Opposite of the board lies the forest, seemingly quant and silent. But even from here you can see the parties of elves and knights patrolling the edges, small groups go into the forest and soon enough you no longer see them, either due to distance or how the light disappears deeper in. You are prepared for your first expedition.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Latrius melts back into the shadows once more, disappearing more completely this time.

(Also, note: if any survival or such checks are required in the forest, Latrius is probably your best bet. I chose forest as his Natural Explorer choice, so he should pretty much just always have expertise.)

Alter shakes his head at the team name, but stops complaining about it. As he sees Latrius begin to head out, he motions for the others to do the same, "Let's get a move on. Time's a wasting."
In a much quieter sound so just the surrounding party members here, as Black cat follows his "friends" Black Cat squawks out in Rolend's and then Alter's voice, "Alpha Noobs, Time's wasting."
Then Black Cat will once more attempt to disappear into the shadows, every now and then moving and reaching out to gently brush up against a party member to let them know he is still around.

Sanzor enters the keep and takes a few quick glances around the room. Not seeing any active conversations, he settles into a chair in the corner. He takes out his spellbook and scribbles "Sanzor's Spellbook" in large, obvious letters on the cover. He begins to flip through the pages, holding the book up so that it is clearly visible to any interested parties, in hopes that he wouldn't have to be the one to make the first move.
The party approaches near the forest. Nearby are the few patrols going about the edges of the forest and among the lightly forested area, you can see a few rangers resting by trees. It seems this is a more tame part of the forest.
(Check to see if anyone wants to do last minute prep work. Currently Alter, Black and Latirus are in stealth.)

Davar is walking tall, arms swinging and his chest puffed out. It is very clear that he is excited. He has no intention of being stealthy, careful or aware.
"I hope we run into something soon. I'm itching to pop some skulls. Ahah!"
Latrius whirls around and fixes Davar with his odd, multicolored gaze.
"I suggest you let someone who actually knows what they're doing in a forest go first. That is, unless you wish to stumble into an ambush and die. Might increase our odds of survival."

Alter grins at the Goliath's lack of care, "I'm sure that every party has a use for a big, lumbering distraction. Might make everyone's job easier, and I'll be sure to come rescue you. Probably."
Latrius snorts softly.
"I suggest we keep in mind we may not have a choice what we kill. I say we start with what finds us first, no?"

Davar thinks about what Latrius said for a moment
"That is a fair point. Let's just pick a direction and get going then."

Suddenly appearing right next to Rolend, the "Black Beak" squawks out in Rolend's own voice, "Friends here! Go now"
The beak from under the cowl again starts to turn back and forth tilting its head listening to the sounds near and far.

As they draw near the forest, Alter scoops up a small stone and casts light on it before dropping it in his pocket.
Latrius will scan the forest, looking for any sign of an ambush or tracks.
