Character Name: Henry Race: Human V Class: Fighter Backstory: Henry came from a long line of Knights and fighters. As a child he was always the smallest and had to train harder than his brothers and sister. When he was old enough he join a militia and fought during a war. Try his best to survive he ended up with a server injury on his leg. Damn near cripple he was finally disowned by his family, unable to accept his situation he trained his mind and his body ready to face new challenges. How often you can post (at least 1/day): I can post about twice a day maybe more depending on work.

Seeing as this is still open, I'll give it a try.

Character Name: Zugrul Kuasi-mud Race: Half-Orc Class: Bard
(Short) Backstory: Zugrul is haunted by the worst of enemies: love! Disfigured and tone-deaf, his poetic confession to the angelic Lady Argiva was met with scorn and disdain; his attempt to forcefully kidnap her was thwarted by the brute prowess of her guards. Now Zugrul wanders in search of ways to better himself and his looks, hoping to go back one day and prove his unyielding dedication. On the way, he makes a living by singing and performing; hesitant at first, the villagers always turn eager to drop him a few coins when he smiles at them.
How often you can post (at least 1/day): Twice a day should be manageable, save bad days.
I've never rolled dice on this forum.. so lets see if that works... Not sure if it'll drop the lowest one properly or not. (used the auto function!). Also not sure if this is closed or not but still looks open.. so i'll throw this in. Since I want a PBP. EDIT: Wwell that worked.. not blindingly bad but.. that sure is awkward. if selected I might look into another roll attempt or something.. Simply because I don't want to be a gnome, but hats basically the only INT race.. which would be nearly required with that stat spread. (or at least the only +2 int race I know of)
Application Character Name: Roll Race: Human (Varient as I want Tavern Brawler for Alchfire/Acid flasks, or Healer for well heals, or Spell Sniper for a Necrotic cantrip) or Half Elf. Class: Artificer (future Alchemist)--Probably couldn't be solo healer very easily, artificer (and alchemists if the game goes that far) have pretty limited resources. I aim to build a "off support off healer, gap filler" style character. (Short) Backstory: Roll was adopted at a young age by a elderly Gnome (wizard). They lived on the outskirts of a rural village, the wizard valuing their privacy. Originally adopted to serve as an assistant, but Roll had no ability with magic. However, Roll understood the theories well, just seemingly had no talent in execution. Due to this inability the elderly gnome had given up and made them a cook/maid. However, Roll kept learning in her free time. Eventually she began building tools that let her use knowledge. If she couldn't touch magic, she'd wield items that can touch magic. Starting with gauntlets that let her manipulate magic and going from there. Impressing the Gnome-adopted parent.
Eventually the local village experienced a monster rush, which they both particpated in the defense. However, the new notoratiy alarmed the Gnome, who disappeared over night leaving Roll with a note. Roll packed up and moved their experients to their hidden vault up the mountain before local lord's men arrived inquiring after the Gnome. Not desiring to have her own agency taken from her-to create items for the lord. She packed her own bag and escaped over night, leaving her deed to the land with the local orphanage she grew up in--giving them more space and an area to grow their own crops to help with funding and food with the promise that she'd return in the future. Thus, Roll set off to see the wider world, learn more, and maybe run into her adopted parent and find out why they're wanted (Alive only) so widely. (Longer version has a sibling as well who went with the grandfather and is also an artficer/warfordged humanoid who frequents disguise self to look not robot)
How often you can post (at least 1/day): Most weekdays will be twice a day at least. Before work and after work. Potentially twice after work. Never during however. (as this website will be blocked I imagine and may be difficult to properly do on a phone). Weekends probably a simliar deal, though occasionally will have longer trips to the big city for grocery shopping or family event sorta deals.
Extra: My playstyle tends to frequent being a sidekick, I don't really want to be the main character. I always like the extra characters you get in a JRPG over the main characters. Also just in real life I tend to be more a support person, the gap filler, replacement, can lead -doesn't like to, but is decent at it when the need arrises. Would prefer to be quietly working though.
If this is still open, I would like to toss my PC in the pile -- it's been so long since I played a campaign starting at lvl 1.

Character Name: Bramble Race: Goblin Class: Artificer (Artillerist) (Short) Backstory: Born with a freak mutation (so hairy he's basically a beast), Bramble was discarded from the tribe he was born into as a young cub. A traveler picked the abandoned child up thinking he was a cute large rat and wanting it to be his pet. To the traveler's surprise it was actually a highly intelligent humanoid. Bramble picked up the esoteric arts of engineering and magic early in his life and his guardian decided to put it to good use: being part of a criminal syndicate, Bramble's guardian used his mental acumen to help their group on their heists and other "not so goody" plans. Bramble believes the best way to normally solve a problem is to blow it up. (But let's be real, this character is mainly a mechanical exercise it trying to graph Rumble from League of Legends into a 5e character). How often you can post (at least 1/day): Minimum of 2/day; I mainly post while at work since I work at a computer all day.
The question here isn't whether the recruitment is open or not, it's whether the game's going to start at all. The last time the DM has been online was January 3rd, and I didn't get any responses when I sent them a direct message. So, for everyone who's wanting to apply after this message, think twice since it may be true that the DM doesn't have the time to start the game they created.
This is my very first post on dnd beyond, so I hope I'm doing it right.
Character name: Turdirith Race: Half-Elf Class: Paladin Stats:15715161510 Backstory: Turdirith was born in an unnamed evil cult worshipping the chaotic evil deity Cyric. He had a very wealthy upbringing, with good education and training. But unfortunately Buageard is not very smart. Because of this, and the manipulation of his elders, he believes that Cyric is actually a good deity. When he reached the age of 24, Turdirith was "asked" by his elders to spread the Word of Cyric to anyone who is not yet a believer. How often can you post: At least 1/day, probably a lot more.
Hm... You've done quite a good job at understanding how to make a character application, I just think you missed the post that's right behind the one you sent...

He served with unquestioning vigilance until he was betrayed by his commander. He unknowingly marched his men into a trap, and all of his trusting subordinates were killed. Name: V'rekh Race: Tortle Background: Outlander Class: Sorcerer (Storm Sorcery) Backstory: V'rekh used to live on his own near the water pond. He was most happy when the wind was blowing and the rain falling on his shell. Lately he has started feeling the magic rise inside him and the urge to see the world. One day when the storm was raging and the full moon was barely visible between the clouds he decided to gather his posessions and started walking looking for adventure. Character Name: Sma'dom (real name: *Hidden*) Race: Lightfoot Halfling Class: Rogue (Short) Backstory: *Hidden* was a typical Halfling until Orcs began systematically raiding their shire. Though they tried moving, the Orcs followed - determined to destroy them for unknown reasons. *Hidden* stood against them, but was ultimately defeated, losing nearly the entire community & all his known relatives. He fled to a life of addictive Spring Cheese, alcoholism, and random, violent attacks against anything resembling an Orc. He was taken in by a Thieves Guild & learned to be a hired assassin/spy. *Hidden* was now (mostly) clean & disciplined. After completing his training, *Hidden* began using the name given him by his victims, Sma'dom, meaning "Little Bull" in Orcish, for his small stature yet violent killings. After four years, he has set out as an agent of the Guild. He will accept missions from his Guild, or any other Orc-related jobs he can find, but his profits go back to the Guild as graft & dues, and the majority anonymously donated to the survivors of his shire. He wanders from place to place, searching for the Orc tribe that destroyed his former life. How often you can post (at least 1/day): Opposite ends of the day, 6-8 am & 7-11 pm. Sometimes during lunch break, available most of the day weekends.
