I know the Ya'p, up the street from the Furled Banner - that one's more a soldier's bar. I've shipped out of Waterdeep only a couple times but marched from here plenty. We can get most kinds of gear on the way too. Like I said, since dinner is paid for I can afford some clothes that are more cloth than mending, so I'll stop at Ana O'tavishes' a minute. You gents can poke at Bowdler's or ZZ'liango's and there's a couple spots for hardware nearby.

Orryn follows the party to the Yawning Portal for dinner. He's consulting various papers and notes as they walk, but he'll look up periodically to help direct around the city if needed.
Going into the Yawning Portal Saba feels better equipped after visiting the clothier. She'll help the quiet half-orc get her kit sorted, and help whoever isn't familiar with Waterdeep find stuff if they need it. I think a few of us know their way around.
Saba has the letter Lady Doorhall gave us. When we get to the Yaw'P she'll get it to the maître d' and make sure they know we have basically an open tab. C'mon Amateurs, let's spend some of the Council's money.I suggest quality over quantity since we gotta be back aboard by dawn. In fact, I plan on returning and sleeping on the Hope tonight. She is going to get the best meal she ever had, a little bit of very good whisky and a bit of good cider. Any of us a good storyteller? What are your tales?
Ephraim has wandered over to the large hole in the floor and is walking around it, taking notes and mumbling under his breath. He will occasionally reach down, grab a loose stone, stick it in a pocket, and keep going.

Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
Drako will try to buy the following: Bed roll; 10 chalk; Traveler's Clothes Grappling hook; Mess Kit; Oil (Specifically, cooking oil); 5 Soap; Tinder box; Whetstone;
Subtracting the amount: 6 GP 1 CP as according to the prices given in the equipment list. Let me know if the price is more or less.
Also want a small knife but don't know how much it costs.
Drako will eat a lot and drink less than he usually does but still a lot. He drink enough ale to barely not be drunk. He will however go with Saba to sleep on the ship because he doesn't want to be late again. At the request of stories, he will tell the group about that one time he hunted a bear with his brothers. Performance to see how well he tells the story: 15
At the Yawning Portal, he drinks a lot and will try to fill his new waterskin with the best whiskey without anyone's notice (Sleight of Hand16) pouring glass after glass throughout the night.
If there's anyone playing any games, he will try to join that table and wager the rest of his coins (4gp 7sp).
Corbin rejoins the others thoroughly drunk. "Hav' ever told you 'bout that time I stole a b... a boat from the goblins?"Performance4
"The goblinsss had a boat... and I need'd a boat you see... the boat was not guarded 'cause only goblins on th' island..." at which point he passed out.
Before making his way to the Yawning Portal he will visit the local bakery and buy as much bread as 2gp will get him. Aethos will then attempt share all the loaves he has bought with any urchins / beggars in the district.
After reaching the Yawning Portal and rejoining his new travelling companions he listens contently to their stories.
Delkin would like to buy a Healer's Kit for 5GP. Having spent almost all his gold, he follows the others to the Yawning Portal quietly. He does not eat much and does not drink at all. He watches the different adventurers around him in the bar and if someone happens to go down into the Portal he will go up and watch their descent. When Saba asks for stories he says, This is the furthest I have ever been from home and my family. I do not have much for stories yet. That's why I am here.
Watching Corbin get very drunk he will assist whoever in getting him back to the ship.
Elsa is not having a great time. She keeps getting approached by a well-dressed half-orc who keeps trying to buy her drinks. She doesn't know what to do with the attention.

Saba raises her mug and nods to Delkin To home and family! I was foolish, ran away at 14, half a lifetime ago. Spent the next 10 years getting drummed out of various army units. What....eight times? She uses a knuckle to scratch at the "X" tattooed on her forehead, then shakes her head. But the...fourth time?...that was funny... continuing with how she and some other archers stole all the spears from an infantry barracks, swapping them with all the mops and brooms everywhere in the fort...Three or four a piece, in every cupboard everywhere. The whipping was worth it, to see the adjutant's face even weeks later, when they'd find another couple. Plus the spear-lads got lashed too, for letting us get past them. They booted us at the end of the campaign season.
At the end of the evening, Saba will join the sober and the less drunk in helping the very drunk back to the ship.
And to the bozo bothering Elsa Give it a rest mate. If that doesn't get rid of him, Saba signals to the Amateurs - he would definitely quit when the other 9 of us (8 if this occurs too late for Corbin) stand. This is too good a night to not have a good time - we better get used to standing together

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Spotting Saba approach the half-orc bothering Elsa, Aethos will lend support to his companions. Smiling at the half-orc, "Excuse my candor Sir. I believe that minest companion doth not appreciate thine approaches... Besides, she doth appear to already haveth a drink."
Ephraim approaches, and as he's walking, a loud pop right next to the male half-orc's head is heard out of nowhere (minor illusion) followed by a shower of purple sparks (prestidigitation), then he steps up in front of him with glowing white eyes (minor illusion)
Call me crazy, and most people do, but I believe the young lady would like to be left alone.
Virnelis will take advantage of the open tab and keep the top shelf liquor flowing. He'll definitely imbibe more than is necessary, but he appears to be holding on to his sobriety, despite the alcohol flowing like water. Possibly it's the food he's putting away as well, possibly it's his general constitution and long hours of practice on liquor of lower quality. But he'll trade a few stories about his own time out on other ships of the sea once he's got a few drinks in him. None of them are terribly personal, more about the dangers present on the waves.
As you all enjoy your evening, an man dressed in fine clothes and wearing a fine hat with a feather sticking out of it walks over to your table. As you get closer, you see that it isn't a man, but a dark-skinned elf. "Good evening," he says to you all, taking a dramatic bow. "Rumor has it that you were seen boarding the Shimmering Hope. I'm interested in some information, and I'd pay handsomely for it. I hope that, like me, you are . . . opportunists."
