Again Gilbert slams the cultist (D) with an orb of power and the man screams in pain as the lightning hits him!
Whistler strikes out at the man before him and stabs him with his blade
Tibi swoops in and takes his revenge on the Cultist that commanded him and kills him.
Darvin slashes the Fanatic (H) skewering him deeply. He then pivots and cuts at the other cultist as well but they both remain standing though both are now severely injured.
Cultist (B) slashes back at Darvin while screaming about the Dead Three and how they will get their revenge on your souls
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
The fanatic is also muttering about how your souls will be be taken to Avernus and the how the cult of the Dead Three will overcome!
As the cultist slashes at him, Darvin is not able to dodge the blow, but he does manage to perform a quick motion with his hand, causing a shimmering barrier to appear in front of him momentarily, which absorbs the force of the cultist's blade (casting shield making his AC 24 until his turn)
OoC: I should double check that this is ok... I believe you had said in our other game, Paladin, that you don't worry about hands-full casting in games you DM. I've been operating under the assumption that that's true here, but if not, that's fine too (Darvin has rapier and shield, and can use his rapier as a spell focus, but RAW can't cast shield since it doesn't have a material component).
Tibi looks over at the remaining cultists as he casually spears "D" with his rapier "well there are three of you left but somehow I don't think you're the dread three as you are just simply dreadful!"

I'm good. I'm pretty lax about spell components and hands. The only thing I really care is if the spell consumes a valuable component you need to have acquired it ahead of time.
Tibi half flies, half hops to the square directly behind cultist B and thrusts both rapiers toward its back - First Attack: 20 Damage: 5 +6 | Second Attack: 10 Damage: 6
OoC: I suppose it's a bit late for this, but it occurs to me that since Darvin used a blade flourish last round against cultist H and then got a crit, he maybe should have done an extra d6 (4) damage then? I'm not entirely sure whether blade flourish bonus damage dice are doubled on a crit, but I think Paladin smites are, and this has similar mechanics. May not matter (and even if it did, I didn't call it at the time), but if it would have killed him then he couldn't have hit Whistler with that huge inflict wounds.
"Man you are tough!" Gil would shout as the cultist remains standing after both orbs am into his body. The small verdan would then fire a beam of ice towards the cultist as he cast ray of frost.

Yes that would have been extra dice for damage as well.
As Tibi cuts the cultist down the fanatic starts to sway and lose consciousness. Darwin's attack was more potent then originally thought and the man suddenly falls dead as he tries to reach out and touch Whistler. His fingers just miss the Kenku and the energy of his spell dissipates as he dies.
Whistler just avoids the power of the fanatics spell and is thus not injured by it.

"Well.... those guys were rude.. " Gil would say looking to the others. "I wonder if they had anyting useful that could help us to find our missing girl..'The Verdan would say as he moves from cultist to cultist, collecting anything of importance or of value. "Let me know what you all find so I can add it to my logs alright?" He would say with a serious look as he pulls out his book and begins to record his findings.
Darvin approaches the door to the small room. Before opening it he calls through it, "Ms. Bormuls? We're here to help. I'm going to open the door, okay?" He then waits for a response. If there is no response or there is an encouraging one, he opens the door (if it's not locked, at least).
After placing the 15 gold in his pouch, Gilbert would get to his feet and scramble across the room. "Let's see if our missing person is in this room. I sure hope she is alright. Those people were very rude.." He would say as he kicked one of the bodies on his way to the door. He once at the door he would try to open it.
Inside the office are several sleeping mats and another fire barrel. There is also an open manhole cover of sorts with a ladder leading down into a basement or possibly sewers. Pickaxe sounds can be heard from somewhere down this hole.
"Ah, looks like it's not as easy an in-and-out operation as it looked when we came in the front door," Darvin says. "I guess we're going in that hole there... Let's hope we don't get fecal matter on ourselves."
He casts light on his shield and, shines it down the hole to do a quick check for immediate hazards before leading the way down.
You don't see anything as you look down. Climbing down the sewers are dimly lit from lanterns and lead to a junction room.
At least the sewers do not smell like crap, only musty and dank, like a moldy basement. The faint sounds of mining lead down a path dimly lit by several hanging lanterns. Everything seems to lead to a well-lit junction room of sorts where you can hear men talking in muffled sounds. A noisy underground river and some pickaxe sounds block most of what is said, but it sounds like a few people talking about going to hunt something for dinner.
Peeking into the chamber you see a larger room maybe 30x30ft with 2 other tunnels like the one you came from leading out of it. The one leading upstream has been boarded off and blocked with several large rocks. Water streams out of the barricade and flows down into another tunnel presumably emptying into the ocean somewhere. The room is divided into 3 sections by channels formed to allow the water to flow. Each channel is 5ft deep and 5ft across. Several planks have been placed across to allow walking. The far side of the room contains a few sleeping mats and a table where the people are sitting that you heard from the hall.
You see 3 men at the table, at least one has a red robe like the others upstairs.

Tibi (35/35), Gilbert (30/30), Darvin (31/31), Whistler (2/35), Cultist B (4), Cultist Fanatic H (29)
The cultist connects with Darvin and draws blood while the fanatic grabs Whistler and the burning pain of the wound nearly overcomes him!

Darvin continues fencing with the cultist next to Whistler (H), trying to poke additional holes in his body.
Attack: 27 Damage: 16
OoC: Ok, so apparently Darvin is born to fight cultists. Or, at least, this particular cultist. Two crits in a row!
If the cultist somehow yet lives, Darvin will heal Whistler (2nd level slot): 9

You check the bodies but don't find much of value. About 15 gold pieces total. Nothing else is found.
