Yes, you can grant another person Inspiration... but a person can’t have more than one, so that wouldn’t work in this circumstance. Okay, let’s establish that we will be using the Bardic Inspiration rules instead. You’ll need everything you can get your hands on in this fight!
Inspiration is a D6 dice that you can add to any roll before you know the outcome of the roll. In some cases, Inspiration would be a D10 dice depending on what the player did to earn it. A player can grant inspiration to another, or upgrade their dice from a D6 to D10. Please roleplay accordingly.
Hey guys, I just wanted to remind everyone that you have inspiration right now. I don't know the level, as in what die to use, though. Usually it is a 1d6.
Especially Arikon. I'll be giving mine to him once he uses his own on an attack.
Just wanted to make sure you didn't misread.

I'm pleased to announce that a new player will be joining us! Welcome _Oberan_ to our Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign. Feel free to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your character.
Currently playing in: Quest for the Shunned City, Coliseum of Conquest, DragonDenn's Dragonlords, Shipwrecked on Fugue, Tomb of Annihilation, Razor's Lost Mine of Phandelver, The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above
Currently DMing: Princes of the Apocalypse, Out of the Abyss, Coliseum of Conquest—The Arena (Sometimes)
First off, I know this game is still in its early phases but it seems like a very creative group. Looking forward to jumping in as soon as the narrative allows. Thanks so much for the welcome! I'll make a brief IC post here to introduce my character...
IC:
(Far across the ocean in lands far from Athetome...)
The pillow was far too used and far too flat to be of much good but Sharloon still clutched it pointlessly over his head to block out the annoying sound in the absolute silent stillness that was his room.
Heavily muscled scaly blue arms yanked the pillow back from his head as the Dragonborn male sat up.
“That's not the point though...” he exclaimed with an exasperated hiss to the apparently empty room. “Boccob's Bedsheets! It's across the entire planet! I've never been more than 20 miles from the monastery...” Sharloon stopped again, starring into the empty corner as though he'd been interrupted, and grimaced.
“Yes.”
“No....but...”
“I'm not sure why that should...”
Sharp pointed teeth ground as Sharloon tightened his jaw muscles further. With a clawed hand he smoothed back his silver white mane of hair.
“Master, I just...am I going to get to finish even one sentence in this...”
Sharloon stood up from the cot. Threw his pillow across the room against the far wall ending its usefulness completely as a shower of feathers cascaded from its wreckage.
“Fine! Fine. Just no more of the 8th Mantra of Henriticus (ooc: I'm Henry the 8th I am, Henry the 8th I am I am...etc, etc.). Please! This has got to be the most idiotic task you've ever put before me. It's almost as bad as the...”
Sharloon stopped speaking. He took a few deep breaths. He centered himself.
“Yes, master. One hundred? That seems a little harsh for just...”
The dragonborn hung his head, ashamed of his behavior. “Yes, sir. Of course, master.”
Kneeling down to the floor Sharloon thought of what his journey would mean tomorrow. He'd need a new spear. He'd have to make sure he had provisions. He'd probably need a million other little things he'd have no idea he needed until he needed them.
But, first, tonight...he had to complete his one hundred push-up regimen.
After all, as The Master had been telling him for years, “...back talking and disrespect must be purged and purified from the body just as discipline and dignity are to be forged within. Now, begin.”
Extending his muscled arms he began to lock off push ups one after another in quick succession.
Even after all these years, through all the training, the exercises, the crazy stunts, the constant reassurances of their importance in the universe, and even now in death … somehow, somehow...the Old Orc's exercises sure did seem more like punishment than part of some 'Grand Plan'.
I'm sorry that it takes me a bit to post. I work nights (4pm-430am) so I usually don't get to post until after I wake up at 1-3pm central time. I can try to stay up longer or wake up sooner if it means that it would be a better experience for you guys. I feel bad that I wake up to a message biding me to post and multiple people skipping me. Is there a time I should wake up to continue posting with you guys? Just give me a usual time and I can disrupt my sleep schedule to make sure you guys don't have to wait a few hours to post. I would hate to inconvenience those playing the game.

