Ashissa disguises herself into the dead priestess she found covered in sand and weary from the environment before entering the said building with Baku next to her.

Believer of the almighty one, the Alpha and the Omega, whose love encompasses all of his creations, RNGesus.
Started as a player at time of registration. Started to DM a month later. Hoping to get better as time progresses.
Leann takes the force of the claws across her forearm, but the venomous tips do not pierce her skin.
The Ghoul shudders as the breath of Agathys chills its bones. Its eyes glaze over and shatter in puffs of frost as it crumples before Leann's shimmering feet.
The ghoul is dead, or whatever you call it when undead "die". This leaves the skeleton 1 (which Twinly can't seem to hit) towards the entrance of the room, the skeleton with the bow attacking Damh to the North of the room, and the skeleton beneath Hadar at the Southeast tip of the room near Leann.
Ashissa disguises herself into the dead priestess she found covered in sand and weary from the environment before entering the said building with Baku next to her.
The little entities do not attack or pursue, and fly away up to the cloud of smoke.
The torrent of flame rages above Ashissa as she makes her way into the large antechamber.
As she walks beneath the archway, the leach of dry warmth pulls at her skin and the smell of charred Earth fills her nostrils. The inner archway is a massive skull with giant teeth looming above her and massive horns wrapping around the inside of the large room. Magma bubbles calmly far below two stone platforms which stand next to the pathway before her, each with a brazier of blue, glowing stones.
50 feet before her stands a large platform, in the very center of the tower. A huge, blue stone floats above a moat and four tiny streams of magma which pour across the platform, but are small enough to quickly cross. 4 pathways lead away from the central area, 2 of lead to nothing but collapsed pedestals. The two paths at the far end of the room appear to be stairs going up around the rim of the tower. The stairs ascend along the walls, rising high into the tower. Perhaps a hundred feet above, they disappear into the ceiling.
"Looks like we've found ourselves a promising place Baku."
Ashissa dryly smiles before observing the said floating stone and trying to discern their purpose with Baku before commanding it to scout ahead the left pathway leading upstairs.
The heat of the room borders on stifling, but at least the pair is not walking on hot stone as they enter the chamber. On approach to the large, blue stone, no disturbances confront them.
A fine mist of magical energy seems to be leaching from the top of the stone like a fine snowfall defying gravity. It cascades delicately and constantly up to the ceiling, high above. The base of the stone drips heavy globs of red magma from its base into the four little gulleys in the platform. Somehow, it seems to both utilize and transform the the heat into ice energy.
A similar stone set a hundred feet above absorbs the energy, this one the color of molten lava. It seems to be on the verge of dripping with heat, but the frosty plumes counter this. Streams of magical runoff slide along the ceiling up into the stairwells as well.
Ashissa has read of this type of magic. Transformative energy creating a vortex of opposing magical elements generally correspond to the use of a portal of some sort. It would be safe to assume that the Cult of the Inferno might be playing with fire...
Her bag grows warm as the proximity to the powerful magical centers interacts with the magic artifacts in her bag. This place is cyclone of energy, anchored by this single, frosty stone.
---
Baku quickly crosses the 100 feet of hot air between the floor and the top of the stairwell. Along the walls, flames lick in and out of view. It can't be sure, but strange forms like faces and limbs seem to undulate in and out of the walls as the blackened stone simmers.
Firey shadows are cast along the openings at the top of the stairs, and the heat is even more intense as Baku approaches. Through the doorway, it can hear the crackling and roaring of flames and a voice chanting something desperately in the din.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ashissa commands Baku to further investigate the desperate chanting as silently as possible, relaying information as she checks the other unexplored path upstairs.
Baku rises into the room at the top of the stairs and is blasted by heat. The room is filled with leaping flames and burning elementals, all circling what appears to be a portal in the center of the room. From within the portal, wisps and plumes of fire escape every so often, forming into more elementals as the room begins to crowd with them.
Ashissa feels the burning heat singe her skin as she also finds herself in the same room, across the chamber from Baku. The two stairways rise around the central dais, meeting next to a smoking fire-fall of molten stone. It flows in a moat around the portal and seeps into the floor, only cooled by the touch of the blue energies from the base of the tower, far below. Small stone bridges cross to the center platform from the two entrances.
A lone man stands within the inferno on the dais, fighting what seems to be a losing battle. A weakly shimmering shield of energy stands between him and certain death. His arms are raised to the ceiling and blast of fire seem to respond to his pleas, surging around the portal and pumping blue light into his shield.
Facing away from the stairways, he takes no notice of those entering the chamber.
He chants with a terrified fervor - "Histia alkubraa ، 'asmae sarkhatan baladi. Thabat ydy waismah li bi'iighlaq hadhih albawabat. Waqad ghadab Kerakys wayaseaa lileuthur ealaa tariquh 'iilaa alyawm min khilal alnaari. 'Asmae sarkhati!
The creatures in the room all seem focused on him and circle him slowly, looking for a point of weakness in his shield, testing its boundaries. Some of the smaller creatures break away from the main group and come to investigate the two newcomers. They do not look happy.
Anyone in the room, roll for initiative.
