(@Smullzilla - You can roll a second attack roll separately in the future so that I can easily grab the right one based on the shield bash result. You can put the second one in parentheses even, if that makes sense.)
The construct backpedals away from Titus' thrusting shield, putting it perfectly in range for a blow from his battleaxe. The metal chest dents significantly on the strike but it stays standing. Morphis waiting behind Titus' attack with a perfectly timed blast of force that contorts the construct's leg and it falls to the ground. The construct whirs, still gripping its rapier and dagger. It waves the former at everyone threateningly to keep their distance.
(The construct is at 1 HP and is prone at this point. It is clear that the construct does not care to end the fight, though.)
Mal prepares to dodge if the construct attacks him.
(Malcan override this if he posts in the next couple of hours.)
The construct swipes its rapier at Lanieland Titus, then tries to stab Rethanin the foot with its dagger (all rolls with disadvantage).
Rapier Attack against Laniel: 15 Damage: 10
Rapier Attack against Titus: 21 Damage: 5
Dagger Attack against Rethan: 20 Damage: 8
(Any future attacks aimed to not kill the construct will be treated like a shove or a disarm attack in that they won't do damage but may impose other effects on the enemy.)
Rethan follows up Laniel's shots with his own attempt to disarm the construct, striking at the hand holding the dagger with his glaive. Then he drops the glaive behind him and snatches up the dropped rapier before the nimblewright can pick it back up.

"Enough!" Mal will shout. "Your arms are dissed! Surrender before you hurt yourself. We don't want to harm you - we just want to know what happened. If you continue to resist, we will turn your corpse over to the Watch."
Titus raises his axe, but hold off to see if the construct will listen to Mal. He positions himself between them so he can use his shield to impose disadvantage in case the construct strikes out again at Mal.

The construct looks at Mal, slowly processing his words. With no mouth of his own to respond, he merely looks at his twisted limbs and dented torso, then back at Mal. He nods at an awkward diagonal angle, although it isn't clear exactly at what part of Mal'sstatement. It climbs awkwardly to its feet. And without warning, it lunges at Mal, slashing twice with the dagger, which it seems to have picked back up off the ground, and then once at Morphwith its clenched fist!
Dagger Attack 1 (at disadvantage, against Mal): 7 Damage: 5

Realizing that the construct was not going to surrender and they didn't appear to be able to knock it unconscious, not to mention that it had no mouth to tell them anything anyway, Rethan lets out a heavy sigh. Tossing the rapier behind himself, he summons his glaive back to his hands and strikes out at the construct with it.
The construct collapses to the ground and the whirring and grinding of its joints quiets. The five adventurers stand in a rough circle around the defeated creature in silence until Laniel speaks. "It did not want to live. It agreed to Mal's conditions and resisted."
Morphfinds the nimblewright to be holding a magical dagger and a map and the the rapier, which also appears magical, he retrieves from across the alley.
The map is of the City of the Dead, the large cemetery that separates the South and North wards. On the map is an X, next to it is written, "Cassalanter". On the back it reads, "Bel, deliver the stone to the mausoleum marked on the map. Go quickly and quietly! - Y"
Morph, Rethan, and Titusknow the name Cassalanter. Victoro Cassalanter is a wildly successful banker and businessman. He is said to be a devout follower of Lathander. Some of his profits go to feeding and sheltering the poor.
As Rethanis explaining who the Cassalanters are to Lanieland Mal, eight city watch arrive to the scene, obviously drawn by the disturbance with Bel.
"Oi,"says the lead watchperson. "What's this about? Are you fightin' in the streets here? Are you Zhentarim?"
Rethan shakes his head to the lead watchperson. "No, we are not Zhentarim. Several of us are Gray Hands. He's with the Lord's Alliance," he waves a hand at Titus. "We believe this construct is the one responsible for the recent explosion in Trollskull Alley."
"This thing?" says the lead watchperson, giving it a kick. "Well, then you done the city a service. I heard that thing was working with the Zhents." He turns to another watchperson. "Torgo, Drag this thing back to the North Ward. I think they have all the evidence for that Trollskull Alley attack stored there."
"Aw, come on," Torgo starts to say.
"And then you can call it a day and go see your new son," says the lead watchperson.
The amended order seems to please Torgo, who scoops up the construct and carries it away. A few of the other city watch look a little jealous. 'Don't worry, lads" says the lead watchperson. "We'll be calling it a day ourselves right soon."
Five watchpersons interview the adventurers briefly, and not terribly thoroughly as they do not even bother asking about the map, then everyone is dismissed.
Laniel, looking at the map, addresses his partners. "Are we ready to try this now?"

If the construct is still functional, Morph takes another shot at it, aiming for the legs, to try not to "kill" the construct.

Laniel attempts to disarm the construct by striking its wrists, first against the dagger wielding arm and then agains the rapier wielding arm.
