"I have a mouse of my own," Gryffen says, pulling a brown rodent from his pocket and letting it run up his arm. "It's not tactically relevant but I do like to share Mr. Tickletoes when it won't cause a scream."
Counting something in her head for a second, Ophelia addresses Gryffen first. "I should be able to arrange a meeting for tomorrow night. Are you sure you want to spend all that time up there? If it were me, I'd wait until later tomorrow - no telling if anyone might be lucky enough to spot you during your wait."
Replying to Kai, a stern look crosses her face. "I will not have rodents of any sort nestled in any part of my clothing, more so when I know it's you! I will be carrying a small bag, which you may hide inside. If you're lucky, I might choose one that doesn't close completely."
I think a night time ascent would be the right move, take some food and cam out, you'll be fine, there is no reason for anyone to go up there as far as I can see. I'm sure his lordship will jump at the chance to spend some quality time with our lady here, we have our magically transmuted elf on the inside ready to go and I believe that only leaves us to decide how best to deploy Sir Bytan." Dejan sits back looking contentedly at the group.

"I am to accompany Ophelia, leave her to tour the museum whilst I occupy some guards, I assume you have paid the establishment for a private viewing Dejan ? No guards on the inside to see our ladies actions?" Looking across the table Gideon addresses Ophelia. "We will need to talk about your character, or at least how I came to be in your service. Out of interest what colours does your noble house wear?"
"Then we begin." Dejan says with a smile as he looks over the group. "Master Gryffen I suggest we get you in position in a few hours, use them for gathering anything you need and rehearsing your role in this with the others. I will go and make some last plans to make sure Ophelia's suitor is adequately prepared and that he thinks of bribing the guards, and I will return to you. I will not be doing this directly so nothing will be traced back but trust me when I say it will be done just as you request."

A short while later, as dinner is being cleared away Dejan returns to the group in their private room, his cloak is different, less well-made and showing evidence of hard use. He looks a little disheveled and seems less graceful and powerful somehow. Closing the door behind him he nods to the halfling. "Gryffen, I believe we are ready to take the first real steps in orchestrating the fall of Vais Dambargi. Will you join me for a stroll in this wonderful city you will be having a very nice view of shortly. Do you have everything? Actually, I know that you do not, I have brought you a small gift, we do not have many of these and I hope that it will serve you all as a group but you will have need of it more than the others in this part of the mission." He hands over a small package which Gryffen opens up to reveal a cloak which seems to blend into the material that had been covering it. "Kai's people out in the west have created cloaks like this one over the years in order to remain hidden when possible. I think it will serve well tonight, I doubt it will be necessary but obviously why take an unnecessary risk? Do not worry, once you wear it it will adjust to your size over a few minutes. Do not lose it, or damage it, it is a valuable tool." Waving to the others he opens the door to leave "I will see you all later, tomorrow will be interesting, let us catch up before you retire, in an hour or two once Master Knotwise is safely in place."
Outside Gryffen and Dejan walk in a slightly circuitous route for about fifteen minutes to the far side of the museum at an angle to let them get as close as possible without attracting attention. Dejan points towards a couple of guards ambling along the base of the tower and the pair watch as they move past. "I think it is time to show your ability my friend. I will wait until you have reached the top and then give you another few minutes to make sure that you do not need to retreat immediately. Good fortune to you, I will see you tomorrow when your notoriety will have suddenly become worthy of a raised eyebrow from a certain head of a certain thieves guild in Ameni." Patting the monk on the shoulder he steps back slightly into the shadows.

Gryffen admires the cloak as they walk. "This will keep me busy while I camp out tonight, attuning to its magic. Thank you."
As he watches the guards stroll by, Gryffen imagines the throw that will be necessary for the grapple and silk rope to clear the wall. Seeing his opening, he takes a deep breath and sneaks up to the wall as quietly as he is able.
Stealth: 28
His footsteps are perfectly silent, as far as the pale halfling can tell. He withdraws his coil of silk rope and grapple and prepares to throw by swinging the grapple loosely in his hands in a lazy circle as he judges the distance. With a gentle exhale, he tosses the grapple over the wall.
Athletics: 7
The grapple falls far short of its target and clatters off the wall and back to the ground. Acting quickly, he grabs the grapple and tries again, determined to make it this time.
Athletics: 6
His throw is no better. Taking his rope and grapple, he retreats back to the shadows and trees.
"It will take them some time to get back around. Nobody seemed to see you, there isn't really anybody around at the moment. Get back there and try again, I'll let you know ahead of time if anyone is coming." Dejan whispers as Gryffen returns "And I won't tell the others." He adds with a conspiratorial wink.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gryffennods and sneaks back to the back of the museum. He hoists the grapple and swings it in lazy circles, tightening the loop to spin it faster and faster. Trying to use the grapple's momentum, he times the release as carefully as possible.
Athletics: 15
The grapple clatters on the roof and the halfling pulls slowly on it until he feels it catch. Summoning his ki to increase his speed, Gryffenclimbs (using both movement and dash) to scale the wall in less than 12 seconds. Then he turns and rapidly begins to pull the silk rope up after him.
(If 14 wasn't enough on the athletics check, let me know.)
Gryffen sees the grapple catch and he wastes no time in making his way up the tower, his diminutive form rapidly ascending the shheer face and disappearing over the ledge. Dejan waits to see if he will immediately try to signal and so holds his position. Gryffen sees a plain roof sorrounded by a low wall about 2 feet high. The only thing of note is the small hatch in the that leads down to the target room, the hatch is about 3 feet wide and jas a pair of heavy looking hinges on one side. It has no locking mechanism on this side.

Dejan nods back to the monk and then slips away into the night heading back towards the Fountain a smile on his lips as the first part of the heist gets underway without a hitch.
Upon his arrival he rejoins the rest of the party "He is in position, undetected, hopefully the night will be mild, but I think his training will enable him to ignore the weather and he won't be seen from where he is. Are you all ready to begin tomorrow? We will be one of the last guests to enter, Ophelia's Lord will expect the place to be kept open for him, and the other patrons will leave shortly after Gideon and Ophelia arrive, with Kai in his transformed state. I arranged for a carriage to take you there, it will not pick you up from here but rather from a nearby Inn, called the Dove and Branch where you have a reservation for a late lunch. I will meet you there, Ophelia and Gideon, with Kai who will accompany me, we will eat, you will then be taken to the museum in the carriage once Kai has transformed discretely and you will enter together. After a short tour through the exhibition you will be shown into the annexe and our friendly Lord will expect privacy, Gideon will be expected to remain with the guards outside and then it will be over to you to stage this robbery. Take me through what you want to happen in detail, firming up our thoughts will help ensure we make no mistakes. If I have misunderstood anything please let me know, or if you think we need to make any last minute changes."
Dejan looks expectantly at the assembled group, awaiting their responses or their sign of being ready to proceed.
