Mist, that did not see orc's retreat, spent next minute cursing in Dwarvish (and dwarves are rightfully proud of depths and abundance of their swearing!) - the wound hurt! She interrupted herself only to ask if they finished both orcs.
"We can't let him get away. As she said, he'll alert other people."Maghana says and rushes into this new room. She goes directly to the door and opens it to see what was on the other side, but hesitates on crossing it.
"Alert who?" Ravanala asks, shaking her head as the other runs off. "Let them go, one less fool to get us into trouble as we try to find our way out of here." She tells the others she found herself down here with.

(OOC: Don't worry, Maghana is the only one who left.)
Maghana looks back and responds. "You don't get it? If we let one run away, many others may come back. Let one fool run away and more fools will come our way. I prefer fighting one orc that we just proved we can beat than ten orcs at the same time."
"We don't need to split up, we can all go together..." She says, still hesitating at the door to the next room, possibly for that exact reason, she was waiting for the others.
(I already posted a lot. I'll stop now to let other people talk as well.)
"You seem to be the only one who wishes to run after them." Ravanala points out. She begins to look around the room the orcs were inside. "Running off after one, to keep it from alerting some unknown others seems foolish to me. There could be a whole encampment around the next corner, or not a single other orc in this place."
Wing catches up to the group and looks through the door. Without orcs in sight he'll relax a bit. "You said two orcs in here. Maybe the other one knows the way out"
Of course, Mist accepted (free heal! Are you kidding?). She even mastered "thanks" and added "feels much better" before jumping into the heat of arguments. "Who knows who is down there, right? But! That orc runs somewhere. And we do not know a rat ass where are we. So, may be, it is smart to run after him and get somewhere too!"
If others were not swayed by her impeccable logic, she would not insist though and return to the statue with - oh, so beautiful rubies in it (now she was convinced these are rubies).
Maghana looks at Ravanala. "I still think you're wrong. If some orcs are here, it makes a lot of sense to assume that there are more orcs around. He even said in Orcish that we would regret fighting him. With that said, I can only be so reckless. I'm not going after him alone, so if everyone else's gonna stay, I feel like I should give up on the chase."
Maghana looks at Wing who seems confused and tells him straight what she saw happen. "The orc left this way." She points to the door she was currently in front of. "We all decided to let him leave. Let's see what's in this room first."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Caryarus - Searching the body you find 2 more javelins to join the that was thrown by the orc that has now fled. You also find the battle axe that bit into Mist so deeply, and a set of musty and stinking hide armor that is salvagable from the corpse if you so choose. You also locate a pouch at his waste that contains a few coins and what appears to be a vertebrae of some kind of animal with gouges in it that look like tooth marks.

Mist: Bring your attention back to the demon statue with the ruby eyes you are indeed convinced they are authentic rubies, although some of the largest ones you have seen outside of the ancestral treasure vaults of the clan. And those were the ones big enough that you knew better than to take, something that large someone would miss. But there doesn't seem to be anyone here to miss these.
[OOC]Give me an investigation check with proficiency and advantage because of your dwarven stone cunning and I will tell you what you think they might be worth. From your initial inspection you know they are worth a lot.[/OOC]
Maghana: Now that the danger of the short scuffle has passed you can inspect the room more throughly. To the left of the door that you entered through there is a dusty old tapestry depicting a dark haired human on horseback riding through a deserted battlefield with dead humans and goblins strewn on either side. The tapestry is large and heavy and in dire need of repair, but you wouldn't be surprised if it held some historic significance.
DC 15 History
This tapestry depicts the aftermath of the Battle of Olodumar. It was a skirmish between humans and goblinoids in the southern reaches of the fallen kingdom of Olodum some 1500 years ago. Legend says that the human on horseback was the surviving monarch of the kingdom, who after the battle fled east into the hinterlands and was never heard from again.
Other than the tapestry the only thing of note is the torture implements strewn about the room. They all appear to be of crude quality, and most are gathering both dust and rust, but there might be something of greater value hidden across the garbage.
[OOC]You may make an investigation check to search through the items in the room if you would like, either with advantage or with someone else making a second roll if someone comes to help you. (Critical Role style)[/OOC]
There are two unexplored exits to this room, one leading east, the way the fleeing orc went, and one leading south, 10' to the east of the door that you have entered through. At first glance both doors are of basic wooden construction with nothing indicating one to be preferable to the other.

Can we include in it searching the way to remove said rubies from statue? (Guess, it's pointless with such roll :) )
Btw, Mist pocketed that vertebrae - it's something curious and orc kept it. Might get handy.
