Othokent eyes Talvus dubiously for a split second, and then shook it off. An expert at fighting in the swamp, the Lizardfolk calmly waited for the inevitable misstep from the rider. Then with practiced ease, a shot goes out, intentionally clipping the rider near cheek or shoulder to distracting for a moment. "Now! Short one!"He commands, forgoing the second shot to compel Alton to action. He never leaves the caravan side by much to make the shots.
Meanwhile, a hesitant Snake Eater starts to go for the rabbit, but thinks better of it to slither up to the riders foot before rising and nearly towering over the ambusher.
(@Hydra: Indeed! Darn my speed reading yet again! Hmm...)
(If Alto can no longer reach the rider, then his reaction sneak attack can go on the Creature instead. Otherwise, I'd keep things as is there.)
(For his surge round attacks, if there is no chance he can't knock the rider prone/off using the Trip Maneuver, then he'll use the 'Pushing Attack' Maneuver to force a check to potentially knock said rider 15 feet away/off his mount. Same save type/DC for it. And if successful, Snake Eater will still move to bite the rider instead of approaching the creature.)
(And if not possible altogether due to distance or what-have-you, Otho would have snake eater direct her attack on the creature instead)

Elnrog call down thunder on both rider and beast adding lightening damage that springs from his body as he seems to glow with crackling energy., immediately taking to the air after wards and flying 10' back and out of reach.
A wave of thunderous force sweeps out from you. Each creature in a 15-foot cube originating from you must make a DC17 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed.
In addition crackling energy reached out from Elnrog hitting both rider and mount for an additional 5 damage. (Heart of the StormSCAG, pg. 52)
The rider is hit by the full force of your spell and is blown backwards, succumbing to a combination of the spell and Othokent (and friends)’s assault.
The creature (Save: 18) withstands the blast with it’s large size and weight, but still takes 12 Damage.
Hugolina, seeing the onset of panic in the creature’s eyes, commands it to “stay” (Save: 20), but the adrenaline keeps the command from going through.
The creature makes a snatch at Alton:
Attack: 17 Damage: 33
And clamps down, grappling him. It then dives underground, leaving a sizable hole, but taking your compatriot with it. Top of the order is up
Taluvus goes charging into the tunnel. About 20 feet down it takes a sharp turn, but Taluvus does not. Half blind, he smashes into the wall, falls prone, and spends the rest of his turn getting back on his feet.
Elnrog will do his best to try to catch his breath and adjust his broken rib......
Second Wind 9 hit points gained Bonus Action
Using the light from his sword (Previously cast), he will jump into the tunnel and attempt to follow the beast carrying Alton. If he can get with in 15' range he will reach out with his hand not holding the sword and cast Lightning Lure for 10 damage on a failed DC17 strength save and the creature is pulled 15 back towards him.
Tolroc looks in shock for a moment as he sees Alton pulled underground. Watching Talvus jump into action shakes him out of it, and spurs him to action. He draws his rapier, touches the tip, and says, "Light". His rapier tip begins glowing with a soft, white light. He then follows Talvus as quickly as his small legs will carry him.
(Mechanically, uses his action to cast the light cantrip on the tip of his rapier and then uses his movement to follow Talvus. His move is 25', and he was about 60' from where the initial attack took place, so he won't make it to the hole yet unless the battle shifted closer to him.)
(@All: Just realized since the Rider is down, its all our turn now. Heh.)
"This one shall remain up here on guard. Be swift, soft skins!" He calls down into the hole after the others. Glancing back to the caravan to see if any other disturbance arose, Othokent eventually sends Snake Eater to do a quick recon along its length while he examined the body. Markings, emblems, a vaguely familiar scent -- such and more are free game in his search to discern if the Rider belonged to a larger group, or merely a rogue.

Elnrog: You don't quite get close enough to the creature, the darkness and uneven footing prevent you from moving at a full sprint.
Alton attempts to wriggle out of the grip of the monster holding him.

Bulette's Athletics: 11
The bulette keeps its hold.
Hugolina stays above the surface with Othokent, keeping watch while the others chase down the creature.
The creature bites down on the squirming man in its grasp once more as it continues to burrow.
Othokent slips note away to read later, and starts the process of taking off any armor the rider had on him. He doesn't get too far when a thought occurs, resulting in Snake Eater being called in to follow the others down the hole. "You do well, and you get first piece this time. Promise." If snakes could smile, Snake Eater did so just then before eagerly making her way down.
