Grahl sees the fire creeping and braces for impact as the door shatters. The three of you are shoved back towards the stairs but manage to maintain footing. At the same time Arbon called out, he saw chips of wood and broken shards of stone fly over the balcony.
The fire is burning so hot and bright, it looks like daytime from downstairs and is mildly blinding those on the top floor.
Arbon calls upstairs once again, "Are you sure you're all alright? That fire looks rather intense. I'd prefer if you didn't burn the building down on our heads if you can manage it!"
"Yeah," said Onyx, blinking. "We're fine. Just trying to clean up the filth." Trying to focus through the flames, the warlock began trying to use a cantrip to try to snuff out the smaller flames and chill the material near the door; he was hoping he could close the door and maybe the flames would put themselves out. But if that didn't work....
Grahl holds his arm in front of his face to shield himself from the warmth of the fire and any debree.
He looks to Onyx trying to determine what he is doing. Wizards.. he scoffs
Grahl will keep an eye on the fire to see if its starting to spread beyond the room and to try and determine when it would be smart to get out of the house. But the fire and small particles prevent him from getting a good look.
Onyx's magic does little to quell the raging inferno, and the door that used to occupy the space between rooms no longer exists.
Yet, Grahl looks to the fire and is positive that it will spread no further. To him, it seems contained, if not extremely aggressively, to specifically the black tar. Perhaps the fire will end when all the tar is gone?
Now getting desperate (and not yet noticing what Grahl did,) Onyx tried using more magic to shove all the tar-covered gunk into a pile in the center of the room... at least as much as he could move (and see through the flames.)
Grahl continues to watch and looks back to the others thinking its under control. He sees Onyx trying to move all of the junk that has tar on it and nods. Piling it up will make sure it all catches fire together and as soon as its all burned the sooner the fire will be over.
Onyx's mage hand stickily pulls and tears at the burning tar yet it appears to only be moving the tar about and widening the fire's reach. As it tries to the black goo in a single location, the substances spills in threads and strands like melted cheese through a slotted spoon as the hand moves about. The room continues to burn hot.
The room burns for about 15 minutes as you all sit there and wait for the blaze to die down. Slowly, the black tar does indeed burn away and the smoke passes through the many holes in the roof long since damaged by years of torment at the hands of the tar's creator. As if only existing to purify the tainted room, the fire stopped at the doorway, having reduced the room to an ash covered stone cube similar to that of a chiseled out cave.
A marvelous pyre for the third hag. Its hallucinogenic magics were certainly nothing to scoff at. One has to wonder how much of this house's lingering illusions will remain now that its body is gone.

(( Onyx will simply stop and watch the burn, hoping it stays contained in the room. ))

Chazrael smiles at his companions. "Well, that was interesting."
