Nix closes her eyes, she gathers herself for a moment and then begins speaking a Druidic spell Speak With Animals, after her incantation leaves he lips she looks up at Jack and then over at Serenity on her shoulder. Go our animal friends. Help us find the answers we seek and the rumors of the city. May the earth mother watch over you and you hurry back to us. Serenity takes off wishing to please her long time friend. Now Tidbits if your animal friend can join them, our group can hurry off and see what else we can find. By the way what does Oh you're a Druid mean? While saying the word Druid Nix makes autumn leaves fall around her with Druidcraft
Jack gives a low eking sound, which Nix hears as, "Well, I shan't be staying around for this..." and flies off to collect information. Arial raises his hands, "Oh, nothing, it's just that have never really had good experiences with you people. Mother earth this, Mother earth that. Protect nature this, protect nature that. It goes on and on. Plus there's the fact that it's impossible for anyone to ever find you people cause you all in sit in the middle of nowhere. Really, it's amazing druids get anything done."

Interesting I haven't encountered many Druid other than my small tribe. While yes I wish to protect nature, and the land, I most want to protect and save alol the people of this land and learn the secrets of nature. You will soon see I am not like most. Nix says most matter of factly to Arial
Tidbits will set up his ritual (Find Familiar), it takes an hour for him to finish but once he does a small rat will appear from the smoke of the burnt ingredients. "Hello again lord Venerous, won't you be a kind sir and go find me some secrets?" he says to his new rat friend.
You and all your furry friends separate to canvas the town of Red Larch for anything suspicious that could be a potential lead. Some of you ask very forward questions about the cults, confusing the people you are questioning who have never heard of anything about crushing waves or things like that.
"If waves are what you're looking for, triton,"a caravan guard passing through the town's main thoroughfare says to Arial,"you could head over to Womford. Some sailor types have set up a kind of operation on the Dessarin River. Selling things, not sure what. Pretty odd seeing seadogs this far inland, but then, here you are as well." The caravan begins to roll out of town and the guard says his farewells.
Meanwhile, Tidbits has been poking around the Swinging Sword, asking locals and travelers alike if anyone has noted anything suspicious or mysterious lately. An employee directs him toward a lone man sitting at a table eating lunch. He is a half-elf and his robes bear the emblem of a rising sun. He introduces himself as Brother Eardon, a wandering follower of Lathander. "I roam the towns of the North serving as a messenger and priest to the followers of the Morninglord. I hear many things on the road, but the thing most folks are talking about is the Mirabaran delegation. I came to Red Larch from Beliard on the other side of the Sumber Hills and I saw them there, probably two tendays ago. I'm surprised they haven't come through here. I heard them say they were going to stop by Red Larch, but no one's seen them since."
The rest of you don't turn anything of note up and meet back in the inn yard after a few hours. Lord Venerous scurries up onto Tidbits' shoulder and shakes his tiny rat head and Serenity does something similar to Nix, but Jack screeches and fidgets like he is trying to communicate with Arial.
As Arial waits for his small translator, he mentions to the group, "Oh, that reminds me, some sailor types seem to be setting up something on the Dessarin River. Might be exactly what we're looking for around here. Any of you have an idea of where that is?"

My expression is priceless.
Arial notices the human's expression, "What? Am I missing something here? Listen, I've been wrecked, landlocked, and drunk for the past few weeks, forgive me for not being familar with your race's natural landmarks."
Jack shudders as the magic effect takes hold. "Hoo, I am never gonna get used to that!" Jack says, only being heard by Nix. He flutters over to the gnome. "I heard from some folks near the barbershop talking about some shepherd who won't shut up about finding some recently-made graves in the hills while he was tending his flock. I also got monkey-napped nearly three times, twice by some local brats and once by some traveling merchant from Amn. Let's just say I'm not too keen on being without Arial in this town anymore."
To the rest of you, this sounds like unintelligible monkey jabber.
Arial breaks his glare from Robin and turns to Nix, "So, what'd he say? Anything helpful?" As he says this, he welcomes Jack back onto his shoulder and pets his head. "Good job, buddy."

Speaking back to Jack first, I understand my furry friend, you're not as inconspicuous as our other companions, but we thank you none the less. Then looking at the rest of the group, Jack was able to find people speaking of a shepard who found some recently-made graves while he was in the hills. Now on a side note, maybe in cities we keep Jack near you Arial, he's not as in conspiuous as our other furry friends. So what lead do we track down first? There seems to be to many places to start.
Tidbits pipes up, "A priest, inside the Swinging Sword, or under it? Is that the joke...?" Tidbits looks inquisitively back to the tavern but then shakes his head to clear the tangent from his mind so he can get back to the task at hand, "He said there was a delegation, from Mirabar, that should have made it's way through Red Larch here. He was surprised because they haven't made it yet."
"So, looks like we have a few options here... we have a suspicious group near the river, a suspicious disappearance, and a suspicious grave site. Considering who we're looking for, I think the river might be the best choice. What do you all think?"
