Utar shrugs in response to Litta's question. "I guess we could say she's recruiting Graxx given how deep in conversation they are but I don't know if that would stick?"
Biscuit is the last to hop into the kitchen. Still benefitting from the magical silence and extra shadows provided by Neya, the mystical mastiff not only reaches his companions unnoticed, but also manages to swipe a floppy fish on his way.
The trio is now in the servants' dining room. They are the only ones there but suspect that a kitchen staffer may pop in at any time. The only other door in this room is in the northeast corner. Some empty plates, lit candles, and dull cutlery are on top of the simple wooden tables. There is an open book on one of the tables as well.
”I will do that... I’m kind of nervous about it to be honest. I’ve never done the deep connection of communing. Would it... Would it be alright if I asked you to come with me for the first time? Show me the ropes?”

Neya gets curious about the book on the table, but quickly reminds herself that she and her scouting party are on a number of time limits. As handy as her spell is, it won't last all day and sooner or later someone might see through it. As a result, she proceeds toward the northeast door, puts her back to the the table so she can duck under it if someone comes from the other door, and opens it a crack to look beyond it.
Aleyd hesitates for a second but then, without taking her hand off Graxx's shouder, replies: "I have never tried to reach out to a different god then the one I am devoted to, but I'll tell you what: help me foil the plans of my would be assassins and I'll help you get started in your paladin path."
At this point, the soldier that has been keeping an eye on this group points them out to a few of his fellow guards.
Still being quite careful regarding where she stands and/or crouches, as well as when to exactly move from one point to the next, Neya opens the northeast door and peeks through the crack. All she sees is a corridor than turns north just 10 feet away from her position, and another door right after that turn. The hallway continues further north, but Neya cannot see beyond the bend.
Moneus whispers: "What is the end goal here? How do we know when to call the others in?"
Seeing as the party was stalled for the moment, Biscuit takes that time to happily start chowing down on his fishy meal, bones and all. It takes some work though, and probably leaves a small mess on the ground. Then again, it could be the nature of Neya's peculiar technique that none of it might remain once they left the area. Not that /that/ mattered much to Biscuit, much to the ongoing distress of the Hunter currently watching and listening on the other end of things.

"I appreciate it. We'll handle business. Sooner rather than later."
Graxx slowly stands up letting Aleyd's hand fall off of him and looks annoyed at the guards.
"Why are they taking such an interest in us? Can a couple of folks not stand around and chat for a bit?
Graxx grits his teeth under his mask.
"I mean we just fought beside their house against a Dragon! It's not like we're bandits lurking about."
Graxx looks to Doozey.
"I'm about ready to go in. Yalek is clearly in there. It's time do worship Tempus in the way I know how."
Graxx looks to Utar.
"If they ask for us to come in. What are we doing, Utar? Demanding an audience or trying to sneak in? Not sure if we can be as stealthily as those folks."
"The reason behind this is to find a way for the rest of the group to get in." Neya replies in kind. "So far, I have not seen any viable options for them. The grounds have guards covering most of the area, entrances are being watched and the way in we took has too many eyes and ears.
"It may have to come down to them find their own way in if we can't find a large-enough blind spot."
Biscuit looks up from his meal at Neya's last words, and settled for an enthusiastic nod over the usual "boofs" of agreement. Those were kind of hard to do with a fish yet dangling from his maw even then. Speak of which, until Neya and Moneus were intending to move, it is back to chewing apart the scale critter, and licking the floor of any traces.
Meanwhile, a blissfully unaware Doozey, that is, at least unaware of Graxx' desires, goes back to giving the play by play, including Neya's doubts about finding a path for others to follow inside.

In the distance, one of the soldiers at the gate heads inside the property as the others continue to talk and point at the group at the bridge. Noticing this, Graxx and Utar begin going through different possibilities in their minds. Aleyd observes quietly for the moment, after finishing her talk with Graxx. When asked about whether she'd accompany the group, Litta responds: "I have not met this lord or gained any respect from him as you and the others have. I doubt I would be invited inside, but if you'd like me to come you could vouch for me should they try to bar my entry, can't you?"
Doozey continues to tell his "tale," which most of the group listen to in the background. The one exception in the strange villager who is hanging onto every word.
While he waits for the group to take their next step, Biscuit munches on the fish he stole from the kitchen. The associated slurping, chewing, and swallowing noises would be quite loud were it not for the monk's trick.Biscuit has enough time to finish his meal and lick clean most of the mess he left behind, both on the ground and on his own fur. Whatever he misses, Neya's spell takes care off magically.
Moneus responds to Neya's plan: "Understood." He turns to face the door and adds: "My turn to do some looking around, then." With that, he enters the hallway Neya was looking at through the cracked-open door.
After about 20 seconds, he comes back and describes a roughly U-shaped hallway that ends on a staircase leading to the second floor. He also mentions that he passed by nine doors between Neya's position and the set of steps. "Judging by the noises, one of these doors would lead us back outside."
"Let's see how busy that door is, then?" Neya says as she follows Moneus back to the door he indicated and slowly cracks it open as she looks beyond it, using her new senses to keep her from being surprised from something her eyes can't see.

Now Self-Satisfied and eager for more adventures, Biscuit stays hot on Neya and Moneus' heels once they move on for the next door. But whereas Neya and probably Moneus are focused on peering into another room, the Mastiff more pointedly keeps an ear out for any other approaching dangers. So far they'd been lucky enough to see only guards outside. But this didn't mean a few yet patrolled the interior.
If he hears anything strange, he'll paw at Neya for attention, before then pointing with his nose int he direction of any upcoming noise.
Moneus nods at Neya and leads her to the westmost door in that hallway. As they walk, Biscuit's ears prick up at human noises coming from the other side of the doors the trio is passing by on their way to the selected door. The mastiff can hear steps from behind a couple of doors, noises of people talking, picking up objects, and generally going about their lives.
Once at the door, Neya uses her general awareness of her surroundings to ensure she is not in immediate danger of being found out. Then, she cracks the door open and sees that it indeed leads outside, toward the west end of the property. The delineating wall and fence are not very far from where the trio now is, and this narrow stretch of ground seems to be less populated by patrolling guards than others she has seen so far.

While Litta, Aleyd, and Utar continue to keep an eye on the distant guards, Graxx approaches the story-loving villager and asks what's his deal. He shakes his head slightly, clearly being pulled out of an engrossing story and having to actively refocus his attention on something else. He looks up at Graxx, gestures towards Doozey, and replies: "Me? No, not really... Just listening to the stories of this here blind halfling. The tale is a bit slow but I think we are getting somewhere... Care to have a seat?"
"If you want to gain entrance to the manor, if we can gain entrance, I'd vouch for you, Litta. We could say you're new at the temple, I'm showing you the place?"
Utar looks round the rest of the group, "Should we make contact with the others? How long had it been?"

OOC: Not intimidating yet. More feeling this fellow out.
Graxx bites his lip a bit holding back a laugh but then thinks maybe this is some Zhent spy putting on a ruse. Does the fellow seem to be genuine in thinking this is a fictional tale?
