Otrov confirms that it’s not locked or trapped. “Hey Margey, you don’t look so hot.” She looks at Margret and Dain accusingly. “Hey! We’re you guys drinking wine without me? No fair!” Pouring a little, she says “Shall we?”Nodding at the door.
After you checked the door carefully for traps and couldn‘t find any, you slowly open it, ready for any kind of surprise ( at least you think you are). The next room has a bed on your left side next to the door (on the other side of the wall of the chimney), a washstand in the north east corner, a window faceing east and one facing north to the backyard, a wardrobe in the northwest corner and a small desk on the western wall, next to the bed. Otrov, you are to small to see it, but Margret, there is a washbowl in the stand and it is filled with soapy water. Some fabric is swimming in it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Does Nobody notice anything off or of interest within the ledgers that might clue him in on when its owner perished? If you need an investigation roll, it is the 1st one. 2nd one is checking the rest of the desk for booby traps before opening any drawers if it should have any.)
Margret, you don‘t notice anything speacial, but Otrov, you notice that the wash bowl is filled with still warm waters. Inside is a shirt, a linnen coat and some trousers. From the size and cut you assume it belong to a female dwarf. The water itself is rather dirty.
Nobody you do not understand what is written in the books, but it looks like collums of words and numbers written in dwarven runes. They contain some kind of book keeping you assume. First You do not notice any differents in the hand writings, but one book stops a few days ago with pages to spare while a new one starts on that day.
With Dains help you can put more sense to the lists, Grista kept track of her income and spendings, what drinks were sold and what got destroey or needed repair. With the Dwarfs help you can put dates to all the books. One of them started a few days ago ( the book starts at the 7th and goes on till yesterday the 12th, no entry for today yet) and when you carefully compare this newest book to the older ones, you can see tiny difference in the handwriting.
The windows themself are closed, but they are glass. You can see a Sandman that resembles Otrov outside in the backyard. Thin Curtains provide visual cover from outside but allow you to look outside.
Once translations are done, Nobody had taken to ritually casting Comprehend Languages at the desk, preparing in advance. Although attentive over the ten or so minutes it takes, the tiefling offers nothing in the way of advice, and mostly shrugged or responded with noncommittal answers over a view of any suggestions. In any case, the others are given plenty more time to finish checking things out unless someone yet again insisted upon more immediate action out of the tiefling... again... even though someone just as skilled if not moreso is on the scene.

No problem, it is a wooden floor, so some of the water will flow through the gaps. The floor will be wet, but you won‘t get puddles.

Otrov will sneak in and look for anything suspicious (traps, trap doors, watery sounds etc). 10
And then move to one side of the wardrobe and investigate it to see if it’s locked. 19

"Anyone check under the bed, or in the wardrobe yet?" he asks, nodding to the two items.
Dain also calls Sabastian, having the tressym look around for anything invisible.
Margret looks under the bed and the Wardrobe
"I'm not seeing anyone in here, its almost like it turned invisible."
Said wishing she had a spell for that
"We were in the other room when I got caught in the trap and didn't see the door here open. It's in here I think"

well, Sabastian can detect anything that is invisible, so he should be able to spot something like that if it is here.
The winged cat apears next to Dain and walks aroynd the bedroom, the studdy, the landing, nothing.
