Following the cocksure steps of Hermenor it’s increasingly obvious how much you stick out in your clothes and armor; not to mention the bear. As you get closer and closer to the merchant quarter the clothes shift back to more fully covered and mixed styles. It’s clear travelers stick to the dockside or join in the customs of the people and get clothing that matches to go in the city. You all do begin to feel uncomfortable in your armor with the heat and humidity. Honeyton is having difficulty adjusting to the heat, armor, and city atmosphere. Along the walls are rounded circular towers. Passing through an archway the sky open up a bit from all the buildings and walls. Standing at the top of some steps you look onto the Dock Ward. Ships of every size line up and down the harbor. The much bigger freights wait out in the distance in the deeper water. Here you will find the Three Pelicans Inn, dock master, guard house, merchants, local workers.
Looking to the left you see another round circular tower with a large crystal floating on the top. This is the Tower of Light. Acting as both cathedral and light house. As opposed to the other towers of stone and clay earthy colors. This tower is bright white, the southern side of the tower is covered in a dark green spongy sea moss. The side that faces the water.
OOC:I’d say Hermenor’s attire is very fitting to his surroundings here in Water’s Edge. He doesn’t wear any armor.
Hermenor will lead the group through a walk by the docks, keeping an eye out to see if he recognizes the faces of any old friends or if he hears someone calling out his name.
If not, he will walk into a familiar tavern and do the same. If needed, Hermenor will vouch for his friends, including the Professor, of course.
Walking through the Dock award. Nobody shouts out Hermenor’s name but he hears the familiar shouting and general light chaos of the boat hands docking and unloading mixed with the merchants peddling their wares. It’s a contrast of high paced noise mixed with the smooth rolling of the ebb and flow of the waves coming in. Walking in the the Sea n’ Stars Tavern and Inn. Hermenor sees a familiar looking Water Genasi behind the bar. Fixing spirits with a large array of tropical plants behind her, ready to eat. There is a long bar and several tables. The tavern is about half full. A few heads turn and stop to see Honeyton. But generally disregard when he starts to talk.
Hermenor shouts: “Five Eyes of the Storm for me and my friends, salty Alia, and I mean the real ones with octopus eyes in the glass!” The elf opens a big smile and moves closer to the bar counter, arms wide open. Once Alia hugs him back, Hermenor whispers something in her ear that causes her to break the hug and push him back a bit, jovially.
He laughs and continues: “These here are my new brothers in arm, Alia. This is Priton, the noblest of dragonborns. Next to him is Ragnir, his devotion inversely proportional to his height. Over on this side you’ll see Tyr, a cat that is as deadly as he is fuzzy; and Professor Honeyton, a bear that is as fuzzy as he is deadly.”
He pauses for a moment: “Everyone, this is Alia Tiderunner, wetter than the drinks she serves and saltier than the sea whence she came.”Hermenor laughs loudly and heartily. It’s the first time the group sees him act so happy.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alia laughs “Hermenor was always good at ordering shite drinks, but don’t worry I’ll get something for you all.” She turns around and starts to make some drinks. As she is doing so she takes an orange and throws it at Hermenor without looking.
Hermenor Dex Save - 12
While Hermenor is looking at the party he catches it without looking as well.
she turns around with 5 drinks swirling with blue and yellow. She waves her hand over them as the mist starts to form and condense. Turning the drinks into an icy mixture. “Always better when it’s cold, enjoy loves. First one on the house.” As she gives a wink. “So What brings you back in town.... with a bear?”
Honeyton at this point is sniffing the drink while trying to manage a straw for the first time. Eventually begins to lap up the drink. Before “Aaaaarrrrrgghh, why does this drink hurt my head?” As he lies down on the floor, knocking tables and chairs out of the way.
"Nice to meet ya's Alia, were lookin for some of the more sinister types of unsavory people." Priton says as he discreetly shows the crest "They've been doing some not so nice things around our guild house and we think some may be around here." Priton says as he goes over to Honeyton and comforts him as he sits him up

“Aye, it is as Priton says. We are keeping our eyes open for suspicious types that are perhaps carrying dark, cursed rocks around. Have you seen or heard of corrupted lands or bodies of water nearby? Any strange news you can share, dear Alia?”
Alia stops at the mention of cultists. But only has a confused face. “The only thing that’s been rumored lately is that people are going missing. The guard isn’t tracking it if it is true because it’s random and hard to tell if it’s real or ain’t. People leaving town and hopping on boats all the time. Seems pretty normal to me.”
"These cultists are also known to kidnap people, dear Alia. What more can you tell us about these disappearances?" Hermenor's tone is a bit more serious now. He is hoping Alia will notice it. The elf has not yet touched his drink, but is eyeing it with full intention of drinking it shortly.
She continues to make some drinks for other customers “Sorry, Hon. I don’t know much about it. Like I said it’s only rumors. And they says it’s only the sailors gone missin’ Not like a bunch of families lookin’ for them. Wish I could help.” She shrugs at the last line before turning back to give the drinks she just made to another patron. “Looks like you’re looking into something at least. Where you stayin’?”
She puts her hands on her hips while flipping a rag over her shoulder. “Well that’s up to you, but if y’all wanna stay here I can cut’chya a discount. Pay for the rooms but eat for free. Well except maybe not this fella, no harm meant Honey.” She tosses a smile at the group.
"Even with no free food for the Professor, I thinkthis is a good deal, mates." Hermenor says, ready to book a room right here. "We can always visit the Three Pelicans, right?"

There are also taverns and dock people Hermenor would be familiar with.
