Ana is not actually where her token is on the map right now. I posted above that she "then walked right past the half dragon" meaning she moved her speed away. So apart from Gravity that corner is free of friendlies and full of baddies. I think if you aimed the fireball into/over the wall of fire you could hit them and not her. Might even clip the incubus.
Ok- yes I’ve often used (in 3.5 In person games) fireballs in the air to “clip the tops” of monsters, etc, or even use the “bottom” of the sphere as a smaller radius fireball. nothing in the spell says you can’t do that- it is a sphere centered on a point. Just comes down to how high the ceiling is.
but if there are no friendlies in that corner, tetrevess will hit the corner and hope to get the incubus as well. If that won’t work then just the two gorillans.
(@DM, Gravity is 6ft, a standing high jump with arms extended upwards will let her cover 2+3=5 ft vertically. She's then climbing the Girallon's body to reach its head (8-5=3 ft movement) but it's difficult terrain and she uses 6 ft movement. Then she hurls herself down 8 ft, but it costs her 8×2=16 ft movement. Total movement= 27 ft. Reaction provides her with additional 10 ft movement, total distance covered= 27+10=37. Her walking speed is currently 40 ft, thus she can move away (40-27)= 13 ft)
That was my initial thoughts and intention, but I'll accept your decision if you rule against the mechanism. Thanks for the explanation.

Sorry, I missed the movement.
He will follow her. Despite being invisible, he sees her reasonably well. Within the mechanic he technically can't see her when she's more than 10ft away, so by RAW she could make an attack from such distance with advantage, but on the next turn he moves to follow her coming back into blindsight range unless she took the hide action, then he'd be compelled to look for her.
<I did revise the ruling (my judgment was clouded by another decision I was making in another game (simultaneously) that sounded similar, but was really something completely different. Tetrevess can definitely cast the sphere above the girralons effecting only them.>

To use a creature as terrain in this way requires it to be 2 size categories larger than the creature using it in this manner. Also, I thought Gravity was a coyote attempt moment, so less than 6ft and not possessed of prehensile forelimbs.
Ana's confidence lasted all of five seconds as the half dragon's sword swings proved he could still see her - though lucky for her they all went wide and missed her. She glared at him, regretting her decision. Out of power, she did the only thing she could and called upon one of the Queen's earliest gifts of fey presence to try to frighten him just long enough to put some distance between them. Not waiting to see if it worked she turned and sprinted away.
((Fey Presence to frighten him, Wis save vs DC 17. Move action to get as far away as possible heading toward the passage way they came from))
The half-dragon seems unable to pursue Ana. At about this time, you notice the chanting begins to falter, the people in the pews unable to continue, several at once start to pass out from apparent exhaustion.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
<Sam has been up for 22 hours, I am deploying NPC actions and moving on. Sam can retroactively still act for this round when Legion4 gets a chance to post>
The girralons break away from attacking their cornered quarry, in pursuit of the fleeing Ana.
Not seeing her, they begin to sniff the air.
Slowly, they both realize there is someone in the room where they see no one stand and launch into an attack, barreling over rows of pews to the spot they smell the retreating interloper.
<smell perception for girralons is 18 with advantage, just meeting Ana's passive score. She could roll higher if she took the hide action. Attacks are all disadvantage>

Pentival shakes his fist with rage and through clenched jaws growls, "Nooo." But his efforts to resist are futile and he lashes out toward Gravity
The gold half-dragon paladin takes a deep breath. His eyes are wet with tears as he bellows and a plume of fire (15ft cone) fills the alcove in which Gravity stands. 18 fire damage. (DC 15 Dex save for half)

Tetrevess, make a perception check (through the manifest mind)
Gravity: Dexterity Saving Throw x Cone of Fire: 18
As a reaction, Gravity will cast Absorb Elements in order to absorb the incoming energy and save it for her next melee attack. She receives partial Fire Damage and has resistance to the damage type.
Gravity will draw out a Dagger and throw it towards the assailant (Pentival). She moves within the melee range of the Paladin and strikes at him using the length of the Shortbow to inflict Bludgeoning Damage while trying to knock some sense into his half-dragon brain.

The half-dragon sneers at the damage, but clearly feels more shame and despair from his failure to persevere past the incantations of the incubus to which he is presently indentured.
Overhead in the center of the room is a chandelier, a simple iron ring suspe ded by chains, holding numerous candles around the edge. Tertrevess, through his manifest mind notices the chandelier swinging, not so gently, but a thing easy to miss with all the action happening in the room. Evidently trying to hide, she spots Phenex crouching on the crossbar in the center if the ring.
(He's got half cover unless you're right under him. I'd say he gets no cover if you're right under him)
<I never mentioned a chandelier earlier. I honestly just added it now, there was no advice until ceilings and we started to talking about ceilings. This guy has wings, a fly sowed should be assumed. I realize I probably never said he had wings, but I did give the statblock for an incubus. All in all, not a total faceplate, but room for improvement>
<weirdly, by RAW, Pentival takes no fire damage, due to resistance and rounding>

(@Wile_E_Coyote, the first round doesn't contain any combat actions, do you consider it as an out of combat round? Gravity's maximum HP will be reduced to 36, but she has temporary hitpoints.)

The girallons take a blast of light and howl in pain as the brightness sears their hides, but they continue their assault on their cornered prey.
