and shoots three pew-pew-pews. Despite bending the weave to his will, Talon's first shot misses, but it still serves the purpose of helping the sorcerer measure the distance to his target more accurately. The next two shots hit their mark. The first of the accurate shots burns through Ooguay's chest. As he looks down to access the damage, the second accurate shot swoops from below to carve another hole, this one on his forehead. Nearby, Graxximus can hear the arcane sizzle coming from the wounds. Ooguay's shoulders relax a second before his massive frame loses its fight against gravity. He falls a full 60 feet before hitting the fields hard. A splat of holy blood confirms the kill (Ooguay - CMD: 321 -> DEFEATED).
Talon then creates another three Talons, and somehow they all occupy the same 5x5 space.
"He killed our general!" an Angel screams. "That's adding insult to injury!" another responds. Even if fiendish magic wasn't reason enough, this certainly is. They switch their stance to a two-handed grip, and then all swoop on Talon. They grin knowingly with satisfaction when they notice the dwarf is attempting to fool them with illusions (as hinted by Sparklegem earlier):
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 14Damage: 37 (of which: 12 is slashing and 25 is radiant damage).
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 15Damage: 27 (of which: 10 is slashing and 17 is radiant damage).
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 17Damage: 35 (of which: 13 is slashing and 22 is radiant damage).
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 26 Damage: 28 (of which: 12 is slashing and 16 is radiant damage).
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 20 Damage: 28 (of which: 5 is slashing and 23 is radiant damage).
-> Longsword (one-handed melee weapon attack) vs Talon: Attack: 15Damage: 26 (of which: 8 is slashing and 18 is radiant damage).
Expecting the attack, Talon manages to block most of the emotionally-led slashes. A couple of the attacks sneak by, but Talon throws up a last minute Shield to avoid one of them at least (reference).
The Angels fly away to safety, 60 feet up in the air and spread out (same placement as in the latest initiative tracker post).
Sparklegem blows a smoke-elephant out off his pipe. It moves very realistically:
-> Sparklegem's randomness die: 91
"These angels as just like the beetles... buzzing around annoyingly!" He commands his dragon to spit at them, only missing Talon due to the altitude difference.
-> INT saving throws all around {DC 19}. On a failure, they take 28 necrotic damage, or 14 on a success:
There is no sign of two of the Angels, their armor, or weapons, once the dragon's black shadow breath clears the air. The only surviving Angel (the one at space {ES17}, 60 feet up in the air) looks at Talon with feverish hate (whether he is conscious or not): "This is all your fault, fiend!"
The following information will help determine the actual outcome of the attacks on Talon. These will need to be determined one at a time because hitting the Mirror Images can eliminate them.
Attack #1 Mirror Image roll (1-5 attacks Talon, 6-20 will attack an image): 19 -- The first attack eliminates one image (all image ACs are 13 and any hits destroy one)
Attack #2 Mirror Image roll (1-7 attacks Talon, 8-20 will attack an image): 9 -- The second attack destroys another image
Attack #3 Mirror Image roll (1-10 attacks Talon, 11-20 will attack an image): 16 -- The third attack destroys the last image
Talon will respond with magical resistance in order to avoid damage and this should be enough to avoid the 5th attack but not the 4th attack. Talon remains up and conscious but is clearly hurting and staggered.
"Hold still, Talon."Le'gal calls to Talon as she made her way over to EO-11. In a matter of moments, she breaks out her healer's kit and sets to work at patching his wounds with salve and bandages. Assuming, that is, the illusions don't prevent her from getting ahold of the right one. "Grixx! Hurry on."She calls up to him.
Action: Le'gal Casts Healer's Healing on Talon, restoring 23 HP.
