(@Hydra: Not sure if you needed a perception check from everyone or not, but just in case..)
Othokent's Perception: 19.(if at disadvantage due to fog: 27)
Snake Eater's Perception: 15. (if at disadvantage due to fog: 10) (Blindsight 10ft)
With fog having rolled in, Othokent keeps to the plan, but exchanges bow and arrows for shield and handaxe. Furthermore, he limits ranging ahead to remain in at least view of the head wagon of the caravan.

The caravan progresses on as you all finish your preparation. Occasional shapes in the fog or rustlings in the swamp bring one or more of you over to investigate, but nothing seems to be amiss for the next hour. Roughly twenty minutes beyond that, however, Tolroc notices deviations in the road's surface as he sweeps ahead of the caravan. The dirt looks as if it has been somewhat recently disturbed by a large burrowing creature.
Assuming that we are told by Tolroc about what he has seen, Elnrog will message back to Alton. He will proceed forward walking in front of the first wagon paying attention to the ground, and checking any disturbed dirt with his sword.....
"Swamp Burrow. Swamp Goblins?" Othokent mutters to himself. Seeing or sensing Elnrog move ahead to investigate, the lizardfolk hisses something, prompting Snake Eater to shadow the swordsman. As she hardly needed her vision quite as much as he to navigate the fog, the reptile slips in and out of the side of his vision until they reach their disturbance. It is there she looks up towards him expectantly some five or ten feet off to the side, but otherwise refrains from getting any closer than he.
While waiting she tastes the air and tries to feel any vibrations in the ground and muck for any lingering scents of predators or prey lying in wait.
Elnrog was walking close enough to probe the disturbance with his sword....assuming it is on the road and in the path of the caravan. He will not leave the road.
(Sorry all. I missed the alert that there were no posts to this thread.)
Tolroc would indeed tell everyone of what he saw. He'll signal for the caravan to halt and leave Bill with the caravan joining the others checking out the disturbance in the road. He will stay back about 20 feet from Elnrog.
As you move next to the disturbance, the ground begins to rumble for a second before a large, armored figure bursts out of the ground beneath your feet, clamping down it’s jaws around your midriff and grappling you (if it hits).
Attack: 27 Damage: 55
The rest of you see this huge creature burst out of the ground, clamping solidly around Elnrog’s waist. Although it seems to meld in with the rest of the creature at first, some sort of rider sits atop the beast, raising it’s lance and giving a war cry.
(Question: If Tolroc casts polymorph on the creature clamped on Elnrog, and it fails its save, would that free Elnrog? Of course other actions may come before mine and cause me to do something different.)
(I'll post now, and of course the action will go after Taluvus)
Tolroc pulls out his flute and seeks to bring calm and hope to the party, and to do something about the nasty creature. Flute tune
Directing the music toward Elnrog to begin with his attempts to raise his spirits, (Bonus action: Bardic inspiration 1d10 inspiration die)
He then directs the music toward the creature holding Elnrog in is mouth and believes it needs a more soothing form; a small white rabbit will do. (Action casts polymorph on the creature. WIS save DC 16)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alton runs to join Elnrog next to the disgruntled rider who stands beside the now-bunny, leaping on him with twin daggers drawn.
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Attack: 24 Damage: 4
Sneak Attack Damage: 29
Both attacks manage to connect, dealing a total of 34 damage. The rider, now even more disgruntled, turns to the pitful creature that used to be the bulette. Standing overtop of it, he stabs it with his spear (5 damage carries over). The rider remounts the land shark as it belows, throwing the spear at Alton.
12 Perception roll.

If Othokent receives the same notice...

(@Hydra: For the sake of argument for her perception roll, unless Elnrog gets closer, she starts looking around for danger at the 20ft mark.)

Attack: 19 Damage: 13
Both attacks hit the monster, dealing a total of 23 Piercing.
Saving throw resolving the Polymorph: 12
