As you all scour the ground, it becomes increasingly apparent that there are no tracks leading away from the village but your own. Kierro does spot a trail of grass that seems slightly flattened, almost as if something had been dragged, but without any other tracks alongside it, it's difficult to imagine how that would be possible. The old man approches aiden, and puts his hand on his shoulder to support himself as he let's out a long wheeze.
"I...*cough* Do you think it's still here?" he asks. The young woman's eyes open wide, and she takes a timid step back towards the ship.
At thus point, the familiar figure of Rochester slides down the ship's ladder in a smooth motion, and jogs towards you all, slowing to a stop as he starts speaking.
"Makes sense or no, it's our only clue at all," Gorm points out ((Assuming Kierro shares his finding's.)) "If we're hoping to catch this... whatever... then we should try to track it now. Or at least scout out the direction it seems to head in."

“We’ll follow this trail and get James back. For everyone’s safety, we should have everyone stay on the ship watching each other while we find our attacker.”
„Will these brave adventurers find what they are looking for? A man, stolen from his home, an unfinished, and unfurnished building, or be it a creature to slay and claim as a trophy. Or will they only meet their demise. May the end of these brave souls meet their fate another day!“
Eli uses his Inspiring Leader to give everyone 4 temporary hit points
"Anybody with us that be a hand at trackin' things?" Khalin Gool inquires of the folks assembled to search for James. "As well, it'd be a good idea to have a couple of fighters up front, who be good at those sort o' skills?"
Gorm is already doing the best he can to try to track, or at least going in a straight line in the direction the flattened ground seemed to head to away from the boat, so he will take all the guidance he can get!

(Hopefully I did that right... (I guess I did. I just suck at rolling...))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aiden
"Never fear old timer, we shall slay the beast and return your comrade. You best stay close to the ship though, for your own safety."His reply seems genuine, but any who knew Aiden well would've picked the slight tremor of uncertainty in his voice.
"Now let's see about this invisible trail"he wanders towards the flattened grass.
„If we all are looking at these, i might as well do it too.“
eli makes a nature check to try to figure out what left the tracks, rather than where it went.

Therg is just padding along with the group, he's not great at tracking.
Khalin Gool will scan the surounds to see if anything strikes him as unusual, well other than the whole situation of course.
5 Nature check
"Well, seems, as far as I kin tell, we've got's us a transparent, weightless monster out to mess everything up."
He will not be letting his guard down anytime soon, that is for sure.

"James." He says. "We're missing James Castacre."

Khalin Gool nods in agreement with Kierro, “Aye, we’d best be away then, if we’ve any hope o’ gettin’ ‘im back alive.”

Kierro leads the group forward, his shield in one hand and holy symbol casting light around them.
"I'm not amazing at tracking, but..." Kierro closes his eyes, seeking guidance to help him stay on the trail of the attacker.

"...but nothing. I can help you all search better, though."
((He casts guidance on anyone searching, add a d4 to survival check.))
"I'm also not much of a fighter, but I'm well armored and can throw off attacks with flares of light. I'll be alright in front."
