Flint looks over the weapons with a trained eye. "Ye know well as I there be nothing wrong with th' balance or string o' these. They were fine until ye grabbed that scimitar. "
"what could it hurt Ink? if you can remove curses without expending to much energy (spell slot) Flint, would you mind giving this rapier a once over? of course Ink and your weapons have priority as you are already using them"
Ink peers at both Flint and Crownsguard. Quill, stares at the two with equal fervor and ruffles her feathers before giving a 'hoot.' "Yes, Quill, correlation does not imply causation... but perhaps Flint and Crownsguard are not aware of that logic corollary, again, correlation does not imply causation."
Ink moves his gaze from Flint to Crownsguard and then back to Flint, finally saying with an exasperated sigh, "Fine... If you are unable to help me with these, I'll just take them back."
Ink begins to reach for the short swords that are still in front of Flint.
As he's reaching for the short swords, Ink quips, "No one mentioned anything about curses, Rip - I don't know where you get these ideas from."
// Waiting to see if there's any reaction to Ink reaching for the short swords before I post again. //
"Your logic has one flaw, it's easier to prove or disprove the scimitar is at fault then to do so on the 3 other weapons. Also the more you protest against it the more we become convinced it is at fault"
Upon hearing Crownsguard words, Ink stands up and snarls up to Crownsguard, "You compare me to those backwards commoners again and I will break you apart one cog at a time."
Ink stares up at the mechanical knight, with unbridled anger, but seemingly momentarily distracted from his short swords that are still in front of Flint.
"seems like the reaction one of those backwards commoners would have" Rip bristles at the scorn/disdain in Inks voice on 'commoner' given that he himself is of no notable social standing

He then begins turning back to them....
“Threat registered. Generating retort... retort found: ‘You will try.’ Please, do not attempt such an action. It would be dangerous to your health and conflict with my prime directive.”

Ink turns to Rip, "They live in fear and ignorance - that is they're downfall. We are nothing like them."
Seeing the flash of divine light, Ink deftly slides beneath Crownsguard arm and stands over the blades.
Ink's eyes flash green; he then looks at Flint and says, "Thanks. I feel better." He then picks up the blades and rather than sheath them, drops them into the bag of holding, his hand comes out with an old scimitar instead which he sheaths as he picks up his bow.
Ink, as he walks towards the cart says, "They'll be safe in there until we learn how to permanently rid this plane of them."
He hops onto the cart next to Quill, "So, back to save the town or on to Rip's family?"
Ink's attunement is immediately broken with the two shortswords. There is a flash of green that briefly emanates from the blades, and the etched writing on then is also briefly illuminated, before they fade back to their dark metal.
// Ink, the curse from the short swords on you is broken. Your call on how you want to handle any lingering effect on your personality, if any. //
"Rip 'isself 'as said he'd see th' job done in town. Ah'm fer that as well. Any chance ye'll gimme a look at th'other blade ye carry? Ah'd think th' soldier in ye would want ta know..."
Ink hears Crownsguard's retort and responds from the cart, an edge to his voice, "Perhaps we'll one day find out what breaks first: you or your prime directive..." Then with a shake of his head, and a sigh, "... but not today."
"So? Where to?" Quill then flaps her wings and takes a position above the camp. Circling. Watching.

"Very well... To the town then." Looking at the scimitar he just pulled out of the bag of holding, he responds to Flint, "It's nothing special, but thanks for the concern - I'm fine. I feel better - thanks."
Flint looks over the weapons with a trained eye. "Ye know well as I there be nothing wrong with th' balance or string o' these. They were fine until ye grabbed that scimitar. "
“I agree with Flint. Correct me if necessary, but does it not seem strange that your sword and bowed ceased function when you obtained a new one?”
