I suggest that after we killed the one wolf that's still awake, those left in the round hold their turn or just move towards the sleeping ones. So that we can all surround them in the following round and dispatch them simultaneously.
Grim, reminds me of the Lord of the Rings when the Wraiths tried to kill the fellowship in their sleep, but they were elsewhere. Except these poor doggos aren't elsewhere. If only we had a druid. lmao

I think we should take this new info and split into two groups. One group (Me, Murmen, Arikon, and John) will go the long route and enter from the main entrance, two will stay at the hole and jump in once the main group starts fighting. I think I should start by explaining the mutiny and maybe even trying to get the goblins to turn on the bugbear. After that my first offensive round (if it comes to fighting) is to cast Bane on the wolf, Bugbare, and female, then bonus action sanctuary on John, who will be using my crossbow. I will be up front with Murmen and have hope he uses bless. Once the others hear the casting they should climb up. then we can have a pincer attack.
That is just my two cents. Anyone else have anymore additions to the plan?

I would say we continue to sneak in here as a group. If it all goes South we can slip out the the chimney with the ropes super quickly. I plan on tossing the container of oil Jeb is carrying into the cooking fire as an element of surprise before engaging in melee. The bugbear is the main threat, possibly the woman should she be a caster.

I agree, unless we rush in like storm troops. Jeb and Sharloon rush up and attack. Hopefully survive a round for the next two to climb in, those four continue the fight, and the next round the final 2 climb in. That is asking a lot of survivability from 2 squishy 1st level characters to serve as the storm troopers to take them unawares, dish out considerable damage, and be able to absorb the 1st round retaliatory response.
I think we might be able to pull it off. We could shelter behind those front pillars for some cover and just deal with Missle fire that first round. And then move out to melee once reinforcements arrive.
I think it depends on the DM usually. PHB lists it as 1 pt of melee attack damage.
Yes, Oberan is right, improvised weapon and 1 fire damage.

If Arikon wishes to pop a sleep spell, we can start off combat now. Just tell me when.

ok I'm writing on a post just now ... will the spell be cast before rolling initiative?
No, we’ll roll initiative and then the spell will be cast, but the wolves are chained up so don’t worry.

After the last wolf capable of fighting is killed, then combat is over. No roll needed to coup-de-Grace the ones sleeping.

Right or a Ranger?! Alas poor puppies.
Murmen might be the closest thing we have, and he's not exactly all nature friendly "let's pet the cute doggos."

Because the point of darkvision came up earlier and it will play a role here. Arikon has also Darkvision out to 120ft through his subclass.
Right, Shadow Sorcerer ability. I’ll keep it in mind.

@Oberan Nice Star Wars reference!

Perhaps she won't engage in their defense...
I'll definitely have bless running. Who should I put it on, maybe Sharloon, myself and Arikon?

I could use my last spell slot to put the two goblins asleep with some certainty