Please don’t worry about it. Your sleep and life are much more important than the game. All I ask you is to post at least once within a 24 hour period. This applies for everyone as well. If you’ve been inactive for a little bit and everyone else has posted, I will move the game forward, but that doesn’t mean that you’ve dong anything wrong. Life gets the best of us sometimes, and as long as you make an effort to participate in the game it is fine by me. I simply want to avoid the game from starting to stall and slow down, which causes its eventual death. Is that all right?
PS. In combat you can have a “standing order,” as in you can tell me what action you wish to take in future turns. By default, this will be dodge, but you can modify it whenever you wish. If you know that you’re going to be busy, simply notify me and I will take good care of your character.
Tactics thoughts on next steps and goblin cave, etc:
1) Shar is sitting at 1 hp at present so he's going to need to rest/medical something once/if he's accepted into the group
2) If we can rest near the cave and keep an eye on it we may be able to pick some off as they come out or ambush any more trying to head inside.
3) Facing 20+ goblins in their lair is prob not the best idea without a little caution. See #2 above
4) No idea who "Black Spider" is obviously but the human inside might. I think its also reasonable to assume that he is the guy you all met earlier - Sildar The Dwarf they Gobs were after was Gundren.
5) No worries on any RP animosity towards Sharloon at this point. Given his entry to the game I'd say it was somewhat warranted. :)
6) re: goblins - for IC reasons Shar wouldn't want them slaughtered - BUT - I certainly don't want to just release them at this point. Especially if we intend to try and infiltrate and rescue the human captive.

No worries. Zee could see someone like himself running a gang of goblins so wouldn't put it out as a possibility is all. After hearing you speak he hears no hint of that kind of thought and drops it.
Zee is going to hold off from using any critical resources until he knows they would have to need them again, then he will use his last spell slot to heal up our new companion. Not the best healer but I'll give what I got. Usually save healing word for when someone goes down.
I agree with the cave camping Idea. I can lure some away with some fun tricks, and can also infiltrate (actor feat plus Disguise self) to gather information on the layout and numbers. We even have the option for me to go in with a prisoner (rogue) to pick some off from the inside after weakening their forces from the camping idea.
The more I learn from these goblins the better I can infiltrate them. I wish I knew how to speak goblin lol. Maybe I can include a cut tongue in my illusion......
Sharloon hasn’t exactly had a formal introduction to the group yet, so I’d like some more time to allow everyone to roleplay a bit.
So far, all of you seem to want a short rest. Just wanted to confirm that, and I’ll describe the results of that in the next post. Also, Zee’s assessment is pretty spot on. You have important choices to make.
If you head on the trail, I’d like you guys to tell me your marching order, most importantly who’s at the front and back.

Re: camping out near them...
Infiltrating them somehow is an interesting possibility. Another is forcing them out of the cave itself. That one gets potentially dicey but could be interesting. Especially if you have some illusion type abilities. Just top of my head...
1) Could use the caltrops to 'mine' the area directly around and in front of cave (depending on sentries, etc. - thus the need for some intel and watching)
2) with caltrops or some simple traps (any oil flasks? could set a burn zone or slick zone near the cave as well) could try to force the Gobs out (smoke or similar) or trick them out injured dwarf crying out loudly for help, etc - illusion messenger from King Grol to harass Klarg.
3) A lot of this depends on what the area and the soon to be determined recon actually show (low cave that something can be dropped in front of, shallow cave that would allow for smoking them out, sentries, no sentries, etc.
4) Would love to figure a way to get Klarg to come out to us...

I definitely support a rest. Even with Murmen's healing Jeb is still really weak. A short rest would allow him to recover more. A long rest would be better to allow our spellcasters to regain spells; but not sure if that is wise with a goblin lair close by.
