Btw this is a Convention that I will be (hopefully) attending in Austin in January. They're running these two Epics...maybe it's time for Gavin to come out of retirement after all...
My friends and I are trying to grind some Characters to the highest levels possible, so that we can enter all together at the same table, and do the truly epic stuff. Wish me luck...
Okay Players, here's the deal. At this point, I think I've just about reached capacity, with a total of 16 Characters divided into 4 Teams, which is a pretty considerable challenge for 1 DM, but one I'm willing to tackle, and so far, with all of your help and cooperation, I think we've been able to maintain and grow a great epic and complex Storyline that I want to further.
But I will not be able to accept any more new players, as it would just slow the Game down even more...
Therefore, I am officially turning to any of you Creative geniuses who would be willing to run their own Talaveroth Game/Teams, in order to let new Players in on the regular, and help co-write different Chapters of our "Franchise", coordinating stories with me and other potential DMs, so that they may become "Canon" in the Talaveroth World, and that your stories may be added to the general lore...
Anyone up to the challenge? Now that the main Cast is in Tier 2 (levels 5-10), it would be great to start a new Tier 1 Cast (Level1-4). Your Game could take place anywhere else in Talaveroth, so that we may explore other Regions than the Nâr Barâk Mountains: the Human Kingdom of Mastandia, the Woodelf and Forrest Gnome kingdoms of the Westwood, the Western City-States of Kalverak, the Rock Gnome and Hill Dwarf Regions known as the Lowlands (under Drow occupation), the Southern Desert, with the Copper Dragon Clan Oasis-City, and beyond it, the Southern Halfling Republic. Then South West, the Pirate Nations, and the Theocracy of Hextor (Slaver Nation worshipping Evil God of Tyranny and Oppression).
Again, a Talaveroth Wiki would be nice, including for myself. There's only so much information my brain can hold lol.
Anyway, I had a great 2 days off catching up with the Campaign, and officially kickstarting the War for the Granit Lands, and furthering the Gingerbread Man plot.Team 3 is getting deeper into the rabbit hole, as Team1,2 and Evil move closer to each other....Good luck to you all, thank you again for playing, and may the Gods of Talaveroth smile upon you...
PS: I will be back to work tomorrow, so I will be posting a bit less for the next few days. Consider it the calm before the Storm...
Hi, I would be totally interested in contributing / GMing a team, but I'm not sure if that would be counter intuitive based on the fact that I'm playing in Team 3 as well... would the new sub-teams be in a different story vein that wouldn't be affected? I guess it might be an entirely new beast!
I'd be down to run a game in the Lowlands... perhaps a crew of players get together to operate an underground printing press (gnomes and dwarves after all). Balancing the needs of fomenting a new resistance movement vs. the ever present threat of drow informants, hit squads, and the dreaded Department of Information.
I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it. ^^ I'd love to know more about your world. The Westwood or the Pirate Nation sound fun. I tend to favor more woodsy/foresty adventures, and pirates are...pirates.

Yes, you would be writing a whole new chapter of the Story in a different part of the World. But who knows? Maybe one of your Vilains escapes and seeks refuge in the Three Peaks one day? Or maybe some of your Players encounter a familiar NPC from another Campaign? Maybe your Campaign can help indirectly explain some of Tori's background? And maybe your Players can be involved in some of the same Shenannigans that caused her to flee in the first place...

I would be open to any of these concepts
Tori and Tam's backgrounds are something we were hoping to get into, so a story based on a team exploring what used to be their reality would be interesting to figure out. We'd definitely have to discuss that at length, as that may take us deep into the Underdark for a good chunk of the campaign. Not sure what your take on all that is.

The Lowlands is a part of the World that I designed a long time ago, but never got to explore with Players. The Story always seemed to "want to steer away" from it. But I've always wanted to run adventures in that Region. The Rock Gnome Tinkerers, and Hill Dwarf architects make the Region one of the most technologically advanced, and visually stunning, with their clockwork "Da Vinci tech" and Italian Renaissance-style architecture. And the constant game of Cloak & Dagger between the Resistance and the Drow Matriarchy, with both sides seeking outside Alliances to maintain control of the Area.
The Lowlands main Sub-regions are the Bolgen Hills, the Southern Plains, and the Western Coast.
The Climate there is more "Mediterranean", as well as the Culture.

Just some food for thought....
Oh, and the High Elf Primordial Forest, with its Floating Islands....another interesting location
