Ink examines the site, picking up the hammer and the crossbow, handing them both over to Flint, saying, "Like the swords, we should be careful with the hammer until we know more about it. What say we go back to the inn for some rest. I have the feeling this is not over yet."
After rifling through the wraith's pockets, once more, Ink will set kindling once again to consume what remains of the undead rider and horse.
As Marav discusses with the rest, Ink decides that hammer’s script language is likely goblin, and can make out the sound of the words but not their meaning...ed-snek tnilf darbuluk kfree-yag reegkri es. Touching the hammer is enough to tell that it contains some magic.
The crossbow seems mundane, but quite old.
The armor is a now-burnt suit of studded leather. Before tonight, it is obvious that the armor was well kept, oiled, and maintained. Its several clasps of burnished brozne bear a uniform insignia that looks vaguely familiar to Flint, but he can't quite place it.
As you examine the corpse and discuss these items, you are suddenly aware of more than a dozen drawn bows surrounding you, their human bearers stepping out from among the trees as if out of magical concealement, surrounding the burning blast site.
"Strangers...outsiders...tree burners..." Another human, male, tall and hale, perhaps in his fifties, speaks in heavily accented common as he steps out from a splintered tree trunk not 30 feet from you. He carries a rough staff and wears a thick animal pelt as a cloak. His hair is black and eyes bright blue, and his bearded face is lined and creased. He can see the remains of the wight that you are gathered around.
"You have defeated a hunt lord, but with much destruction of the old forest. What is your purpose here?"

Ink looks over to Marav, "Don't suppose you happen to know goblin, do you?"

Ink looking at the armor says with a chuckle, "Would've been nice to have that and not worry about casting mage armor twice a day. Don't suppose you think it's salvageable with some mending?"

"Rip, maybe you should do the explaining." He glances at Rip.
Ink looking around eases his hands away from his weapons making sure they're in plain sight at all times, and states, "I am at fault for the scars brought to this portion of the forest, for I was blinded in a rage while battling this undead thing and did too much in order to destroy it. The other copse to the south was lit a flame by another wight, a weave user who I intend to decimate as well. My friends had nothing to do with the fires brought upon this great forest. We came to help our friend, but as my druid friend suggested," Ink gives Marav a pat on the shoulder as he says that, "perhaps it is best if he explains why we are here for himself... Rip, care to tell your story?"

"Sorry about the fires, we meant no harm to the green but in darkness battling wights ones aim to not die takes over. We came hear originally to find a tribe that has taken my children, but now we will kill those hunt lords while we are hear. Do you know of the Tiger clan? that was it right Ink?" tell me if i need to make a roll
Ink can tell that this man is most likely an Uthgardt, given his black hair, blue eyes, and impressive frame. As you look, you notice that he is muttering under his breath and making subtle gestures with his hands. He sees you eyeing him, and again speaks aloud.
"You travel with a druid, you say...you, druid," he says, speaking to Marav. "Where do you powers come from?"

In response to Marav's question, the barbarian man says, "I see no moon. My power comes from Uthgar himself, not from the distant heavens or absent gods."
As he gestures around the area, you notice the flames from Ink's fireball start to die down, supernaturally quenched before they are able to burn out.

The barbarian considers Rip with piercing eyes. "You know not of our ways or our people. You should be grateful that it was I who found you here, for you would be dead if my princess and her group had encountered you." He smiles something rueful. "Magicians—weave-users, as you say—are not welcome among our kind. You would sooner find twelve arrows in your gut than a word of welcome." As he says this, he nods casually to the several barbarians around you, their arrows still nocked and aimed.
"But as it is, I find your story pitiable, and your cause just. The Red Tigers are no friends of ours. If you seek them, then your quest should start with the wandering frost giant. He has been slaying both giantkin and orcs north of here; we have seen his handiwork with our own eyes."
He surveys the burnt wight again. "It is...impressive that you were able to overcome this one. The hunt lords have been a stabilizing influence in this region, and we assumed them to be indomitable."
"Uthgar seems very powerful indeed. I know not his ways, but maybe I should." He looks around. "I learned to hunt from my grandfather Juhmer. I then learned the ways of the forest and the moon. Now I see the wolf on your shoulder and it makes me wonder if my path is complete or if I am being led somewhere."
Marav bows his head toward the barbarian respectfully.
"Ahh you noticed my lineage... no fault of my own. My mother was attacked as was my village and I am the result. That was the start of my journey. Since I have met my friends though it has been leading me to giants in the clouds, in the hills, to protect a town from rampaging orcs, as if they can do anything else. Through that time I have embraced being a druid."
He gestures toward the smoke left behind, "My friends and I are powerful enough to beat the hunt lords, but we couldn't have doused this fire."
