Delkin catches up with everyone after disappearing (*OC I imagine he missed the conversation with Eliadra) , It seems we are not the first band of adventurers set out on this expedition. I followed the drow that spoke to us. I believe Lady Doorhall's brother and others went before us and are now either dead or missing. He mentioned something about a glowing necklace Lady Doorhall is wearing signifying her brother still lives and that he is also searching for someone named Mi'kele. I think there is more danger to this than we know. But I suppose that is to be expected. I do not think that is the last we will see of the drow.
I am all for a little danger. But I like to know as much as I can before walking into it. You never know when a piece of information will save your life.
Yes, knowledge is the gateway to many things. Power, influence, but perhaps most importantly for us, safety. But the greatest knowledge can never be gained without a little danger to it, eh? So there ya go. The only way through is forward! He cackles happily, seeming to be enjoying himself immensely, whistling tunelessly while walking.

Hearing Delkin's report, Saba fills him in. You did better than us. We thought we had an opening, but it led nowhere new. But Lady D did let slip "Paradise Isles" and that Jarlaxle the drow was a cause of whatever troubles. And that - you say her brother - she knew someone was alive as she clutched the glowing bauble and wept for him. It is more information than we had before - off to rescue a brother from the P.I. while undoing whatever mess that dark elf made. That ought to occupy the time adequately.

"I'll save my luck for more important things than coin," Virn says, waving off Corbin's offer. Once conversation moves off the voyage again, he orders another full bottle of whiskey on the open tab and tucks it away for later.

Corbin, you manage to find the game tables full but there is one empty one. There is a set of dice on the table, intent for use. As you observe, you notice a Beholder levitating towards the table. He smiles and asks, "Here for one of those rowdy nights before adventuring? I'd like to make a wager with you. You beat me at this game, I give you a magic item from my stores. I win and you tell me everything you know about the Shimmering Hope's expedition."
Elsa, go ahead and make a persuasion check first.

When Drako sees the beholder approach Corbin. He steps up and says to Corbin, "Corbin, it's getting late. Let's head back now. We have work in the morning." He will try to pull Corbin out of there. He will tell the beholder politely, "Sorry about the interruption good sir but I have to retrieve my friend as we should be getting to bed now. I wish you a very good night."

"Drako, hey, listen! I may be a little tipsy, but I know secrets are not for sharing. If you're that worried, join the game and feel free to knock me out when appropriate. And I don't need to be taken to bed like a child... unless I'm unconscious."
To the beholder, "You make a tempting offer, good sir, but the information you want is not mine to give. Let's make the wager friendlier and I'll even bring a bottle of whiskey to the table!" Extending a hand, "I'm Corbin."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Beholder frowns. "Well, that's unfortunate but not unexpected. I can predict nearly everything, especially from lesser beings." He grinned again. "Just to show no hard feelings, I will bestow upon you a trinket for your adventures." He levitates a key-like object in front of you. "This is what the magic savvy beings call a Mystery Key. Try it on any lock, and it might open one someday."
Elsa, after attempting to talk your way in, (you said you wanted to sneak in), will attempt to sneak into the kitchen. 18

Drako says, "Right sir. no hard feelings" mustering all his politeness to be as polite and friendly as possible. Drako may like to challenge himself but he knows when he's severely out-classed. This would be one of those times.

Drako will help carry Corbin. If Corbin and all his equipment weighs less than 124 lbs, Drako should be able to pick him up by himself.
Aethos will assist Drako in carrying Corbin back to the Shimmering Hope.

Not sure when this occurs compared to other events, but Saba is staying away from gambling and beholders.
She is interested in Elsa's interest in cooking - Does this mean we might have, you know, like real food this deployment?
