Balfour fires again at the sentry up top - hoping to take him out or at least draw attention to him to the rest of the group. He remains silent though, trying to stay blended into the shadows.
Balfour's second arrow flies true and pierces the man pushing him over the edge. There is a muffled cry but you can tell that he is already dead when he falls.
Keyyra will nod at the one with the bow and arrow and keep his hands away from his weapons. "The rest of you guys come out, I do not believe that the rest of these ones are too inclined to attack us. Now what is this Circle you've been speaking of Elf." Keyyra says sitting on the ground

Toonary steps up, "Druid not evil, Druid not use fear, Druid protect nature, Toonary protect friends. They protect wild from evil? Or they fake Druid? We try talk to them?"
At Keyyra's words, Arm slowly stands, keeping his longbow in his hands, and moves towards the others, taking care not to make any sudden moves or startle anyone.
"Yes, what kind of druids are they. Mostly they can get along well enough but from our experiences here so far I have my doubts." Keyyra says then looking at the unconcious leader "He alluded to them being fairly powerful."

Eso will begin tying the bandit's hands together before then connecting them together with rope. If she sees any individual messing with the rope or it looks like they will try something she will bare her teeth at them. She will take special attention to tie the leader's and the fighter's arms and legs so that they are restrained, afterward regrouping with the others with the leader on over her shoulder. "Six prisoners and two turned men. A good start to our taming the lands if I do say so myself." Eso will approach Kith and the man lying on the ground before motioning for him to stand. "I am glad some were smart enough to see when outmatched. As I said earlier, I am Eso. In recognition of your surrender, I promise you both your lives, so long as you complete the terms of our agreement. Welcome into the service of our merry band. Ensure the bandits are ready to go soon, we will make our way back to the fort soon."
Balfour approaches the parley group - Eso and Keyyra in particular - 'Well now, we're in a bit of a pickle, aren't we? What are we supposed to do with all these 'prisoners'? We can't exactly bring them back and drop them on Savannah's doorstep - she can't possibly guard them and keep them in line? This would have been so much easier if they had been kind enough to fight back and just let us kill them all.'
We can guard them, says Arm. Until we hire or find someone to do it full time. It just means that we don't all go out together on missions. Someone stays behind, and holds down the base. I'm good to do that. I was in the militia. And I've got some experience in helping new recruits find their feet. He nods at the two who turned to their side rather than being captured. Sorry, I didn't hear your names.
"I believe it is in our best interest to worry about the details later. For now, we should secure the stolen good from the bandits. This could give us leads to other settlers who have been stolen from and to return to. This will help increase our respect with the locals. But for now, lets head back to the fortress."
Eso doubted that they were ever alone. And while they had a good number to prisoners ratio, if they walked into an ambush or the turned bandits turned again it could be bad.
I m assuming you are returning with the bandits to the Fort.
Kith and Killian present themselves to the group and quickly gather the things lying around. In short order the bound man a re ready to leave. There is a lot of grumbling among the bound bandits about the two "traitors".
The walk back is silent but slow and you arrive to the fort as the sun settles. You can see from far away that some new men have arrived to the fort.
Roll History DC 16
The group staying in the fort have the color of the Northern Council you are working for. They are all human and they are clearly soldiers. They are about 8 of them.
You have seen the sergeant already. He is called Dan Greylock and he is committed to good. Some say that he is a paladin devoted to Selune (goddess of peace and beauty ) but he doesn't advertise it.
The soldiers in the Fort are already hard at work strengthening the structure. They have two sentries in front.
Savannah seems out of sort but not scared. You can see that things are moving rapidly and that she has no say in it. It is not really sitting well with her.
Perception for the walk back and the back trail; 3
Balfour is silent and sullen on the walk back. Ranging far ahead and doubling back to check their trail far more often than is needed, or even prudent. He's clearly rattled by their encounter - but it's unclear if it's the responsibility of the prisoners, the mystery of this Circle, or the fact that he has killed two men in as many days or some combination of all the above.
As they approach the fortified homestead, Balfour's mood brightens notably. He shades his eyes with his hands against the setting sun and squints to get a good look at the newcomers as they approach.
'It seems my worries were indeed premature my friend Eso, I suppose I'm glad we didn't have to slaughter them all after all. I do believe the Sargent there is Dan Greylock himself-himself. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more honest man anywhere - and certainly not here in these lawless lands.'
The sight of the soldiers seems to have lifted a weight from the halflings shoulders and his taciturn mood burns off like the morning's fog. He begins singing and needles the prisoners until they grudgingly join in with the familiar tune -
'We march by day, we drink by night Through sun and snow and gale, So have a round, a pint, or glass And drink that Broadfoot Ale!'

"Ah Greylock, good to see you friend. We have some things to discuss when you have some time in private about some recent discoveries. For now what recommendations would you have for these men, they have been found to been harassing and extorting the people of these lands and whatever else we may not have found." Then Keyyra will look through the bandits stuff to see if any of it is Savannah's or the boys
"Some of you have been called back to the Council for some unfinished business. " He seems grave then smiles when he sees the bandits tied , " I see that you have already begun to show these wild parts how it's going to be."
Woogle as left the adventure so I m using this opportunity to take his character out. Should we get one more in ?
"Well Belfour, there is a difference between paranoia and real concern. Had it not been for reinforcements I believe we would have been forced into a difficult situation. Now that they are here your concerns are at ease. But it was good of you to think ahead." Eso approaches the commander, offering a friendly smile. "Good of you to arrive Greylock. The reinforcements are much appreciated, and with your help we will tame the wilds. our status today is six prisoners, two of which are sleeping, and two turncoats who offered to join us for the next five years. Would you please have one of your men take them under guard while we decide what to do with them?"
Turning back to the group she addresses how she would solve the problem. "The ringleader should be executed in according to the law, the remaining five who failed to surrender should be kept under guard and required to assist on the farm for a period to be decided, no less than five years. While the other two who offered to join us should be tested on loyalty then be employed as scouts and guides for future delves into the wilderness. But more heads are better than one and if you have and idea please come forward with it."
Sergeant Greylock, sir. May I ask... um... the specifics of your mission here? We should have a clear chain of command in this fort, no? Arms asks nervously, not wanting to offend, but also keen to avoid any confusion.
