Jianyu, finishes his tea, stands, and bows his head graciously to Gurdis. He walks over to the window and looks out at the climbing sun (checks his watch). He picks up his staff and stands waiting 'til his companions are ready to move.
Garn jumps to his feet at the mention of a wagon. "Keep the money, I have what I need." He didn't want to profit off a woman's distress... besides, his mother was watching. He looks down and seems to realize his state of dress. "Just a moment and I'll meet you at the door."
He races to get his stuff, then races back in his full gear. "Mom, I'm stepping out for a bit. Won't be vanishing surrounded by friends, bye!" He then begins to make a break for freedom, hoping they follow them out.
Some time after the midday sun has risen, in Ganessa's company you are making your way across the grassy planes on the southern outskirts of Ruthenia, along the well worn track were the town's main trade comes and goes. To the west you can see the thick Wood Perilous looming, and to the east the grasslands stretch until they meet the river. After just a mile or so you spot the wagon in the distance and about half a dozen bodies sprawled nearby, with a few dead wolves scattered between . As you draw closer the buzzing of flies becomes prominent, and you see the blood soaked grass around the bodies, which you quickly notice are severely lacking in flesh about the neck and limbs. It appears to have been torn away from the exposed bones beneath. A meal was made of these poor souls and Ganessa bursts into tears at the very site of it all.

Jianyu stops for a moment near the bodies. He closes his eyes and bows his head. Then he lifts a shovel and, with a grim expression, he gets to work digging ditches clear if the road.
Betrit joins Jianyu in digging. However, he can be heard mumbling a cheer song under his breath. It is a druidic song of burial and renewal, though those who do not speak druidic would not recognize the words and thus not understand the semi-cheerfulness coming upon Betrit as he buries the dead.
As the sound of the song resonates solemnly through the cold air you barely notice the slight rustle of the long grass about 100 feet from you all.

Jianyu sticks his shovel in the ground, wipes his brow, and takes a swig of his water skin, while searching for the source of the sound. Then he casually disappears into the grass and moves toward the source of the sound.
Tempest is with Ganessa, offering her a shoulder to cry on. She whispers a small prayer for those lost.
At the sound, Tempest takes a stand in front of Ganessa, in case of attack. "Worry not... nothing will keep us from completing the burial rites."

Betrit hears the sounds and then clearly sees Jianyu's strange walk into the grass.
"Must be an elf thing" He says to Branka as she snorts in response. He takes this distraction for a very short break, nearly ready to resume and finish the burial.
Garn also grabs a shovel and is rather enthusiastically digging. The quicker they get the holes dug, the sooner this unpleasant task is over with. He hears the sound but dismisses it. Scavengers, most like, trying to take opportunity and finish their meal. Jianyu heads towards the noise and he also stares in some fascination before he keeps digging.
As Jianyu attempts to move silently through the grass he snags his toe on a sharp stone! As he lifts up his gaze, he notices a small goat approaching.
As the goat draws near, to your complete surprise it looks at you blankly and says, "Please help me! I wish to become a human again!"

Jianyu, stands and brushes himself off, a bit embarresed for his clumsiness. He looks to betrit. Talking to goats isn't really Jianyu's thing. Even less so than talking to people. Jianyu watches curiously.
"Yes, I'm aware goats don't usually talk!" Betrit exclaims at Branka. "We don't have many humans in this part... and even less goats that claim to be human... how did this happen?"
Garn stares with wide eyed awe at the goat. "Are goats allowed to barge in during burials?" This was directed at Betrit. He looks at Ganessa. "Hey, you're a human. Friend of yours?" He gestures to the goat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Does Tempest have any idea why a human might turn into a goat? Nature: 5.)
Tempest puts a hand to her heart and has small tears in her eyes. "Oh my goodness," she approached the goat. "What happened to you, friend?"

Ganessa looks back at Garn in bewilderment and shakes her head in response to his question.
Tempest has no idea how this could have happened and as she approaches the goat it turns and plods deeper into the grasslands, as she glances ahead toward the goats destination she notices a strange building with a twisting shape and boards hanging loose here and there. A sign hangs from a single chain, the other long since broken. The sign has a large mushroom symbol and dark red lettering reading, "MadCap".
The building was definitely not there a moment ago. You watch as the goat climbs the porch and enters the strange building.
Everyone, excluding Jianyu, make a Wisdom saving throw (DC10)

"Aye that's the spirit" Betrit says as he stands up and stretches, leaving more dirt in his wake.
He heads to the door handing Jianyu five gold, "Yer the only one who wanted gold and yer an elf... well, at least we'll get along."
"Branka were movin!" Betrit shouts out the door.
*Grunt*
Jianyu accepts the coins and they disappear. He'll have to buy everyone something nice.
