"You're tied to these events more closely than I realized. That explains why Fumbles was so quick to trust you. He must have known..." Roccar ponders. He gives directions to Brineboots' Apothecary and gives you a place to meet him when you are ready to investigate the safe house.
Ten minutes later, Zane has completed his ritual casting.
For Zane:
Everyone's equipment seems to be radiating magically as it did before the events of last night.
OOC: Added Trelanna's gem to the Hox's inventory.
Where to now? You have directions to Brineboots' Apothecary along with a note from Ritska, and directions to meet Roccar when you are ready to investigate the scene of the crime.
Killian will pick up the tiger cub. Does it have a collar? Does that collar have a name stitched on it? Does the cub have any signs of mistreatment? She's curious about why she would have stolen it.
To Roccar, "Perhaps you should keep this? It might attract attention on the streets."

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Zane says, "Lets go get cured or something and postpone decisions after that. I would bring the tiger cub.. maybe we can find a place to buy milk and meat on the way for him? her? to eat."
Roccar can't help but grin as Killian holds the tiger cub at arm's length. "It seems to be rather tame. I can keep it safe while you are investigating," he offers.
OOC: Are Killian and Hox on board with Gruun and Zane, who seem interested in heading to the apothecary first?
Hox tries to move but finds himself heavier to move as the coins in his pockets cling together. Hox tries to move once more, as he takes a single step with difficulty. Then he tries to fly, which leads him to fall under the weight. He takes a look at his overfilled pockets then to Roccar. After a moment of mental debate, Hox empties his pockets of gold, "Clan man...take care of Hox's hoard?" He gives up his gold to go along with the team to the apothecary.
Killian will give up the tiger cub to Roccar's care. She's not really the type to make attachments. Useful pets, maybe, but this one is still in the cuddly stage.
She will accompany everyone to the apothecary, because Exhaustion is exhausting.

The brisk air of the sea greets you outside. The docks of the city are active with workers and crewmen, but the rest of the city seems rather quiet as you follow Roccar's directions. It seems out of place, but the directions lead you to a small house, little more than a shack, on the other side of the city. The sign reads:
Brineboots' Apothecary, Ministry, and Unlicensed Dentistry
Keeping an eye on passersby, Killian does not notice any obvious signs of anyone following the party, though on multiple occasions she sees small children skulking in the shadows of the alleyways. Whether they're members of the Schoolchildren or not is anyone's guess.
Gruun opens the door after receiving no reply. Inside the small building, a brown-haired dwarf in pirate garb with a mess of braids on the back of his head is in mid-conversation with an old human woman.
"I'm just worried, is all. I know with Malcolm gone, I don't really need it anymore, but it is my home, and I'm afraid it will feel like any connection I had to him is gone," she says as you enter the door.
"Your house will be put to quite good use for our tiny church, ma'am, I promise ye. The church--" the dwarf starts to reply. He rushes to his feet at the sight of the party.
"Aye, ye must be here for the serum. Here, here, one for the lot of ye," he exclaims, handing each of you a vial full of some brackish liquid.
The liquid does anything but make Killian and Zane feel better, burning their throats on the way down and making them quite woozy. In the time Hox has taken to sniff the mixture, both have fallen to the ground, wretching.
The dwarf begins to walk the old widow past them to the front door. "Alright then, ma'am, we'll meet to discuss the transaction again shortly, I've got some customers to take care of," he says, practically pushing her to the exit as she looks back in confusion.
Gruun sets the tincture down careful waiting for the Dwarf to return.
"That doesn't look like much of a cure to me. What is your intent with this?" Even exhausted Gruun idly grips his Greataxe while staring down the Dwarf.
"A cure? Why didn't ye say so!" The dwarf shouts, rushing to grab the vial back from Gruun, and giving an odd look to Hox as the kobold starts rubbing the tincture on his body.
"These, uh...these are expired, now I think about it, but we'll square ye, step into me office. Bohmar Brineboots, at your service. What can I help you with?" he asks, throwing no more than an apologetic look to Killian and Zane, seemingly uninterested in the paladin's drawn weapon.

Killian is not usually the most perceptive, but she will keep an eye out on the trip to see if they are attracting attention or are followed.
Perception (at Disadvantage for Exhaustion): 1

Gruun walks up and knocks heavily on the door. He'll open it after a few seconds if no one replies.

So does Zane.
Hox sniffs the tincture before downing it as well.

Zane is familiar with this shit and casts Lesser restoration on both himself and then Killian.
He is also ready with some additional magic in case Gruun does not get a satisfactory answer.
Killian is up with her sword out in a flash, as soon as Zane's spell has taken hold.

Hox rubs the tincture onto his scales. "Not drink? Rub on body?"
